Read some great reviews on their super delicious sandwiches and amazing service. Had to come check them out. They are a small family-owned restaurant serving the community since 2021. Dine-in, take-out, and catering options are available. They even have a food truck. Menu has a variety of exquisite and elevated selection of sandwiches (see list below), salads (house, chef, spinach), sides (potato or pasta salad, mac n cheese, chili mac), chips and drinks, and kids portions. Every sandwich includes a bag of chips. Water cup is not free. 1/2 Sandwich w/ Soup or Salad BBQ Beef, Boozie Bird, Buff Bird Cajun Candied B.L.T.P., Chicken Bacon Ranch, Chicken Salad Sandwich, Cubano Gambino Italian Stallion Massive Meatball Philly Cheesesteak Shrimp Po' boy Tony's Bologna, Tony's Club, Tony's Garden, Tony's Italian Beef Twisted Rueben Voodoo Jamwich Limited free parking in front of the restaurant. Interior was clean and well kept. Atmosphere was quaint and cozy. Gabby took our order. She was super nice and friendly. Service was great. Thank you Gabby! We got two sandwiches + chips and an order of mac n cheese. I got the Tony's Club with sauce on side. OMG, what an amazing sandwich! I can taste the freshness of every ingredient. Smokiness of the turkey came through. Candied cajun bacon was yummy. The rest of the ingredients (pepperjack, garlic pepper aioli, tomato-vinaigrette, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle) complemented one another nicely. It was indeed deliciously different! My eldest daughter got the Chicken Bacon Ranch that came with smoked chicken, bacon, jalapeno, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, pepperjack, and ranch. I got to taste one bite of it. It was pretty good. Both my daughter and I approve. Side of mac n cheese was just okay. Didn't give us any WOW factor. So glad we found Twisted Tony's and got to try them on our Route 66 Centennial Celebration road trip in June 2026. Thank you for sharing your super-licious sandwiches with us. Highly recommend!

I deviated from my go to Reuben and went for the Tony's Italian Beef. It had a little kick to it, super flavorful and enough to share. My son had the Gambino, and even though the sandwich was giant it lasted about two seconds. The sandwiches come with a bag of chips, there is a nice selection to pick from. We slid in about 30 minutes before they closed, and the lady at the counter was very pleasant and said it wasn't an issue and to stay and eat. Our food came out fast. The restaurant is very clean and well organized. I can wait to go back and try another sandwich.

That's pretty fortuitous since it was 100°+F outside. Overall it looked like parking was a smidge limited, so I'd imagine if this place is busy, you might have a bit of trouble finding a spot. We hit the shift change, but our waitress was prompt and had drinks (hello Guinness) for us pretty quickly. Sidenote though, sitting close to the door when it's really hot out can prove a bit uncomfortable with people entering/exiting and being blasted with heat. We started with an order of fried pickle spears, which were tasty, but fell apart after a bit or two and were fairly messy. Mom and I opted for an order of the chicken and waffles each. It looked significant in the pictures, but having not really eaten all day, I was feeling ambitious. Mom failed to eat half of hers. At the expense of my waistline, I was able to devour the entirety of the 4x millionaire's-esque bacon strips, 3x waffles, 2x fried chicken breasts, and the orange maple syrup (which was unique and fantastic). Overall, while it was pretty good, it was more of an exercise in quantity over quality. I can't even fathom a dessert after this size of meal. This was closer to a 4.5 star experience, but next time I'd probably want to do something with a smaller portion to save room for cheesecake and an Irish coffee.

He had a turkey club and I had a turkey avocado sandwich on multigrain. For sides we had cucumber salad, potato salad, and mac & cheese. A word of surprise, the potato salad is served warm, but it was really tasty. The only disappointment was the mac & cheese, which was grainy and soup-like with very overcooked noodles in it. They had no discernible shape and almost seemed like egg noodles oddly enough. We enjoyed our drinks, sandwiches and salads very much.

Followed by a Monte Cristo. The bread was so light and fluffy. The saltiness of the meat with the sweetness of the bread and sugar with a little spread of raspberry preserves delighted the tastebuds. The side of fruit was large and seasonally appropriate. You order at the counter, where I think the owner was taking the orders and the accent definitely sounded authentic German like the name of the restaurant. She was lovely. Everything is made fresh so sit back and relax and the dining area is designed perfect for that with couches, cozy chairs and comfortable seats at the tables. I looked up what the name means: "Drachenfutter" is also a term used to describe gifts or treats that someone might bring home for their significant other when they feel guilty about coming home late or drunk. True to the "gift" part of the name, you can take yummy homemade treats home with you and they do have a section of gifts you can buy. A nice gem of a place along Historic Route 66.
