Their gorgeous house is model after a Southern style mansion set on over 60+ acres of land. The views of Lake Wentworth and Winnipesaukee are breath taking. The breakfast was excellent. Even had fresh local scones from the secret bakery in Wolfeboro. One thing should be mentioned. They have 6 dogs on the property. If you don't like dogs or are allergic, this is not the place for you. But for me, it was great. I love dogs. There were well behaved and the whole property is invisible fenced, including the inside. You don't have to worry about them going into your room. All in all, this place is great. I would highly recommend Lake View Inn. It's the perfect lake regions B & B.

However, while the house's decor is very warm, unfortunately the management is not. My wife and I have traveled New England, trying assorted bed and breakfasts and inns. The customer service and hospitality at this venue is by far some of the worst. My wife and I were here for a wedding when a 75-80" black wooden "antique" bifold door fell on my wife who was 9 months pregnant. The door had been placed in front of inward/outward swinging door to the kitchen, which was knocked over and struck my wife in the head. While accidents happen and I understand that, I was annoyed so I had asked to speak with the owner. I was met with an individual who appeared unwelcoming and unapologetic, that introduced himself as the owner Peter. I questioned Peter about the door and why it would be placed in front of another moving door so close to the patrons or why it wouldn't at least be anchored. He stated the door is meant to be moved and it wasn't his problem. He explained that the decor is his, but he's not accountable for where the vendors place it. Throughout my interaction with Peter, never once did he apologize or ask how my wife was. Meanwhile the vendors apologized and attempted to make efforts to reconcile the situation. The next morning, due to the unsatisfactory of the owners response, I asked if there was any way we could be comped. He said absolutely not, it's not his problem and that we had resolved it last night. Again, never asked how my wife was doing. Based off of the interaction with owner, and his response to the incident, his actions turned me off to the venue and I'd never go back.

I've just returned from a one night stay at this quaint B&B centrally located in Wolfeboro. Cindy,…read morethe proprietor, is very attentive and accommodating. Each room is nicely adorned and we selected the Governor's Room which had ample space and extremely comfortable. The queen size bed provided an excellent night's sleep and there was no shortage of towels available. Personally I didn't care for the bathroom toiletries but being finicky I travel with my own. There is a very nice continental breakfast provided in the dining area where you have an opportunity to interact with Cindy and the other guests. What was most surprising and very much appreciated was the fact that we didn't have anything to do until the afternoon and Cindy was kind enough to say we could stay as long as we liked. She provided this courtesy to another guest who was in a similar situation. This was a very pleasant experience and there is no doubt this won't be the last time we visit Topsiders. Thanks Cindy!

Keeping with the antique theme, the dining room hosts great conversation among guests with fresh fruits, tasty pastries, coffee, juice etc. The owner/manager, Cindy, is very pleasant and accommodating and I highly recommend a visit if you ever find yourself in the area.

We understand that everyone in the country is short staffed right now and the Wolfeboro Inn is no exception. Our room cost $439 plus tax per night. We were fine with making our own bed and taking care of our room. But we were not fine with polyester sheets, and no mattress pad on the bed and limited towels. I went downstairs and begged for cotton sheets, knowing that there had to be some in the hotel since I had stayed there so many other times and never encountered a slimy polyester sheet before. They were able to find me one sheet. Still no mattress pad. I don't even think that's legal as far as health department goes! The restaurant was also understaffed with one person serving and one person cooking. We had a reservation for dinner for 10 people, but no table is set. I will say that the wait person bent over backwards to help us. We also helped her by clearing the table! We will of course stay at this hotel again because it is lovely but we will be bringing our own sheets and towels.

They took my Amex card over the phone for the reservation, so I called by phone to cancel it. Further, the groom's family hosted a cocktail party there Friday night before the wedding. They were out of napkins and cutlery all the time. They seemed short staffed. And were SO inattentive that they had turned around a computer calculating the cost of each wine and/or beer so all the guests could see what the groom's family was paying! So inappropriate.
