I don't normally leave reviews but wanted to give shout out to Harvey at the Bee Ridge location as he was so helpful, friendly, and spent alot of time with me educating me about wall ovens and looking stuff up to make sure I would get the best deal on the one I settled on. I ultimately didn't get one yet (delivery of it might take too long as ours isn't working at all) but I would definitely recommend asking for Harvey if you go to the Jessup's Bee Ridge location. There was another sales rep there at the time and he would get off phone with customers and let his frustration be known very loudly and with some curse words so wish I knew his name so I could tell you to avoid that salesman!! If I could leave 0 stars I would. My parents bought a washer and dryer at this location. As a precaution they also bought the extended warranty that Jessup's recommended. My elderly parents are now having issues for a MONTH with a dryer that is not working, the warranty company is not responsive and has had my dad wait numerous days at the house just for them to not show up. The assistant manager Cherie is less than helpful and jerking my parents around. My father is having to drive to a laundry mat daily to dry their clothes. He calls frequently for help and assistance with no help from the store. They are extremely unprofessional, do not shop here!! It's fraud what they are doing. Shameful to say the least ! read more

Our experience with Jessups Appliances was absolutely awful from start to finish. We ordered a full set of new appliances for our home and were treated with little professionalism, zero communication, and no respect for our time or money. Our salesman, never communicated updates unless I chased him down with phone calls, his go-to response was always "I meant to call you." That's not acceptable when you're spending thousands of dollars. On the first delivery, the install crew told me (while I was home alone with two children under 2) that our stacked washer and dryer wouldn't fit. They didn't even try. They also claimed our standard range wouldn't fit because it was "too short" -- again, without even opening the package. My husband came home from work and installed the range himself. It fit perfectly. He also remeasured the laundry space and confirmed there was more than enough room for the original washer/dryer. We then had to reorder a different washer/dryer set, which cost more. When that was delivered, the installers said it wasn't getting power. We had just had an electrician out the day before to confirm the outlet was working. The installers even plugged in a range from another order and confirmed the outlet worked, but still insisted the issue was on our end. The salesman told us we'd need to have another electrician come out. After pushing back, Jessups finally took the unit back, tested it, found that the issue was with the machine, fixed it, and then returned it. No apology at any point for blaming us. Even then, the machines were stacked incorrectly. Two weeks later, we had to call warranty service because the constant shaking from the poor stacking caused a bolt in the dryer door to loosen, making it pop open mid-cycle. There was also a loud noise coming from the vent, which had to be reattached. This entire process was exhausting, expensive, and completely avoidable if anyone at Jessups had shown even a minimum level of care or competence. We ordered an entire house worth of appliances and were treated like an afterthought. I would never recommend Jessups Appliances to anyone. read more

I purchased 2 new Electrolux machines w pedestals in November 2024. Come January I noticed that the cold water cycle seemed very warm. I called Jessup's 3 different times and did not receive a callback from the sales person, the store clerk or the service/store manager. I finally called again and was referred to a third-party called TAG. Because TAG number is blocked by most Apple phones it took me some time to get in touch with them. When they finally came out this month, May 2025, they told me the hot and cold hook ups were reversed. I have been washing all of my delicates and my husband's golf shirts in hot water, thinking it was cold, for 5 months. I still have yet to get a callback from Jessups. Why didn't they immediately send out their technician to check the connections when I called the first time?? I will not be buying from them again. read more

Went to Jessup's on 1-20-2025 to purchase LK&Q GE microwave that had been purchased from them on 4-2-2015. Sales man Rick M. said 5 to 7 days to get micro wave into their store then will have to set appt with outside installers who you pay directly after they install the microwave. Since purchase I have called their store at least 4 times and Rick M. has returned 1 call / voice mail on my phone. Here it is 17 days later (2-5-2025) and I have not heard from anyone from Jessup's as to when My micro wave might be installed. In fact on 2-4-25 at 11:39am I called and spoke to a woman who told me that Rick M. would get back to me......Here it is 2-5-25 at 2:56pm and I have yet to hear from Rick M. or anyone else at Jessup's. Not impressed, lack of follow up is difficult to understand when I'm a phone call away. We bought a refrigerator, washer and dryer. No complaints about the W/D, but given the experience with the refrigerator would never buy anything else. Needed a refrigerator for an early June '24 delivery, and ordered it in March. 6 weeks after ordering when we inquired about status, was informed that the refrigerator was no longer available. Ordered another model, which was subsequently delivered later than originally planned. The refrigerator was delivered with dents but accepted since it was needed; however, a day later it was confirmed that it did not work. We refused to accept manufacturer repair since it was supposed to be a new refrigerator, and then had to argue over a few days in order to get Jessup to order a replacement refrigerator. Jessup did provide a loaner which was small, but worked. We were initially given a delivery date for several weeks later, in mid July. However, again when checking on status we were informed that there was no confirmed delivery date and Jessup didn't know when it would be delivered. Feed up with this service, we requested and received a refund. While Jessup identified a customer service representative to 'assist' us during all this, and the person was quite amiable, she essentially provided no value-add or assistance. read more

Took almost a month to get it swapped out since parts were not available. Bought a Bosch fridge 3 years ago. Do NOT buy extended warranties. They do not return calls. I have been trying for 3 months to get them out to fix our ice maker. I have left multiple messages and talked to people but no success in getting someone to come fix it. Business Model: We collect the big check at the beginning; after that, you are on your own. We bought all new Beko kitchen appliances from Jessup's in February 2022. Dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer failed shortly thereafter. It took three months to get parts and repairs completed under warranty. During this period, our freezer failed again, this time requiring a replacement for the icemaker. We have been waiting two months for the parts and replacement, again under warranty. Service department doesn't answer the phone - it goes to voicemail - and they don't return your call. The only way to know what is going on is to call but, even then,, nobody follows up. They will tell you that they don't service the products they sell. They don't perform after payment, and neither do their suppliers. One star is too many. read more

We stopped in Jessups on Bee Ridge and the salesman, Harvey, helped us select a great dishwasher at a great price. What a mistake, it took them forever to get the item from their warehouse, it then took them another 2 weeks to schedule the installation. When I got tired of waiting, I called to cancel the order. With that I was promised that the install would be the in 3 days which would have been a Saturday. A day prior I called to confirm the Install, I was told that I was never scheduled and that they never work on Saturday. Brenda at the Installer was rude and could care less about all the delays. I decided to buy my new fridge from Jessup's since they are local, and I figured they would be more likely to provide good service both before and after the sale. I knew exactly what model I wanted-all the salesman Jack had to do was write up the order. He did that, ran my credit card and told me that it was in stock. He said they would call me when they were ready to deliver it. After a week I called them. Jack wasn't in and nobody else could tell me anything about the fridge I ordered. Jack called me back the next day to say they had no idea where my fridge was. He told me that there were so few truck drivers that they didn't have schedules, there were supply line issues, COVID--all of the usual blah blah. I called again 2 and a half weeks later to see if they knew where my fridge was. They said, "Oh yeah, it's here", but apparently had no plans to let me know. When I asked about delivery, Jack told me they wouldn't be able to deliver for another 10 days. It took more than a month to get a refrigerator that they had in stock. Now, a month after delivery, I find that the delivery guys did not hook up the water line properly. Every time the ice maker comes on, some water leaks onto the floor under the fridge, behind the fridge and on the floor next to the pantry. The water has wicked up the pantry wall, warping and ruining it. When I called about service to fix the leak, I had to leave a message. We ordered nearly $21k in appliances for our kitchen remodel. The store carries a specific brand we were looking for. We had a bad experience with our sales rep, Eric Rothgery. We ordered the appliances in May . We told Eric our kitchen wouldn't be ready for the appliances to be installed until July. He said that would not be a problem that they would store them in their warehouse until July. When our appliances arrived at their warehouse in June, Eric let us know and was pestering us to pay the balance and set up time to have them delivered even though I reminded him that the kitchen wasn't ready. We did make room for the appliances in another area and they were delivered June 30. For anyone purchasing appliances at Jessups you should be aware that they do not follow their own terms on their contract/order form. The Jessups order form/ receipt says the balance is to be paid COD. However, they demand you pay prior to delivery. I realize the third party delivery company does not collect the balance but the store could be called and payment made while the delivery person is here. We were apprehensive to pay $10k plus before delivery but Eric ensured us that the items were fully inspected at their warehouse prior to delivery. This was not the case. All appliances were delivered unopened in their original boxes. Eric also told us that he is paid his commission after the appliances are delivered. Perhaps this is why he wanted us to pay and take possession sooner than originally discussed. Eric also mislead us to believe we needed an additional part to one of the appliances which we found to be untrue . We complained to Greg, the store manager and he said he would address these issues with Eric. Now we are trying to return the unnecessary item we were told we needed, We love all of our new appliances but they can be purchased elsewhere. Prior to helping to Jessup's, a number of people highly recommended this specialty store. Rick was the next up salesperson when I walked in. We discussed price points, my use needs and delivery potential. During and after I bought there have been instances where I have needed support and it has been easily given on various aspects of installation and fixing a microwave that stopped working after three months. While waiting for the repairman Rick offered to deliver a microwave for my use. This was beyond any service and customer support I had ever received from a company. Our dishwasher died on the eve of our house guests arrival for a week. Salesman assured us that product was in stock and installing would be "scheduled". No update for 4 days. Upon calling the independent installer we finally find out it that they have a 10+ day lead and told us Jessups knows that. Avoid Jessups. They cloud the truth and knowing that, they don't call back. We were refereed to Jessup's by Infinite Remodel. We purchased a washer, dryer, microwave, and dishwasher. We were told that they would coordinate with Infinite remodel for delivery, which was far from the truth. We received many calls from our sales person, Mr. Suppa to inquire when we would like delivery. After changing one time per our request, it was all set. Once we started the remodel of our kitchen, we were told by installers if we could pick up the microwave, we could have it installed now instead of waiting for two weeks when the kitchen was done. This is when the fun starts. My husband went in and was told by Mr Supra that he did not have the dishwasher that was ordered in July. He proceeded to ask my husband if he would like him to make it, asked my husband if he wanted a job ( they were short staffed), he had PTSD ( not sure what that had to do with anything) he told my husband that delivery was never scheduled for delivery. No coordination with Infinite, as we were told would happen. My husband asked to speak to manager, who was not there, although one of the owners was. Ms Jessup was rude and not helpful. After all of this Mr Suppa said he would take a dishwasher that was promised to another customer. They loaded it into our SVU, along with the microwave. The entire staff, along with owner were incompetent and rude. Once home, we realized we were over charged. I would not recommend going there for anything. I like to support locally owned businesses but in this case, they were incompetent, unprofessional, and rude. read more
