I feel like we were more than gracious when the quartz countertop for the bar was put in wrong, because NO ONE from Colonel was there when it was installed incorrectly. We figured out a solution (not ideal, but ok) so they would not have to redo the entire bar. The crew left a ditch witch behind my garage door over a weekend, along with boards and open paint that I actually backed over more than once. Sloppy, no respect for our property whatsoever. After less than a year the patio pavers needed attention once again. My husband and myself texted the owner and crickets...we had to hire a different company to come and repair it. We had high hopes, but really disappointed.

After some research, we felt good about calling Terry and the crew and scheduled them to come out for a quote. When we met with Terry to get his vision for a retaining wall; he was friendly and knew what we wanted from the start. He was able to match the brick work that was already pre-existing in the back of our house; which was a plus! Terry and his crew scheduled a time to come out to work on the wall; and they made it look awesome! They made sure to include drainage areas and the tiered looks is just what we wanted for the steep incline in our yard. Not only do we use GLC for our retaining wall, we also use them to treat our yard and do most of the yard work. When we first moved in, our yard was filled with mostly weeds and we had a "grub" problem. Well, with their help, our yard is looking better and the grass is actually green and well taken care of! They do all sorts of treatment throughout the year for us at a decent rate and we are so lucky to have them come out to mow the lawn too! When the crew arrives for lawn service, they get things done pretty quickly and always make sure to clean up after themselves. That's when I looked for companies that do flatwork. I like the idea of local, family-run companies and found Hoffman Concrete. I also like that their website says they offer "Excellent Customer Service." I haven't had a chance to see that firsthand. I called them on a weekday mid-morning and got their voicemail. I left a message and then later received a message back with a callback number. I've called three more times since then and got voicemail. I'm not sure what's going on around there in the middle of the day, but I am done trying. There are plenty of other places that would be grateful for my business.

After receiving a letter from my homeowners insurance company cancelling my policy as my siding was…read moreold I contacted Vince at Gold Star Roofing and Exteriors as they had put new roof on my home a few years ago. Vince promptly scheduled an appointment with me and arrived to see what I needed done. We agreed on the full boat. He contacted to replace my siding, windows add new fascia, soffit and gutters. I also needed some work done in my garage and a couple of things done in side my home. He also replaced 3 doors inside and out along with new locks. On top of all this Vince recommended a garage door company to install a new electric garage door. Once the materials arrived Joe and Martin went right to work. These are two of the most polite, respectful hard working men I've ever had work on my home. Even to the point of doing some extra things I needed done. The work was done in a timely manner and the quality was excellent. The overall cost was very competitive and I truly appreciated all the extra things they did without any negative comments. Their bit was middle of the bits, but the main reason I went with Goldstar was the communication and touching base as things progressed on the work that needed done.
