Hubs and I have a place on the lake and drove up here for lunch on a rainy and chilly spring day. Craft beer, full bar with local wines and spirits. Not much of a beer drinker but I tried the "Zuko Mango" which is surprisingly sweet. I was very surprised and pleased! Hubs loves his craft brew and tried 2 others (sorry can't remember the names) and he liked both. For lunch I ordered the Greek salad-very good--and Hubs had the nachos. Menu is varied with a good selection, including pizza. We were happy with our choices. Service was attentive and friendly. We will not hesitate to come back on a rainy lake day! read more

Bee's Knees is great local brewery near the Lake of the Ozarks. The beer is flavorful. They brew a lot of the classic beer styles: stouts, blonde ales, IPAs along with some lagers. The service is great. Everyone that works there is very nice. For the food, I think the pizza is the best thing on the menu. All of the appetizers are pretty good too. read more

Cute little brewery with full bar and full menu. We tried the bbq chicken pizza and it was pretty good. Hand tossed crust was nice with just right amount of crunch. I tried their hazy IPA and while it was not too hazy it had a good balance flavor, light on the hops but very drinkable. read more

Beers are really yummy, but the service was awful. Good prices and good selection! We tried both ipa's and the honey ale & ate a salad and pretzels with beer cheese! Our bartender/server put in no effort and poured our beers with like 3 inches of head, then slammed them on the bar in front of us. She was a woman with short brunette hair and heavy eye makeup. I tried being nice and politely asking questions and there was just no effort and she seemed irritated that we were even there. I wanted to know about the flavor infusions, but i didn't feel like i should ask her! There were maybe 4 other customers, so 6 people she was serving in total, for reference. First and foremost, the beer was outstanding! I started with the Six Feet Under and finished with the Hillbilly Hammer. Great profiles with nice bite and finish, the mouth feel was moderate with crisp clean finishes. Toast to the brewer!! Secondly, the food we ordered on a Saturday afternoon was sub-standard. On the 12th of April, 2025, we ordered a Gyro and a Phili Cheese Steak, NEITHER resembled what one's mind might envision. I ate the Gyro. The Phili was sent back twice and finally returned with no improvement, and looking like it had been hit a couple times with a hammer. The Phili was NOT eaten. The wait staff and bar staff were very prompt and attentative. Again, the beer is delicious!! Being our 40th local brewery visit across 32 States over the past 9 months, The Beer is in the Top 3, the food cannot compete. read more

Starting with the pretzels, I liked the pretzels a lot, but there was way too much salt on them (I brushed 90% off of it). The cheese was ok. It was warm and tasted like most Nacho cheeses, and it was not very beer-like. The pizza arrived hot and looked spectacular. The Bacon Lover's Pickle pizza had ranch sauce, pieces of dill pickles, bacon, and fried pickles! The fried pickles were my favorite! I wish they had them as an appetizer! I wanted to like this place- cozy and beautiful old building with what looked like appetizing and varied pub menu, but they cut corners in all the wrong places. We looked at the Brewhouse Burger, but you had to pay 25 cents for each veg that you wanted on the burger; 25 cents for Lettuce, .25 more for tomato, and another for Onions, Pickles and another for Cheese- which is understandable, but they also consider Fries a Premium side which again seems a little chintzy. Sides that did come with the burger, were: Slaw, Potato Chips, Potato Salad Mac and Cheese or Apple Sauce, but fries are extra. We did order The Memphis sandwich, which was delicious! Like the burger though, fries are extra but at least you don't need to pay an extra $1.25 to get it as it should already come. I ordered the Bacon and Blue Salad which sounded really good as it boasts of a lettuce BLEND but when it came out was old, Iceberg but there was not a bit of another type of lettuce in that salad. It was terrible. The lettuce was like eating a paper towel, no flavor at all and soggy texture. Its a shame too, to make your own salad dressing, use real bacon and blue cheese and then go the cheap route of Iceberg lettuce by itself. We did take it home for the chickens though. The Fried Pickles were burned on 1 side and the breading was not thoroughly cooked on the other. I ordered a half Sweet and Half unsweetened Tea which, I thought maybe the waitress just didn't put enough Sweet tea in, so I drank 3 inches and asked her to top it off with sweet but still, there was not sugar taste to the tea. I brought this up to the waitress but all she had to say was "do you want some sugar?". Not at all concerned that the Sweet tea had been made incorrectly, nor did she go and check it. The beer comes served in a 12 oz. Jar which is a cutesy touch but does not take the place of a frosted mug. I didn't not order a Bloody Mary be as they only have the cheapo Zing Zang. The service was okay but not friendly and there didn't seem to be a lot of engagement with the food or business. I'm always intrigued when the menu goes a different direction than the typical area fare, so I asked a question about the Greek food offerings and was told there was no particular reason. So, all and all, it isn't a place that I'd wish to take another shot at. I gave it a 3 because there is potential here, but they could definitely change a few things. 12 oz beer, Iced Tea, Salad, Sandwich and Fried Pickles- $37 and change plus tip. read more

So I admit I may have a drinking problem. More specifically, a craft beer drinking problem. Working in the area, had me talking to a few locals about good places to go. Bee's Knees Brewery happened to come up each time, so I punched it into Yelp and hit the directions button. Before I knew it, I was on my way to an awesome craft experience. There's a wonderful blend of brews from at least a half a dozen taps, and a hefty menu to boot. The staff was over the top nice, and it was great to so welcomed. I ended up coming back MULTIPLE times to enjoy their flights. I didn't get a chance to try the food menu, but if their pizza buffet is any indication, the rest of the food has to be great. If I ever make it back to the area, I'm definitely stopping back in for some more good beer and good times. I added their logo to my hard hat if that's any indication of my review! read more

This place may be the Bee's Knees on a Friday but it's more like a Negative Nelly if you're thinking of going there for the Sunday brunch buffet. It was just so bad. Nothing but some heavy pasta, a bowl of picked through salad and nasty Torino's style pizza that was rushed in from the Gates of Hell to be left under heat lamp in the back room. They have a limited menu, which included a BLT as the sandwich but no burgers. Pricing was out of line and just a single toilet with a replaced seat a size too small in a closet for a mens room. In a bar. Really? Prices are out of order but I guess it's the only game in town off the square. Hard pass. read more

Incredibly disappointed. Have been waiting to try this place for awhile. Since we wanted to try a few things, we ordered 2 appetizers and then our 3 meals. The guy who took our order never returned to the table. The meals came out but we didn't get the appetizer. So, 40% of what we ordered. My daughter was upset she didn't get her ravioli, so I told her we could order the Smore Calzone for dessert since we didn't get appetizers. We didn't realize that no wait staff were ever coming back to the table to see if we needed anything else. So we had to tell our daughter that we couldn't order dessert because we needed to be home at a certain time. My husband had to go to the bar to get the check. Then we saw that we were charged for an iced tea that we didn't order and didn't receive. The food was great and we're in Versailles pretty often, so I was really hoping for a much better experience. As soon as we walked in they were all very welcoming and quick to bring us menus and grab our drinks. The flight I ordered was pretty good they were numbers that I ordered 1,2,4 and 8. I had the chicken chipotle sandwich. It was a little on the salty bland side but still decent. I would definitely like to come back and try the pizza as the table next to had 3 the looked delicious. Every Time I make the Trip from KC to Branson/Table Rock, I'll be Stopping Here. Rarely do you come across an establishment so aptly named that it is what it is named. The Bee's Knees Ale House is truly the bee's knees, cat's meow, etc. The food was great and the craft beer they make was delicious. They do flights of their concoctions and I highly recommend sampling as much as you can. We started with the Toasted Ravioli ($8), a baker's dozen beef toasted raviolis dusted with parmesan cheese and served with their house-made marinara sauce. I loved it--my only recommendation would be to cook them for a minute or two less, that way they come out softer. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Shack Ranch ($9), a smoked pulled chicken breast tossed in buffalo sauce, red onion, blue cheese, bacon, and their house-made ranch on a brioche bun, and served with a side of mac-and-cheese. I substituted the ranch for blue cheese dressing--it was very good and I enjoyed the sandwich. My date ordered Veggie Pizza ($14) piled with chunks of green peppers, olives, mushrooms, red onions, and tomato. She loved it and ate it up. One kid ordered the adult Chicken Shack Ranch Sandwich ($8) with a side of apple sauce and the other ordered a kids 9" Cheese Pizza ($5). They gobbled it up and enjoyed it as well. Overall, this was a great little brewpub nestled in the middle of Missouri and everyone should make this place a regular joint for meals and/or a pitstop driving through. read more

So, last time we came here, I asked to order a beer from a case across the room. As I sat at my table, requesting that beer, the waitress said "well, you can't just go get that your self!
