Fraudulent Sale, Altered Appliance, and Deceptive Practices
I purchased a refrigerator from this seller under the representation that it was a working unit with a warranty. What I received was not what was advertised.
The refrigerator had been altered with an unauthorized part, requiring manipulation of the control panel to make it appear functional. It was not properly repaired, not safe, and ultimately failed, resulting in the loss of refrigerated medication and significant personal hardship.
Additionally:
He attempted to add verbiage to the second receipt we needed for the warranty company to imply "as is" which was NOT on the original- I have both!
The unit delivered was not the unit originally agreed upon
The price was changed at delivery
Warranty representations were false
Payment was required through Venmo, which appears to be used to avoid consumer protections
This was not an honest mistake -- it was a pattern of deceptive sales tactics. I am now pursuing formal remedies through Florida consumer protection agencies.
I strongly caution anyone considering purchasing appliances from this seller to proceed with extreme caution or not at all.
