We had a pretty good experience at the DMV today for my daughter's behind-the-wheel driving test --…read moreand she passed! I know the DMV doesn't always have the best reputation, but we have honestly had positive experiences here. The driving examiners may not be overly friendly or chatty, but they are professional and do their job. They weren't rude -- just focused. The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars today is because they were running very behind schedule. Her appointment was at 2:00, we arrived at 1:45, checked in within minutes, and we didn't finish and leave until 4:00. The wait was definitely longer than expected. That said, our other visits have been quick, efficient, and the staff has been nice. I think being prepared, having the correct paperwork, and treating the employees with kindness goes a long way. Thank you to the DMV staff for helping make this big milestone a success!

I needed to update my license with my married name, and the process was incredibly smooth and easy. Unfortunately, the thumb scanner was temporarily down, so I wasn't able to take my photo right away. However, the employee assisting me was extremely kind and told me to come back to her window in a couple of hours so she could get me in right away. I spent the time getting breakfast and doing some shopping, then returned to the DMV, took my photo, and continued with my day. Even with the temporary system issue, the entire experience was efficient, organized, and stress-free.

She was so amazing, patient, and helpful, especially considering it was the very end of her day. Thank you so much, Sandra, I am really grateful!

This department is a disgrace. They are rude and on big power trips. They forget who they work for…read moreand who pays their salaries. They play politics versus doing what they were hired to do and that is to protect and serve the community. Everyone from the top to the bottom have always been difficult. Most of the community does not respect them and nor should they. They treat criminals or those that do wrong much better than law obeying citizens. I will never trust them or depend on them again. Absolutely shameful to feel that way about your local law enforcement. I have been placed on hold several times from calling 911 as if that should be acceptable. Most of the time they never show or show up hours later. Coming from a police community, I can say that the sheriff's here in San Diego do not hold a candle to the police. Having Kelly as their leader has made it much worse. Why anyone would vote her in is beyond me. She is big on playing politics for the left. Just pathetic and scary to say the lease
