I've known Addy for years and have always had a great experience. She's friendly, professional, and really takes pride in her work. The salon is always clean and welcoming, with a great atmosphere and excellent service. You can tell they genuinely care about their clients. I definitely recommend Addy! read more

I love Addy!!!!!! Literally my favorite. She is so sweet and she does her best to make sure you look great. My partner and I tag teamed botching my hair, so I needed a walk in to fix my pathetic attempt at a soft jellyfish cut.... She fixed me up and gave me what I wanted despite the mess I walked in with. Definitely will be going back because she is literally the warmest, kindest, and most efficient person I have been to in a very long time. It's hard to find this kind of service. Heads up: she is very honest about what will work and what won't. If you want to ask her what she thinks, learn how to take criticism and critiques BEFORE you ask her. I feel like this goes for anything else.... it's honestly just a good skill to have. I am the type of person who like when people tell me things straight up, so just a warning. She saw my gigantic forehead and made changes based on what she saw fit (we laughed about it btw, great lady) read more

I went 1st Impressions as a walk-in, and the ladies who work there were very welcoming. They did a great job and charged me much less than my old place. I'll definitely be going back! Also the place is very clean and nice. Great job Addy! read more

The shop was not clean and not professional. My hair didn't come even close to what I wanted.

Amazing cut and color by Tanya!!! Always! I've been going to Tanya, following wherever she goes, for over 15 years. I've never left disappointed. She does amazing work. Love, love, love my color and cut. Tanya, I dont know what I would do without you. Thank you read more

I'm rating this salon as a great place to receive services and to work, I came in and asked about renting a booth as a person who had newly relocated to the community to attend nursing school(adding aesthetics to my business such as Botox and fillers using the required RN license COMING SOON) but with 19 years as a licensed hairstylist. The five star rating is a result of the beautiful way I was received, the current stylists were friendly and welcoming. I worked in this salon after reading some negative reviews to give it a chance. Both myself and my client found it a peaceful and professional environment. We live in a cancel culture society and of course we wouldn't return to a PERSON who does not deliver excellent services and who does not prioritize customer satisfaction, but it's unnecessary to judge the entire business based on an interaction with one person. If you don't want to spend extra time in transit traveling to get your hair done and you live in the area, come in. As of 5/20/23 I will be working on Fridays as I build in the area, and then I will add more days. I specialize in color, cuts (women/men/children) barber trained for men, natural hair care, extensions/sew ins, keratin treatments and permanent straightening. I use top of the line products in each category. I can't wait to meet you! Email me at aliciamiller066@gmail.com. (that's zero six six) read more

I have been going to First Impression for about 9 years now. I have never had a bad experience there and definitely think its one of the best salons in the area. I have been going to Breann to get my hair cut and colored for about 5 years and she is amazing, I always love my color. I do not even live in the Corona area anymore, but I still come back about every 6-8 weeks to see Breann. Her rates are off the hook, cut, two colors, and style = my rate $85 + tip (I don't know if this is a frequent flyer discount cause I see her every 8 weeks or so), regardless she's reasonable and talented. I can tell she's really building a reputation for herself because her schedule is not as flexible as it used to be. Good thing I'm already on her A-list as a lifer :D -- I just wanted to brag about my awesome hairstylist...but, if you love something set it free -- If you are looking for a new salon I highly recommend it, all the stylists are very talented and in my opinion the color they use lasts longer than most salons. read more

1st Mistake was going to "1st Impressions" Be very cautious about receiving any service from "1st Impressions" in Corona! My friend and I went to a hairdresser, Angela Scouten, who not only ripped us off by overcharging for the purchase of hair extensions of $350 (Twice the actual cost!) and then another $150 to put them in, they began to fall out and change color within a few days. Never having hair extensions before, we thought we could trust Angela. She told us that she could purchase the extensions with her professional discount rate at no extra cost to us and an additional $150 each for attaching them. She said that she does not make a profit off the hair. We asked her if the extensions were difficult to take of but she assured us that it was easy because it was "real hair" and you can do anything that you would normally do with your own hair. Knowing that we were going on vacation and would be swimming in the ocean and swimming pools, we asked again about any precautions that we should take but was again assured that no special care was warranted. Again, it was "real hair" and treat it like your own hair! So we trusted Angela and we went ahead and spent $500 each for the extensions! Don't tell our husbands that we spent that much! Well anyways, we each began to lose large amounts of the extensions immediately. At least one per day! Then the hair turned bright orange after going into the pool! That embarrassment ruined our entire vacation and we could not wait to get home. When we returned from vacation, we went back to see Angela, and she acted surprised to see that our hair had changed to bright orange. She asked us what she wanted her to do and of course we told her that we needed them removed immediately. Bright orange is really not that attractive unless you're in the circus! Angela took them out and said that she would take them back to where she purchased them to find out what was wrong with them. After a week of not hearing from Angela, we called her and she said that the place that she bought the hair from would not do anything about it...No Refund-No Discount, absolutely nothing! The only thing that Angela said that she could do was give us a discount on our next service! Not likely! We told Angela that we had paid all that money for extensions that were suppose to be "real hair" and we did not get what we paid for and were dissatisfied. She said that she would try to get the color back with clarifier, then toner, then bleach ... but all she managed to do was dry out the hair and it became very course. Looked and felt like something you would see on the backend of a horse! Gross! Angela said it would come back to life with a deep conditioner and she would charge an additional $170 to put the damaged hair back into our heads! Are you freakin kidding me? We took the damaged hair to another hair dresser. We asked her what she thought that it would take to fix the hair. She said "It looks awful and it is ruined and that no amount of conditioning the hair could ever restore it! She asked us how much we paid and when we told her that we each paid $350 for the hair. She said" Honey, you got ripped off because that amount of hair can be purchased for $150 at the exact same hair shop. Angela made more than 100% profit off the hair! Then we find out that you should never get into the pool or ocean because it could change the color of your hair. We are very happy with our new hairdresser and our new extensions. She knows what she is doing and the placement of the hair was perfect and we have not lost a single extension. She also gave us detailed instructions on the proper care of hair extensions. We tried to contact Angela again but she has been avoiding us and cancels our appointment at the last minute. I just want to get the rest of the hair that she has kept that I have already paid for. (Probably to sell to someone else?) Our experience with Angela and 1st impressions in Corona was terrible as she was unprofessional, unethical and completely tricked us throughout this whole experience. We sure won't ever get our hair done again by these scam artists! It just goes to show you that the "1st Impressions" are not always the best! read more

All I can say I'm NEVER EVER returning back! Paid $100 for a cut and highlights. Worst heights lights I've Ever gotten. I wanted reddish high lights and come out with Red, orange blonde high lights. I'm pissed! read more

My favorite hair stylist (Lindsey) moved from Bliss to First Impression and she says she loves it there. So of course the 5 star rating passes along. She's a great stylist, and is friendly. She even trims my eyebrows which is a pretty nice touch. I get a shampoo and rinse before the cut and after which really helps cut down on the spiky hair fragments. Her rate has gone down by $5 too so I'm getting the same quality as before but for $5 less, what more can you ask for? As for Lindsey, you won't be disappointed! read more

I called today and ask how much it would be for a semi-permanent hair color and deep conditioning so my hair is 22 inches long and its medium thick and she was trying to charge me $85 which I think is a complete rip-off read more

My hair cut was SO uneven and also she cut off way more than two inches! I am never one to write bad reviews but this was just horrible. I went with tenna and at first she seemed understanding.... Then messed it all up. The other hair stylists kept talking about in appropriate things (it's a workplace ) which made the salon seem so tacky. I will never come here again. Luckily the manager fixed but that just made it even shorter... When I went to get it fixed she didn't even have the guts to apologize. I don't get my refund and I did get a horrible hair cut which she cut more than five inches off when I asked for 2. read more

I am very hard to please when it comes to someone cutting my hair, but Jessie at 1st Impressions one of the best hair stylist have ever had. I have naturally curly hair which is hard to style, but she cuts it and styles it perfectly every time. She is a great asset to the hair salon. read more

I got this flyer for eyebrow threading done by Manita. I walked right in and Manita took me back to a designated, private room where she probably rented out. Manita is gentle when she did my brows. She was precise and kept my brows symmetrical. After she threaded it, she offered aloe gel to help alleviate my brows from redness that was expected anyway. She spotted some missed hair and got those as well. I have gotten my brows threaded since 2003 in OC and LA and I can tell when they try. This was the first joint I hit up in the IE and I'm a happy camper! Location: in the Jack in the Box center next door to a Nail salon. Ambiance: salon setting with a private room for personal wax/thread or whatnot. read more

I've been going to Ashlee for years now, and she seriously does some amazing work!!! I was so impressed with my hair. Hey guys, I have been going to Tim for 8 years. I moved 7 years ago and travel 2-5 hours depending on traffic and love it. I have tried every hair stylist and they are amazing. They are great colorists, extensions artists and also amazing at cutting hair. Their spa side is so great that their esthetician will not take highly expensive jobs with people who are diabetic or have skin lesion which meanss that they will definitely be honorable. My sisters has traveled from Las Vegas and even from San Francisco to get their hair styled so this tells it all. I purchased a blow dryer 7 years ago and it still works amazingly. I extremely dislike when people complain since they are the scammers and have gone once of so. I am not affiliated any way whatsoever nor am I even in the industry, I am a nurse. They are so sweet that when my daughter passed away at 12 days they even felt the pain and really took care of me. No other salon will do this. I have jumped to several salons since the distance is there but no one measures up, and their haircuts look amazing at every step of the way, from the first cut up to a year later since they use the right products and really care for the clients beauty. I have nothing better to say and I am so extremely happy with the service. Do not listen to scammers, true 5 star hair stylist do not trash or bad mouth others, they edify each other and that is the sign of an amateur. Loooove first impression!!!!! read more
