Really cool bar with good food and super great environment! They have a pool table and big TV's! They even had karaoke when we came in Friday night which was really cool. It's a super chill bar where you can just chill! The other side has dancing and is more like a club but the side we were on you can order food and drinks and also watch the game and play pool so it's a really nice mix depending on what you are trying to do that evening! If you want to dance or just hang you can do it all here in one location!

2 different prices for soda. Both of my kids ordered a soda but I was charged for 1 kids drink and a soda?

ZERO STARS. Bad service is one thing and terrible food is another. But to get BOTH is so disappointing and a waste of money. We were 1 of 3 tables and you would have thought the place was packed with how terrible our service was and our waitress disappearing. We ordered the happy hour tacos and nachos. I've had better nachos at a high school concession stand and the tortillas for my tacos were so stale they were crumbling. Also, we ordered 2 sodas that were 2 different prices. Never will we ever support this place again.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! Looking for a place to eat and enjoy time with your friends/family? This is your spot. Great weekly specials and great atmosphere to eat and have a drink with some friends. Great inside ambiance, friendly staff, yummy food and great drinks. I ordered the meat and cheese platter, under $20 and you get a lot of food (highly recommend). So delicious and filling, I will also recommend the appetizer sampler as well. As far as customer service goes it was perfection. We were served by Meghan and she was delightful, informative and fun to interact with. Will definitely be back soon, I hear there are bands that play there, adult sized games in the back room and a multi-fireplace patio area. 100 stars from me. Great experience!

Breakfast available on weekends... plenty of options, affordable, friendly staff, breakfast cocktails or non alcohol drinks something for everyone. As for my order: Bloody Mary with a breakfast shot, bacon & cheese omelet with country potatoes, sourdough toast and side of hollandaise sauce (for the omelette). Our table also had pancakes, biscuits & gravy, Eggs Benedict, and chicken fried steak which were all hailed as terrific and hit just the right spot. Highly recommend considering them as a weekend stop.

Excellent speakeasy bar and grill located in Bakersfield. Excellent service and great selection of alcoholic beverages. Ribeye was good for a bar and grill and the pasta was delicious. Fyi the pasta could feed 2 people. The environment was nice and clean and great spot to hang with friends

I've been coming here for a while and they just put in karaoke on Fridays and Saturday nights. It is popping and that girl Cassie can sing

I asked my kids to lunch and they directed me here. I didn't even know this restaurant existed until today. It's tucked off the street in a huge building with a industrial feel with high ceilings and several enormous TV's. They have a big meeting room which is available to rent and a great outdoor patio area with misters. They have a nice big menu from burgers to appetizers and sandwiches to pick from. We ordered BBQ burgers and a cheesy flatbread and a order of Mac and Cheese. The Mac and Cheese is absolutely delicious. and you can order your cheeseburgers cooked the way you want. The fries are insane here. All our meals were great and the service was too. I am definitely going to go back. I'm so excited my kids told me about the 1933. They also have a great happy hour so don't forget to stop by.

Even the manager came up and introduced herself and we had a nice chat. Smaller space than most bars but that is fine as for now, this place does not seem to get very busy. Even though happy hour runs late! The prices for drinks were more than affordable but nothing fancy. Your moscow mule for example will come just in a regular glass (darn thieves!) and not the slick, proper, copper mug that will keep your drink colder for longer. Again, think Denny's. Also tried a simple vodka drink and a margarita. They were fine. We went on a Fri night I think at 9pm when surprisingly, karaoke started. THIS was interesting. I was excited as it was listed as 80's night but as the night went on, 'anything goes' was the rule. It was fun but the same people went up over and over again trying to get their big break! They were having fun with it - we just decided to leave when the foul, crappy hip hop came on. The mood had shifted. There are booths, high tops and you can eat from the regular Denny's menu. We did not eat but what was recommended to us by staff were the burgers and skillets for next time. To sum up - this is a very casual spot to bring some friends and have drinks on the cheap with friendly service. And a diner menu if you are hungry that serves late into the night.

Nobody plans to spend an evening in Bakersfield. You pass through it on the way to somewhere else…read more-- Mammoth, the Sequoias, the long flat grind up the 99 to Sacramento -- and if you stop at all, it's for gas or a bathroom or because your BMW's brakes have decided, somewhere around the Grapevine, that they'd rather not. Thank you, Weatherford BMW of Berkeley, for the near-death experience and, inadvertently, for one of the best nights out I've had in years. Stranded and waiting on repairs, we checked into The Padre, the only hotel in Bakersfield that feels like someone with a subscription to Dwell had a hand in it, and set out walking through a downtown that time has treated with more kindness than reputation suggests. There's a Woolworth's luncheonette still hanging on. There are old brick facades and wide sidewalks and the particular quiet of a Central Valley evening when the heat finally breaks. And then, on 18th Street, there is Tiki-Ko, and suddenly you are no longer in Bakersfield at all. You are, instead, inside someone's magnificent obsession. Tiki-Ko is a proper tiki bar -- not a tiki-themed cocktail lounge, not a place that bought some bamboo at a craft store and called it atmosphere, but a genuine, committed, floor-to-ceiling shrine to mid-century Polynesian fantasy. The carvings are real. The lighting is correct -- which is to say, barely there. The mugs are serious. There are pufferfish lamps and carved totems and the whole glorious taxonomy of tiki ephemera, accented here and there with a skate-culture edge that keeps it from feeling like a museum. It's reverent without being precious. The drinks are the real thing. Mai Tais built with actual orgeat. Zombies that earn the name. The bartenders make them with the kind of care and enthusiasm that tells you this isn't a gig -- it's a calling. They want you to be here. They want to talk about rum. They want you to try the Painkiller. In a city that most Angelenos regard as a punch line, somebody built a world-class cocktail bar and filled it with joy, and the regulars clearly know it. You will not plan a trip to Bakersfield. But if you find yourself there -- by mechanical failure, by accident, by the peculiar mercy of a bad brake job -- walk downtown. Find the tiki bar. Order a second round. Stay longer than you intended. Bakersfield has been underestimated, and Tiki-Ko is the proof.

I only had a drink upstairs at the original bar and I ordered my default go to when I visit new tiki bars and am unfamiliar with their menus and that was the painkiller. The service or person behind the bar was chill and super friendly. I came in on the earlier side of a Friday evening, so although people were trickling in, the place wasn't packed. Since I was only able to stay for a drink, I just wanted to walk down and check out 'The Sinking Ship' and was thoroughly impressed by the decor (well pretty much for both spaces). Definitely a place I'd love to grab drinks with friends or spend more time at.
