Road Track & Trail - Me and that bike!

Great out-of-state purchase experience with Road Track & Trail!…read more MJ was the salesperson that helped me purchase a 2018 FLHC Harley Davidson, shipped to me in California and arrived in great condition. MJ was responsive and answered the many questions I had. I asked for more detailed photos and a short video. MJ was happy to get those to me quickly. Paperwork was easy and He stayed in touch throughout the process. Title arrived quickly and via certified mail. Price and condition of the Harley was spot on. No surprises when I took delivery and a great deal. Battery had a decent charge and fired right up. Shipping: Haulbikes was who RTT used to ship the bike to California. The overal shipping experience was positive and Haulbikes did send me an initial ETA and email updates along the way. Haulbikes was a couple weeks later than their original ETA but that was still more than a week EARLIER than what MJ had told me to expect. MJ did a great job setting the correct expectation around shipping times. Overall a fantastic buying experience. I would not hesitate to purchase from RTT again and highly recommend them to California and out-of-state buyers. Thank you MJ & RTT for making my first motorcycle buying experience a great one.

Ian responded with ridiculously long canned text w/way too many emojis and a pushy request to CALL to speak to him all before I had even made it clear I was a real human. Via text I asked for a breakdown of price, tax, title fees, shop fees, etc. Ian made it clear again that "it works better if we talk on the phone" but sent some of the info I requested. Bike price: $8000, Shop "Reconditioning fee": $199, WI sales tax: $440, WI Title Fees were not listed but the total out the door price was "around $9200." Do the math: $1200 over the listed price ... So shady. I have seen this before at other Powersports dealers (Fuel PS, Action PS, and Cedar Creek Motorsports are all owned by the same company) who list a price that is nowhere near the out the door price to get you in the door or on the phone. "Recertification Fees or Reconditioning Fees" that are overpriced fluid changes. Padding the back end of the sale under the vague phrase "tax, title, and fees" to the tune of 15% might be common practice but it's shifty as hell. I thanked Ian via text and ended it with STOP and instead of taking the obvious hint he called (to the same # he had been texting to) and left a message stating that he had provided the info I requested as though now I owed him a phone call for the trouble and insisted I call him. I work in sales and this sort of breathing down your neck, high pressure sales technique is a great way to make good, smart customers never come back. Yuck. No way am I buying from these guys. Read the Yelp reviews! There are LOTS of them with very similar criticisms. 1/2 of the responses from Fuel PS to these reviews state that the person(s) responsible for poor service etc. have been fired...NFW they have fired 25 people over the last five years. I just don't buy it ... and neither should you. : )

The showrooms are impressive--stocked with a wide range of all the latest motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, pontoons, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and jet skis, as well as a solid selection of used inventory and riding gear. My husband has purchased several quality helmets, gloves, and accessories from here. Our Vehicle Purchase Experiences: * My Husband: When he was interested in seeing the used motorcycles in their showroom, it took multiple emails and texts before he finally received a response from a salesman. After he was finally able to communicate with a salesman, visit the showroom and decide on a bike, closing the sale was quite the lengthy ordeal. I think from start to end, from the time he walked into the showroom. it was almost 6 hours before he was all done. A little over a year later, he received a promotional email (from the same salesman who sold him the bike) about trading it in. He replied with interest but didn't hear back for weeks, despite following up by text several times. He did have some back and forth talks with the salesman but frustrated, he ended up trading it in at Fuel Motorsports in West Bend, where the process was much smoother and faster (in & out in less than 2 hours). * My Visit: I went in to see a used scooter listed online at a good price by one of the salesmen at Cedar Creek. We were greeted promptly, and after inquiring about the scooter, shown to the pre-owned showroom where it was. However, when discussing the price, the in-store price was around $500 higher than what was listed online. After I showed the ad I saw on my phone to the gentleman, he said something along the lines of "well, I don't know why he'd list it cheaper", which gave me the impression that maybe the online listing was done in error or it wasn't communicated correctly within the sales team. They honored the lower price, which I'm thankful for, though after that interaction, the vibe kind of shifted downward a bit and I felt awkward the rest of my time there. Despite paying in full (no financing or trade-in), the purchase process dragged on for close to two hours, with our salesman gone more than he was present. I understand certain aspects of the transactions take time (I'm well versed in vehicle sales) and that the salespeople are busy juggling multiple things at once, but lack of communication and interpersonal skills don't help build a positive and trusting relationship with the customer. Overall: Cedar Creek Motorsports has a great selection and decent pricing, but communication and efficiency can be hit or miss. If you're really patient and do your homework, you can find good deals--but don't expect a seamless experience. I will add: Each time we've ever gone inside Cedar Creek, everyone we've interacted with there was always pleasant and nice. The sales staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and do acknowledge you even if you're not working directly with them.
