My daughter came in for her yearly visit and they were going to do a blood draw. That shouldn't even take five minutes. They ended up having to leave and reschedule for today because of the unbelievable disorganization. My wife just let me know that they got there ahead of their appointment time and two other families who arrived after them were being seen before them. The incompetence and lack of real customer service is very glaring. We will be looking for a new clinic after this mess. Save the time and frustration and go elsewhere read more

They made a mistake and tried to give me the wrong child's test results. When I stopped them and told them they had the wrong child, they became irrate with me. I have been going to this practice for years and this is the second time this has happened, right down to the shocking, angry reaction from them. I used to like this practice, but it has gone so far downhill. I no longer trust them. I realize now that due to the fact that a test result that I was given several months ago completely made no sense for my child, this has likely happened on multiple occasions. I no longer trust them for my child's care. I do not recommend this practice. Medical mistake like this can have catastrophic consequences. read more

I'm not sure I can even convey how much we love Dr. Pape. I have no doubt all of the providers are amazing, but we have only seen Dr. Pape and we LOVE her. We moved to the area about 6 months ago and this practice came highly recommended. We came in September 2020 for my girls' physicals. Dr. Pape was so engaged with the girls that my girls were literally upset to leave. I also had to come in yesterday (February 2021) because we started noticing my 3 year old's right foot points in a bit when she walks. When we came to see Dr. Pape she was SO incredibly thorough, checking every little thing and my little one had so much fun playing the "games" (jump on one foot, balance on one foot, etc.). I never once felt rushed, she sat down and explained everything to me and even went out of her way to answer a few unrelated questions to the appointment. I also feel very safe here with the covid precautions they are taking. They have different areas for sick and healthy and also these days no one can be in the lobby. When you arrive you call them from your car and when they are ready for you the nurse will come get you and bring you straight to an exam room. Everyone is wearing masks (properly) and being careful, and I also know (because I follow them on Facebook) that they have been vaccinated! We love 18 & Under and Dr. Pape and are so happy that we have found our pediatricians! read more

In 2016, Dr. Pape diagnosed my four-year-old son with gender dysphoria and cooperated with my ex-wife to transition him to a girl. The medical records show they intended to chemically castrate my son at the age of eight or nine. Dr. Pape did all of this knowing that my son did not present as a girl at my home but only at the mother's home. My son was not consistent, not persistent, and not consistent - as required by the American Academy of Pediatrics standards. It seemed to be a purely ideological diagnosis. Dr. Pape dismissed my concerns by appealing to her clinical experience. When I asked her how much clinical experience she had with transgender kids, she replied, "None." What you should know: I'm reviewing this as an underinsured (self employed), full-time working mom of two. We have been coming here for years, our Pediatrician is Dr. Naylor, but we have literally never seen her in the clinic, we only see Paul Boerger, MSN, RN, CPNP and we LOVE him. In 2015, my then 9 year old was hospitalized for pneumonia. We saw Paul before, he gave us great advice and helped us navigate what we could do since we were self-pay. We then ended up at Acute Kids Urgent Care and then at the hospital. Dr. Naylor visited us during that time and confused my 9 year old a little because he'd never seen her, she didn't seem to really know us, but was compassionate and cordial enough. We saw Dr. Naylor once afterward to discuss results of a serious test, but Paul handled most of the follow ups after the 10 day hospital stay and was amazing and made an otherwise scary event manageable! We keep going back there for Paul. Plain and simple. He's the only reason we haven't made more of an effort to find a Family Practicioner. As long as Paul is here we will come here til the youngest is 18! 5 stars for the facility (love that they have two waiting rooms, one for well visits, one for sick visits), for their ingenuity in handling our cases, accommodating self-pay patients, the nurses and front desk staff, and most of all, PAUL. read more

We love Dr. Walters! Dr. Walters treated our young daughter with such kindness and care and welcomed us to her office as first time patients with such warmth! Note her stellar training (UT and she's a mother as well so she gets my worry) and she has terrific credentials -- training at UT Southwestern and Childrens. We were impressed with her calm and nurturing bedside manner and her clear treatment options and suggestions in referral to an in network specialist for orthopedic care. Dr Walters did not make us wait and answered all of our questions. She took time to get to know our new family and understand our health history. She confirmed and explained diagnosis. Everything was also explained clearly to our young daughter -- this did not go unnoticed -- she took her questions seriously and spoke to her so helpfully. The process from calling to schedule (Mr Carson was wonderful on the phone) and verify they were in network with our insurance to completing online paperwork and getting checked in and paying copay and getting receipt plus a school note was smooth sailing. Office is run like a well oiled machine! We were in and out in 40 minutes with laughs on the way and a prize and lollipop! Cheers to the fun loving front desk crew with cute Halloween decor and the kind nurse we had as well! What an impressive and efficient pediatrics office to find right by the FM library and Lifetime Fitness in Flower Mound. I'm very grateful my friend referred us to 18 and Under Pediatrics (she's been going here for years) and that we have this quality group of doctors now that we live here! read more

My wife and I sure do love this place! Dr. Naylor is the best!!! If your kiddos are sick they can allways get you in. If you have questions they allways call you back. When you kids are sick Dr. Naylor knows the plan to get them better. No weeell we could try this or this or this blah blah blah!!! She is very matter a fact this is what is wrong this will make them better. My wife was not so sure about this kind of doctor but the first time our child got sick she was very much relieved by this type of practitioner. I wish I could find a doc For me like this. Now she is only this way with mom and dad. She is a dream with children. She talks to them on there level really finds a way to communicate with them. My 3 year old does not stop talking abot Dr. Naylor for days. They can even give him a shot and if you ask if we wants to go back he says yea lets go!! Naylor even came to the hospital for our second child to make sure she was doing ok. Presbyterian flower mound was so new they did not have privileges yet with our 1st. some doctor that did not even speak English came in looked at our infant signed some papers and left. Then a nurse said ok yall are good to go home now. I am so glad Naylor was there for us and our baby girl! I love 18 and under because they take great care of my children. To the staff at 18 & Under MD, In today's fast paced world finding a doctor who cares is incredibly hard. Often you can feel like a cash cow, in one door and out the other, but as long as you get a remedy to your ailment you're okay with it. Finding a doctor who cares about your children seems even more daunting because of the level of expectation that a parent puts into the situation of letting go and trusting someone with their kids, it's a tough feeling... The medical process is the same everywhere, or at least should be. Whenever you go to any doctor, of any kind, for any condition, they follow the three part sequence of examination, diagnosis and prescription. 18 & Under MD follows this basic process then takes child care to a higher level of care. It's hard to put in words how you do it, but please never stop. It's not just "first, do no harm", it's put thought and caring into every step and make sure the patient and the parents understand, are comfortable, and can handle what is happening, even if it means spending extra time with them as you have with me so many times. We all know taking kids to the doctor interrupts our day, takes us away from work and other priorities we feel tugging at us. You squeeze us in when it seems impossible. You console with us when things seem too big for us to handle and when in a pinch you find a way to make it happen. You work your magic and I am able to get back to my daily routine knowing everything has been addressed. In the end there is comfort knowing it will be taken care of once I walk out the door and the process of recovery is under way. When our kids do get sick there is never a doubt in my mind what to do or who to turn to. We are proud of your staff and every extra step you take. With three grandchildren ages 3 months to 5 years, choosing a Pediatrician was a very serious matter. Fortunately, a friend recommended 18 & Under MD and Dr. Debra Naylor. The entire approach to taking great care of our babies gave our new parents a sense of security and piece of mind. The well-baby exams are not only performed for the health of the baby, but the doctors took the time to reassure and educate the young parents who were full of questions, but so new to the entire experience. A well baby exam typically lasts a full hour of undivided attention from the Doctor, and not finished until the parents are comfortable with the exam, and aware of any concerns that are warranted. Three Doctors and one certified nurse practitioner make up the providers, and our three have seen them all at one time or another, and we have grown to be very comfortable with any of them. All four providers are parents themselves, as are most of the nurses, giving them a greater degree of empathy and patience. It can get very busy in the midst of flu season, and at times it gets hectic with fussy babies and strained nerves for a mother trying to maintain her wits with two of three sick and irritable infants. It is not easy, but it comes with the territory when you have a successful practice. We have learned some basic tips: avoid Mondays and Fridays if you can, as it is by far the busiest days. It is also a great idea if you can either be the first patients of the day, or the first patients after lunch. You will get in and out with minimum delay. This is especially helpful if you must bring siblings along for the appointment. Finally, consider that there is a reason Dr. Naylor, as well as her entire practice have won multiple "BEST OF DENTON COUNTY" awards. read more

I'm not even sure where to begin with this review! As a teenager I was a patient of Debra Naylor and eventually when I had children they became patients of hers as well. Throughout the years we have always had a terrific experience with her and the office! - They're usually right on time, I've never had to wait in the waiting room very long. There's also plenty of toys and fish tanks to keep the kiddos entertained. I also love that they have a sick room and a well room! - The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. They always remember my children and go above and beyond to assist me with whatever I need. - The nurses are amazing! They're great with children and they're always fast and speedy with unpleasant procedures. Anytime my children have had to get blood drawn, a flu swab, shots or catheters they've always been gentle and speedy, causing minimal pain while getting the job done as quick as possible. They're just absolutely great with children! - Debra Naylor is the primary physician for my children and they love her! She has a way with kids and finds a way to make their check ups fun for them. Throughout the years my children have seen every physician/PA/NP at least once when sick and Dr.Naylor has not been available and it's always been a positive experience. They listen to what I have to say and always take my concerns seriously. They're also incredibly thorough and leave no stone unturned when trying to figure out what's wrong with the kiddos. - Anytime I've called their office to leave a question for a nurse and/or doctor they've always gotten back to me quickly. I can be a bit of helicopter mom and admit that I've called them with some pretty silly questions but they always take me seriously and get back to me as soon as they can. - Anytime one of my kids has fallen ill they always work with me to get them seen immediately even if they close in ten minutes. 18 and Under is just an overall wonderful practice! They've taken care of my babies since they were born and I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon. read more

I'm really not impressed. My impressions are they've made thus an extremely lucrative practice by keeping their patient roster packed. This is evidenced by the fact that appointments are not easily obtainable, you may not see "your doctor" ever unless you firmly request, long wait time before appointments and the physicians don't spend much time with you when they finally arrive in the room. I also like to be taken seriously when I explain chief complaints & symptoms. I voiced concern that my son might need soy milk and was instead given a different brand of milk formula & a probiotic and told to give it two weeks. Well when your son is vomiting, screaming, constipated, bloated stomach and writhing in pain for most of the day being told to wait two weeks seems utterly ridiculous. I thought voicing those symptoms my sons issues would be taken seriously. I have seen diagnoses missed this way when a doctor is so busy that they are on cruise control and not tuned in to patients, just trying to see as many as possible for the day. My last appointment to their office was my third visit and I finally actually got to see "my doctor" on this visit. I've decided to find another pediatrician. read more
