    Shrimp mofongo

This place is a combined Italian/puerto Rican restaurant on the strip. We stopped in after we couldn't get in to a few places in old San Juan. The good: ambiance was nice, we sat on the second level terrace, most of the staff was friendly, mojitos were good. The just okay: the food- wouldn't come back for the food. Pizza and mofongo were fine, nothing spectacular.

On our last day in Puerto Rico, we went to 1950 Condado based on what we read in reviews. We went because our party had varied food requests and we wanted to accommodate everyone. The idea of three restaurants coming together was intriguing and lived up to the expectations! We had two pizza orders, one skirt steak and pesto pasta and one pulled pork appetizer. The server was really helpful and did a good job keeping up with us through the meal. Lastly, the decor is fun, floral and different!!!

This place did the trick and fed a family of 5 happily. The fish tacos with chipotle mango salsa were really good. Others in my family had the margarita pizza which they enjoyed. Cool ambience so overall a successful meal and solid choice.

    Cool ceiling upstairs

Did I enjoy it so much bc I had dinner alone on a family vacation? Or was it the delicious food and drink? YES. Such a cool vibe and restaurant.

Food was great in taste, portion sizes were adequate, the ceviche could use an extra order of tostones to match the quantity of ceviche. Their Sangrias are amazing, highly recommend. The service was friendly and attentive. Their rooftop is the perfect place to chill after a day at the beach or for some music, scenery, and a view.

We ate here at her last night. It was down the street from our hotel. The nice thing about this place is that there are three different restaurants and one and you can choose options off of each menu. They were a Puerto Rican restaurant, Italian restaurant and a tapas restaurant. so plenty of things to choose from. We decided to order from the Puerto Rican menu and my son ordered the country style rice "arroz estilo campo" which was yellow rice mixed with beans, sweet plantains, skirt, steak, pork, Puerto Rican, sausage, chicken and chorizo. It was served with fried Tostones. He said it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Carne Frita (fried pork) which was fried pork chunks topped with onions. It was really good. We also decided to order off the Italian menu and opted to try one of their pizzas. Not a typical pizza you would find in the US but we wanted to try it anyway. It was called Boricua had ground beef, sweet, plantains, peppers, onions, bacon, and cheese. Their pizzas were cooked in a wall oven that you would find in the US and it was actually very good. We ended our meal with their crème brûlée and it was super delicious. Our server was Sofia and she was super nice and very attentive.

As we were walking down the street to figure out dinner, we chanced upon Bodegar Wines and Tapas. Upon request for the a table for 2, we discovered that this place is actually a 3-in-1. The menu from Di Zucherro, 1950 Condado and Bodegar Wines and Tapas were all included. We had the option to choose from any of the menus. The rooftop seating was very enjoyable on a pleasant evening such as yesterday. We got The China Doll and Agave Margarita for our drinks along with calamari and bruschetta. I loved my drink and calamari was delicious. The bruschetta wasn't the best but enjoyable. For our mains we got pasta primavera in pesto sauce and it came loaded with vegetables which I loved. It was a little bit salty and we couldn't go through it a whole lot. Service was nice. The server checked on us a few times and the wait time for food wasn't as long as some of the other places we have been to. Loved the decor and the rooftop experience.

Loved the fun rooftop atmosphere. Our server was very nice and the food was delicious. We had the appetizer sampler and was perfect for my husband and I to share. I got the china doll drink - it was fun and different- highly recommend. My husband drank Ocean Mambo which he enjoyed. Great dinner date! Only down side was bottle water - which cost

Group of us were staying across the street so we decided to pop over for dinner one night to try some traditional PR food. The Mofongo was fantastic as were the empanadas and I also ordered some battered fish tacos. The portions on the tacos were insane, tons of lightly batter fish topped with a slaw that had some sort of a dressing tossed on it. Medalla's were also decently priced so a great experience overall.

Great service and the food was amazing! A must go to especially if you're staying at the Marriott! It's right across the street.

We arrived at 11am on a Monday because that's when we thought they opened. They actually opened at 11:30am, so we were 2nd in line at 11am. Once 11:30am rolled around, the line was very long. It's an old house that was transformed into a restaurant. It's pretty big in there and they have an upstairs as well. It really feels like you're eating in a Caribbean home, from the colorful tablecloth to the things on the tables. The menu is on a board, and they have a Spanish and English version. They give you a cup of complimentary plantain soup which was amazing. We also ordered the fried cheese app which came with a delicious guava sauce. For mains, I had the fried pork with tostones and my husband had the mamposteado (corned beef, fried eggs, and rice). My husband cleaned his plate, while I took leftovers back to the hotel (which we actually ate later because it was that good). They were out of tres leches that day, so we had the coconut pudding for dessert. It was my first time trying coconut pudding and it did not disappoint! For drinks, we had the passionfruit sangria. When we left, there was a very long line outside. Despite the line, they did not rush us out. Definitely recommend and would go out of my way to come back next time I'm in PR.

There are so many spots that are authentic and incredible, but La Casita Blanca stands out in its own lane. It's gotten more popular and touristy over the years, but that's because they've stayed true to who they are. The authenticity here hasn't changed, and that's exactly why people keep coming. This is the kind of place where the menu brings you right back to your upbringing. You'll find dishes like corned beef, tostones con bacalao, and other classics that just hit differently. And the vibe? It feels like family. Someone who looks like your aunt might be cooking your food, your cousin might be serving it, and everyone treats you like you belong there. Food-wise, everything we had was fire. One of the people I was with is basically an "aguacateologist," and even he said it was one of the best he's ever had. That alone says a lot. Chuletas fried to a perfect golden crisp. The pollo fricasé (pollo guisado, if you know, you know) was on point and even came in a little pot that made it feel extra homey. Arroz con gandules? Off the hook!!!! And to top it all off, they had salsa playing in the background... which honestly had me sold the moment I walked in. Disclaimer/Warning; There will be a line!!! And if you're lucky enough to get a table, sit back and enjoy every second of it.

The inside looks like a cafeteria but it stays busy. We were seated quickly although it seemed packed. They have a good amount of menu options and cross out what isn't available. They also have drink options that our server listed to us. To start, we ordered the lobster empanadas and sangria. The empanadas were delicious! Very tasty and fresh. The sangria however, was not great. It just tasted like juices that don't really work together. I couldn't taste the wine. We ordered the roasted pork and skirt steak. The steak was really tasty, and juicy. But the roasted pork was very dried and hard. It had some good bits in it but there were quite a few pieces that were too cooked to eat. The rice and beans were cooked very well. This is the perfect place for quick local food where you won't spend too much. But if you want a very high quality, I would choose elsewhere.

My son had the churrasco (skirt steak) and it was excellent. We ordered sides of amarillos (sweet plantains) and they were the best ones we had the trip -- soft, juicy, with caramelized exterior. We wanted tres leches for dessert, but it sold was sold out. If you only had one "typical" PR dinner, I would suggest Bebo's.

Even the Caesar salad stood out--crisp, balanced, and done exactly right (which is rarer than it should be). But the real star of the show for me? The guava and cheese bread pudding. I'm not exaggerating when I say I would 100% pay to have that Ubered all the way to me in Miami. It was that good.
