Plastic sink cups in bathroom.

We checked in during the late afternoon, near dinnertime. Since we had two large dogs with us, we assumed our room would be across the street from the main building at Pondisde. After looking at the room, we noticed the mini-refrigerator was not only unplugged, but the three-pronged (grounded) plug was incompatible with the socket nearest the refrigerator. Additionally, the TV plug didn't reach the socket. I went to the front desk to ask for assistance. The clerk said he would find a manager and have it taken care of. I told him we were eating dinner outside at the restaurant (with our dogs) and could be reached if they needed us for anything. After dinner, we returned to our room, but nothing had been addressed. I stopped by the office, but they had closed early. I called the front desk, and no one answered; I left a message explaining the problem. Later, we went to the restaurant bar, and the clerk who had "helped" us was there having drinks. At the bar, I asked the bartender for help, and the night manager stepped in and found an extension cord for me. We got the refrigerator to work, but the TV still didn't work. The room was dirty. There were two small green Solo cup shot glasses in the bathroom; we thought they were meant to be drinking glasses for the sink. But they had ashes in them and were clearly left behind (see picture). I called again the next day and stopped by the office, but once again, it was closed, and no one returned our call. On the day we checked out, I wanted to speak with someone about our experience, just to let them know about the problems we encountered. No one ever returned our calls. I tried to speak with them three times, but they never bothered to respond. For the price of the rooms, the service we received, and the cleanliness of the property, this inn is simply not worth the money. This was not our first time at the inn, but it will definitely be our last.

Pictures on site are fantastic, not sure where they were taken. Make sure to ask for them. Booked online and was placed at another location called Pondview just down the road. The room was TINY TINY with a TINY tub in a TINY bathroom and VERY uncomfortable CHEAP beds. The room is poorly maintained and aged. Not historically aged, but rather inattentively aged. Motel 6 has nicer rooms...nice folks but room was a fail. 1896 restaurant was great!! Overall opinion- not worth the expense, pictures on site do not reflect accommodations.

We stayed here Saturday night and paid almost 300 with taxes etc for our room. Next time we'll spend two nights and book Downstreet or the porches in North Adams instead. The beds were comfy but the bathroom was awful. Mold, cracked shower stall, water stains on the ceiling tiles... Avoid if you can.

I had the displeasure of paying $160 for one night booked in this place. The mold smell hit me as I opened the door. We arrived late and another room nearby on a Sat was not an option. I realized I would probably be going to the hospital in the middle of the night if I stayed in this room, as I have mild asthma, the mold in the air was thick, and visible in the bathroom and carpet. My lungs exploded in this room. The bathroom floor is soft, moldy, and ready to cave in. All of the windows are inoperable, except one that I repaired myself and managed to wiggle open for fresh air. Ultimately, because the office was closed, I SLEPT IN MY CAR ALL NIGHT. I wrote a polite email today asking for an adjustment to my charge, and was called by the hotel and absolutely ripped apart. Apparently they "love" the wet moldy carpet and bathroom" "it's their favorite unit". Friends. If this is the nice one, PLEASE RUN. Place should be condemned. And I am an easy custo

My boyfriend and I stayed here last night just to get away for an evening and it was wonderful! Check in check out was easy. Pretty property! Our fire was roaring when we opened the door. Room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Great jacuzzi! Chef brought us breakfast in the morning and it was delicious! Close to museums and downtown Williamstown. I would give it 6 stars if I could!

Shower door didn't close

There is a difference between cool throwback broken and moldy old. Place really stunk like moldy old musty furniture. it was so bad we moved to another suite, still stunk terribly. we came all the way from Fl as I missed the seasonal changes fall brings. Paid 400$ a night fo this place. MANY things were broken, lights, doors, locks, furniture and the smell was unbearable. wanted so get away from the sterile holiday inn type places but wanted recreation of olden times not broken smelly stuff from then. Was a big fall foliage time so no hotel rooms anywhere else . Also no maid service at all in the 4 days we stayed. Stay clear. Could be a beautiful place but falling into utter neglect. Pics wouldn't load but I took a few, no ac or heat, mold on floor, shower door wouldn't close I could go on ...

The hotel room was beautiful! We had a luxury one with the jacuzzi and fireplace!! The pictures Online do not do it justice. We were in room 206 and felt so comfortable. The Air conditioning didn't work which was terrible at fist but thank god it got cooler during the night. For no working a/c I wouldn't pay that price again but we definitely enjoyed our time. Especially the restaurant right next door, a 10% off coupon for the restaurant and just how quiet and relaxing it was.

Went there with a large group. In fact we booked the entire hotel. Unfortunately they were not ready for us. My room had an open container of alcohol in the refrigerator which sat on the floor. The bathroom floor was falling in at the joist. Others had no soap no toilet paper. Signal to the TV kept going in and out. DO NOT STAY THERE. Telephone signal is non existent unless you have Verizon. This may have been a nice place one time a few decades ago but lack of maintenance over the years have taken it toll.

Charming seating area with a toasty gas fireplace next to the King canopy bed.

Decent and in a nice location, but the decor was dated. Beds were comfortable, but I'll probably stay elsewhere the next time I'm in town.

We enjoyed listening to the babbling brook while sitting in the wicker furniture on the porch just outside our door.

We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay with Lesa at Blackinton Manor this weekend. We were in the…read morearea to move our youngest son back to school, and our oldest son and my parents came along. Lesa welcomed us when we arrived after dinner and made us feel at home with homemade baked goods and wine. Our rooms were lovely, and although the manor is two hundred years old, it has all the amenities one would expect in modern accommodations. The beds are extremely comfortable as well. Breakfast was a treat, a feast of local yogurt, homemade scones, tea cake, frittata, fruit, and ham. Lesa is the perfect host--warm, welcoming, accommodating, talented in the kitchen, and genuinely concerned with providing her guests with a wonderful getaway. Staying in her lovely home feels like visiting a friend. We will return whenever we are in the area. The Blackinton is a gem!!

If I believed any place I was reviewing was terrible I would never say it was awesome, so just because I know the innkeeper doesn't mean I'm sugarcoating my experience. I wanted to share that I think the Blackinton Manor is a lovely place to stay in the Berkshires. The hostess really cares about her guests' full experience. She strives to use locally sourced products whenever she can. She wants everyone to feel like they are comfortable and at home in her home, and I definitely felt comfortable here. And she makes yummy and hearty breakfasts. If you're lucky enough to be served the sticky buns, you're in for a real treat. Stay here. You won't regret it. Things to note: She does have a dog, who while friendly and gentle, is still a dog and will be at the Manor while you're there. So if you're not a dog person, this might not be the place for you. Also, if you have food allergies or restrictions, be sure to disclose them. She'll ask when you arrive but it's nice to let her know in advance so she can prepare for your stay and make your meal as yummy and accommodating as possible.

Our room was cozy and comfortable with a spacious bathroom. We didn't take advantage of the heated outdoor pool and sauna but were delighted to discover a blues concert happening in Studio9 on the property. Looking forward to returning soon.

I have wanted to visit this inn since it opened. I remember reading all about it…read more It was fine. I feel it was expensive for what it offered. The breakfast that was included in it, though repetitive was fabulous and thoughtful. Bagels, cream cheese, lox, hard boiled eggs, yogurts, fresh juices, coffees and teas. We had 2 breakfasts and took the same things. Bagels, lox and cream cheese, OJ, coffee, eggs. There are a couple. of baked goods that were very disappointing. They should upgrade those definitely. The rooms were fine. We were automatically upgraded to a suite because we paid in advance and went mid-week. The bathroom was lovely, nothing to change. The hallways and rooms were a bit dated. Fresh paint, cool colors, but old. The room AC units were loud too. Was ok but wouldn't return. In the hallways there is great unusual art. Like what you would put into your own home which is cool and unusual. The colors they chose to decorate with were wonderful. But, for example, we had a painted old wooden floor with throw rugs. A bit uneven. Not something I'd ever put into our home. The grounds were very nice. It was nice weather when we were there, and we brought bathing suits but the pool was covered with leaves. They are expanding which is cool. Mass Moca is right there which is nice, and this was very centrally located which is also nice.

Could be because this room was in the separate white building across the parking lot? Not sure. Mattress was not comfortable (we both woke up with back pain). The following night slept on the edge where the mattress hadn't sagged and woke up better that morning. The owner was great. We had a few extremely loud and obnoxious people (sounded like late teens/early 20s based on their conversational topics and actions) come stay in the adjacent room and when we called the front desk to complain, he said he'd take care of it. And he did and called us right back. They immediately quieted down (well, stopped yelling at least and were quiet enough for us to get some sleep). The walls are super thin though, generally speaking, so bring ear plugs if you don't want to hear clear conversations going on through the wall.

Since the rooms are fairly bare, they are an echo chamber for the rooms abutting it (top, sides). From about 1045pm-3am, I heard nothing but TVs, footsteps, doors opening and closing, and talking. I didn't sleep at all. The bathrooms don't vent, so shower steam and smells stay, creating a musty smell and humid room. Breakfast is a bit of a joke. Service was okay, sort of an odd encounter overall. I don't really recommend this place. If you need a cheap, short term stay, maybe this is it, but is just spend the extra $50-$80 to stay somewhere else.
