Guests…read morehere enjoy private beach access to Crescent Lake, a peaceful escape from the crowds at Lake Winnipesaukee. The beach is small, but there were never more than a handful of people on it at any given time, even though we came on a busy holiday weekend. We brought our standup paddle board to explore the lake, but there are also kayaks available for rental. Our room was perfect for a family stay. The kitchenette had a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot and toaster, and cupboards ready with silverware, dishes--even wine glasses. The room was clean and the decor was modern and minimalist. When our tv didn't work, my husband let the office know, and the owner himself came up immediately to fix it. He was also in the office folding towels when I stopped by for complimentary coffee in the morning. It's apparent the owner has worked hard to make this inn a special place.

The king bed was so comfortable and the decorations in the bathroom and halls were so pretty. It was also convenient to walk around and shop from this location as well. We went to Nolan's to eat dinner and Morrisseys right next door for ice cream! Highly recommend you check this place out. I stayed here with my boyfriend and Dave and Karen, owners were so kind! Will definitely come back for the summer.

In July, I was offered other housing, so I…read morecalled and cancelled my stay and now they claim that I didn't call~ and charged me a $291.87 cancellation fee! They took my Amex card over the phone for the reservation, so I called by phone to cancel it. Further, the groom's family hosted a cocktail party there Friday night before the wedding. They were out of napkins and cutlery all the time. They seemed short staffed. And were SO inattentive that they had turned around a computer calculating the cost of each wine and/or beer so all the guests could see what the groom's family was paying! So inappropriate. They charged my Amex 9/6 and I called them 9/12. They said that it's too late to reimburse, very difficult for them administratively. Really? This is the cancellation policy they sent me: CANCELLATION POLICIES: Your Inn room reservation has a 72-hour cancellation policy. Reservations that are not canceled within 72-hours of the date are subject to a charge of one night's confirmed room rate, plus tax. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. They are keeping up with technology, as they have satellite TV and great wifi. They even have a public computer with a printer. The kitchen was small but very efficient and fairly new. The work-out room is nice, and the pool is warm and clean. They keep the grounds well groomed and are really paying attention to guest comfort. Being an older resort, the floors creak some and so do the stairs, which I think adds to the experience of staying in a colonial building. It is definitely on the list of places to stay when touring New England again. Edit: I wrote this review while in Wolfeboro, so Yelp thinks I'm from there, but I'm not. St. Clairsville, OH is more accurate.
