I have had my hair taken care of my Lisa Reams for 33 years and she is the best stylist I have ever had. She is really talented and I would highly recommend her. She is excellent with color, cut , blow drying. Also takes care of my sons hair who is quite picky and he is happy every time with her. The first time I found out about this salon was through Groupon. During my first appointment, my hair was done awfully, and 40 minutes after I left I had to call and explain that my curls had fallen out and my hair was now flat. I had to come back, spend another 45 minutes redoing my hair. I have since come back to the salon multiple times. It's good when you find a stylist that knows hair, but two other times I have had terrible experiences. Big Summer (there's 2 of them) is awful. Overall, the salon has been helpful in a time crunch, but the customer service is awful. The receptionist always says, "What do you want me to do about it?" whenever she is confronted with a situation she doesn't know how to handle. I'm fairly certain that the stylists are untrained, seeing as I have had to have a style-job redone multiple times. I dislike the fact that the women yell across the salon, but at the price I don't particularly mind. If they deem your hair "too long" by no exact standard, they will overcharge you without warning. One of the best wash and blowouts I ever gotten in my life! And that is saying a lot because I get my hair washed and blown out every 1-2 weeks. I live in Southern California where pricey blow dry bars abound. This wash and blowout ranks above almost all of those ones and the price was very reasonable. My shampoo was by the kind woman who handles the front and scheduling. She made sure to wash my hair well and vigorously scrub my scalp. It felt tingly clean when she was done. Then my stylist, Martin, used a very hot blow dryer, a large round brush, and strong, quick, expert pulls through my hair to practically steam it straight and glossy! You have an option for a finish spray at the end. I wished I could have brought the salon back to California with me! read more

Horrible! Is the first word that comes to mind when I think about my experience at the salon. From the moment I walked in until the minute I left (without getting my hair done) I felt like they didn't want my business and since I wasn't a "regular" didn't seem to value me as a client. I had called earlier in the day to confirm my appointment which they told me was at 2:00 pm. When I arrived at that time the unfriendly receptionist told me I was 30 minutes early. I told her I had called to confirm, she didn't seem to care or apologize. Ok it happens. The stylist that I had scheduled my appointment with was running late. I politely told the receptionist that I had a wedding that evening in the city and that I needed to be out of the salon shortly. She looked at me like that was my problem and said to please sit down and they would try and find another stylist. They did find someone else that they wanted to charge me more money for. I said I wasn't going to pay more because of THEIR mistake. Then some rude woman came up to and told me that my only choice would be for me to wait for the original stylist. They clearly did not want my business. I ended up leaving without getting my hair done. Not only will I not return to this salon, but I will spread the word to my friends to avoid this unprofessional and unorganized salon! read more

Lydia was fantastic and made me look amazing!! What she did in less than 45 minutes was worth every penny. I booked an appt with Martin. I walked in 7 minutes late because it was difficult finding the place. I was told martin left for the day. I went back to my car and saw Martin still parked. He looked right at me and left! This place clearly has zero customer service. They could care less. Blonde lady in the front needs a total attitude adjustment. It's a shame because Lydia did a great job on my hair but I will not return after the disrespect I was shown by the woman in front. She was rude when we called to make the appointment, dismissive and unfriendly when we arrived and just completely ruined the entire experience for us. Had an appointment with Rena.. checked in with receptionist. My hair was washed and i sat and waited for Rena to finish her client in her chair. She finished and walked into the back. I have been going to Lisa from Hair by Lisa Reams for over 20 years. She recently moved to 2 Blowout Salon. I would go wherever she works but I'm lucky that she moved so close to me. Lisa is the only one who can cut and dry my hair. I have very thick, curly, frizzy hair. It's not easy for anyone to dry. In fact, I don't dry my own hair ever. Lisa tells me when I need a cut or trim. She's very honest if there is a style I like but it won't work for me, she will tell me no and find another option. She will always try to fit me in if possible. I have recommended her to numerous friends and people who stop to ask where I get my hair done. 2 Blowout Salon is a good fit for Lisa. It's a nice and friendly atmosphere. I am very happy with Lisa and 2 Blowout Salon. read more

The customer service could definitely be improved. There was no "hello, welcome, etc.," and like other reviewers, I was simply told to "go get washed" after checking in. Another woman (the owner perhaps?) saw my blank look and came over to direct me. Aside from asking how I'd like my hair done, there was no communication during my blowout. Great place for a blow dry and excellent price. I had my hair blow dried and asked for waves and got just that in less than 30 minutes. Nothing fancy at all about this place, just a few charges around a waiting area and a hair washing station all in the same large industrial feeling space. The shampoo station was a bit messy (got water all over me) but that didn't matter since my hair was well done at the end. read more

This place is cheap, only 20 for a blow out but their customer service is horrible. I was a customer for seven months of which I was yelled at, given dirty looks and turned away. after my most recent experience, I cannot give them my business again. In summary, I made an appt. four days prior and when I showed up was told my name wasn't on the list and maybe I was confused. I insisted I had made the appt. and the young girl simply said your names not here and we are busy. No apology or offer to reschedule. We planned on using them for hair and makeup for my nieces wedding. 12.29, we booked the stylists and when we called in the beginning of December to check if we could come earlier, the receptionist said the makeup girl no longer worked there and they had no replacement. When we expressed our upset that they didn't contact us, the receptionist said, "I don't know what you want me to to do." Again no apology. On another appt, my girlfriend and I were ten minutes late, a girl was at the front desk and told us we were late and they couldn't do our hair. An employee, her mother, overheard and said they would do us but then the daughter started screaming in a foreign language and stormed around the salon. The other employees were then glaring at us, fun visit. Finally, my sister and I bought groupon packages for two hair and eyebrows, while they accepted it the first time, the second time the same manager was clearly angry and refused to accept it, when I explained that she accepted my first visit a few weeks back and also accepted my sisters, she refused to listen and said it was for new clients. When I showed her the groupon claim that only hair packages, versus the combo makeup, thread, packages were for new clients, she just angrily shook her head. I told her I wouldn't come back . I would never recommend this place to anyone. Let me start with how unprofessionally I was treated. From the beginning I walked in the door and the women at the front was very rude, no greeting and yelled at me to just go sit to get shampoo. Being that I had never been there before when I asked where that was the women in the front pointed around the corner and told me to just go sit.then the woman who washed my hair clearly had no training since I had my whole face and ears covered with shampoo, conditioner and water. Finally after that was over I sat there for 10 minutes before one of the many women standing around came and told me to follow her to her chair. She never even introduced herself, asked me how I would like my hair or even spoke for that matter.( unless it was in their language and talking to another employee). She was very rough, pulling my hair and when I offered to brush it out for her because it was hurting told me," what do you want me to do " as she is pulling my hair out. She called another women over and they both were speaking their language pointing at my hair for the remainder of the time. These women have no training or etiquette. Needless to say the horrible customer service, terrible blow dry and awkwardness not only wasted my $20 but my time as well. Too bad you can't give no stars!!! I also heard they own a hot yoga place and maybe they should just focus on that since it doesn't require communication and being a licensed hair stylist. read more

I have been to this establishment about 4 or 5 times. On one occasion, I was able to have a great conversation with the woman blow drying my hair. However, during my last two appointments, the individuals blow drying my hair have been extremely non communicative or outright rude. On my most recent visit, the woman working on my hair said, "You need a haircut--bad." Yes, I am quite aware of the status of my hair and I didn't go in there for the commentary. I may or may not return, but always have to take a deep breath before entering as I am not sure how the staff will act as I enter. read more

This place really blew it with me. Been here many times but on a really important day - daughters graduation from high school - they were so behind schedule we finally had to leave. Waited 30 minutes during which others came and got service because "they didn't need a wash" - we would have skipped the wash. They kept saying stylists were almost finished, but there were others still ahead of us. Really screwed things up for us and unnecessarily stressed us out on what was otherwise a fabulous day. At least call and tell us you are running late! Lost this customer for good. read more
