You would think pawnshops wouldn't sell you items that don't even power on. I thought that was step one on taking items in and don't wait till day 8 after purchasing your stuff because your too busy to get around to trying to actually use it because they "can't help" after day 7. Business is slowing here in America - it's a global slowing that you can feel in the air. I have no television and am nearing a flip phone as my technology monster needs to be beaten back a bit. But the older stuff is still in play with a handheld video game is the '80s ilk - maybe a musical instrument to fiddle upon for hours before a single clean note breaks the din of distorted rackets. And as I'm now into the whole he health kick thing - eating organic - supplements - resistance bands and a farm job, I figure - at my age - it's one last shit at the gold of fitness before I crash land back to my couch with cheeseburgers and beer. So I bought another bicycle, it's almost as if I need to buy one in a different state and attach it to my vehicle and drive around with it and ride it twice then store it then repeat. But this sweet little honey of a dualie grabbed me immediately upon first sight and my man Dillan was feeding me as much information as was available to be had - previous owner by a real deal trail rider, my man modified away, stripping much of the identity away which I thought was quite cool. A lighting fast super light Santa Cruz (model currently unknown - calling any bike lovers out there - "got any input"?) and tore it up a bit in the back lot before swinging my card across the counter after some negotiating. Even when they have a lot of customers in the shop they almost always get to me within 10 minutes or so. Everyone in the shop seems to have some general knowledgeable about everything that they sell and each of them seem to have expertise in at least one or two subject areas. They usually have a very large supply of both new and used guns. I have purchased both and I have been very happy with everything that I have purchased there. Finally, their prices are very competitive and in fact are usually lower than other pawn shops in the area, sometimes significantly lower. It is hands down my favorite place to shop for used guns and they have often beat the price of other shops for new guns as well. read more

My first time ever buying a firearm at a pawn shop. Chris was very accommodating and patient with me asking to see quite a number of handguns. There was no pressure at all. When I finally settled on one, they were kind enough to sell it to me for quite a reasonable price (I did compare prices for the same firearm from many different sellers). The paperwork was taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. The handgun functions perfectly and I am very happy with the transaction. I will go back to Buccaneer Pawn in the future. read more

Just sold them two handguns. Offered $315. I said make it $320 - a $5 difference. Nope, can't do it. Hmmm. Seems like they could absorb the $5 to make me feel a little better. Well, now they have a two star rating from me. Kyle is a great person to deal with and not the young man who was unwilling to work with me. Too bad. Very rude people and not willing to negotiate at all. Save yourself some time and go some where else if you want to pawn or sell your item. They must all really hate their jobs because no one there ever smiles or seems happy. They offer very little when it comes to giving you money for a pawn or a sale but they way overprice items in their store. This review refers to the Bradenton location only as I have not been to the other location (and never will). read more

I love buccaneer pawn! I don't usually pawn items so I can't speak on that but this pawn shop is clean and very organized compared to other pawn shops I have been into. They have great prices and are willing to negotiate with you. Before paying retail go check them out they have literally everything you can think of. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE business. Needed 3 days to make a pawn extension, called and talked to "Jesse" who said it was fine and that he would make a notation on my account. Showed up 3 days later exactly when I said we would to find out that they had sold 1 gun, another was on lay-away and two were on the shelf for sale. "Jesse" was no where to be found or contacted and the on duty Manager was argumentative and muzzle swept me with my own pistol and became VERY HOSTILE when I politely asked him to not muzzle sweep me with a firearm. At best Jesse's "word" is absolute garbage and at worst they are THIEVES! You've been warned, do business with them at your own risk..... read more

I do all my firearms transfers through them which they do for an unbelievably reasonable $15. I've never positively reviewed anything online but I've had so many good experiences there I felt obligated to do so. read more

This store has pretty good selection at times and one of my favorite places to go to buy guns. Prices are usually good and they have the lowest price on ffl transfer in the area ($10). I always check if they have the gun I'm looking for before I go anywhere else. They also buy things that you don't need anymore. read more

I was in need of financial help and Buccaneer Pawn saved my life!!! I dealt with a guy named Jesse. He was absolutely a very kind hearted genuine guy. I had some broken gold necklaces and I took it to a few places where I was offered $50-100. I handed him my gold he weighed it and played with his calculator for a few minutes, to be honest I thought he was trying to make it look like rocket science, then he offered me $300!!!! After this experience I will never go anywhere else. A+++++++++ great service and really helped me when I was in need.. hope this helps!!! read more

worst customer service I have ever had in my life!!!! do NOT bring ANY EXSPENSIVE items to pawn, my BRAND NEW $1000 computer (I spent to much and needed some help with an unexpected bill) was brought into them I was offered ONLY $150 and was completely low balled on the price sadly I went ahead and took it. well fast forward a few months and $500 later given all I spent to extend it and get it out. I went in to pick it up and when I got in the car and got a good look at it, there is a 2inch area on the bottom area of the screen which is damaged and on the bottom corner the screen is popping out of the metal casing and is completely broken. please keep in mind I just bought the item a week before pawned and was in absolute perfect condition. I went back in and confronted them they blamed me saying it was like that or I dropped it. that they are 200% sure they didn't do any thing blah blah blah didn't give a hoot about what they did could not even admit it was possible one of the employees could have done it. they were very rude owner included about the whole issue and refused to do anything to help, wouldn't even show me the picture taken when it was pawned because they knew it showed no damage. on top of all that the price tag on it was for $750 when I fell a little behind and they put it on the sales floor. This is by far the worst place I have ever been bad service, and no respect for your items and low ball prices where they can make 5 times what they give you. Please save your self the trouble and go any where else, had I seen this before I went in I would have saved my self so many problems. good luck, venture in at your own risk!! read more
