I lived here from 2024 to 2026 in a 2 bed 2 bath and had a great experience from Adam and D'angelo who are part of the management team. Maintenance requests were usually resolved within a day. The building amenities were great and the location was unbeatable. Being steps away from the Oscars and Parades throughout the year gives you a great base to explore Hollywood. Gated parking was clutch. read more

The amenities are nice and easily accessible, and I've been content with my stay for the most part. I've been living here for a little over a year now, and throughout the hardships and mishaps I've experienced with things such as, but not limited to, the difficulty with moving units (expect a headache using findigs.com), the security concerns (something has been stolen from the "secure" 4th level parking garage), mailroom inconveniences (on the behalf of the couriers), and maintenance issues (mainly the elevators), the staff has been great with assisting and handling everything. Namely, Ariya and D'Angelo have been more than helpful with taking care of the tenants. It's easy to tell when someone cares about their job, as well as identifying the integrity they bring to the property. Whenever the couriers are lazy and fail to properly utilize the parcel lockers, I've been able to consistently rely on Ariya and D'Angelo to make things right. They go above and beyond the scope of their job, and are very easy to communicate with. This is the kind of warm reception that one would want to interact with. I'm not sure of everyone on staff's name, but I can appreciate the general cleanliness of the high traffic areas of the building, along with the speedy responses to maintenance requests, amongst other things. One thing that I cannot stand is the fact that some of my neighbors choose to ignore the leasing agreement by smoking (especially cigarettes) in undesignated areas, causing me to not enjoy keeping my windows open, for concern of second hand smoke inhalation and cigarette stench permeating my unit. I've also experienced a few noisy neighbors who choose to ignore the 10pm noise curfew. The units cost too much to deal with inconsiderate neighbors! These complaints, as well as the loudness of Hollywood Blvd. are the main causes for my three star rating--all of which I fully acknowledge aren't the responsibility of the building staff. My wife and I have been tenants of Adam for 5 years, since we were living in Long Beach. It has always been a pleasure to live on the properties he manages, because we know he genuinely cares about his tenants' well-being and takes pride in ensuring everybody has the best living experience. Every time we need something from the front office, it is taken care of swiftly, and the same can be said about any maintenance request. It also helps to have such a fantastic group of coworkers like D'Angelo, the supers Juan and Manuel, and the cleaning ladies Maribel and Socorro. They all make living in the heart of Hollywood extremely pleasant. If you're considering moving in, it is definitely worth it. Would not recommend this place to live. Unsafe, worn down, and communication with management and office staff sucks. If you want a secure and functioning place to live, go elsewhere. My car was stolen from the locked parking garage (you need a FOB to gain access to the lower levels). No security rounds happened during the time of theft. The outside gates that give tenants access to the building don't shut all the time, allowing the homeless to gain entry into the building. Very unsafe. For my entire stay, the elevators barely worked (I lived on the 7th floor). For a month+, only one elevator worked for the entire building. Again, do not be fooled by the amenities (pool, gym). read more

One of the things I appreciate a lot is how friendly the front office / leasing staff is when I come home or come down for mail and packages, we always get friendly greetings and smiles. So obviously moving is an extremely stressful. This is not an active tenant review but an honest assessment of the process and leasing. We viewed unit 600 which was listed with a concession. My fair assessment is that they wanted more money for the unit so they denied us to void the concession. I will be posting this review on every single platform. We have above 750 credit score Make well over the rent Paid our rent ON TIME EVERY SINGLE MONTH We moved out of a previous apartment complex 3 years ago due to there being a shooting on our floor. We had 0 idea that we owed 150 dollars for a "move out " fee (mind you Greyster is in litigation right now for doing this to tenants). They took our application fee, dinged our credit, asked for 2 months of our bank statements and etc for them to deny us. We have never ever been denied to move into a community. The leasing office had a very "I don't care" attitude. I asked CJ, whose personality completely switched up, if we could speak to the office manager to gain clarity. She said he just left, so I asked "Can you let him know we are here" she basically told us no and if we wanted to have a seat and just wait. He finally came in but was equally as rude treating us like we are not functional members of society. I thought to myself, do I really want to move here with these people solving my problems if I encounter any? We asked how can we avoid this in the future as it is a shock to us being denied. The manager said "I'm not here to tell you that". I work at the hospital and could not imagine telling someone that isn't my patient that I can't help them because they aren't my patient. For 4 years, I called 1724 Highland my home. I moved in during COVID when the neighborhood was quiet, but as the COVID-thaw set in, I realized the mistake I had made. Every year, I tried to tolerate the many issues that plague this property. First, this property claims to be smoke-free (cigarette, marijuana and vape). Whatever your feelings on the subject, realize that the fire alarms are very sensitive, which means you will be woken up endlessly in the middle of the night because someone decided to disregard the smoke-free policy and light up on the balcony. And the alarms will sound for however long it takes the fire department to report to the property. Management does nothing about it (they will give you an ear full but nothing will materialize). If you work from home as I do, this will disrupt your business because it happens during the day too. Also, Mgmt has "annual" fire alarm check (seems to be every other month), which allows them to inspect your unit whenever they want - whether you're present or not (very suspicious). Second, the elevators are nearly always out of service (the higher up your unit, the more I hope you like stairs). Third, is the area itself: homeless camps line the streets, crime is unbelievable, tourists treat the neighborhood like a port-o-potty (including the 1724 Highland garage that smells like urine--they allow the public to park on the first few levels), and performers blast music on Hollywood Blvd for change at all hours of the night (including religious zealous that blast their message on a microphone...and sing too!). Hollywood has its challenges, but do yourself a favor if you need to live in Hollywood as I did: stay as far north of Hollywood Blvd as you can (and as far away from Highland as you can). The traffic congestion from the Hollywood Bowl, the many movie premieres that shut down the streets, and the annual Christmas Parade will make getting in and out of your home exceptionally difficult and time consuming. Took me 45 minutes once to travel a half mile. Good luck! read more

What you get for the money is pretty reasonable, when considering everything else that's comparable in the area. The leasing staff here is extremely friendly, professional, and they're willing to take the time to ensure you locate the right apartment. I highly recommend Kerri the building manager and Ly'Derian in leasing if you're seeking to rent an apartment at this community. I am satisfied with my new apartment home. Special thanks to the Property Manager Adam who handled my application process. I was treated with more respect and attention during the application procress than many of my previous landlords. Any issue that have come up so far was handled with promptly. The building seems cool to me so far. The noise level is acceptable. It is not as quiet as a church but no loud parties either. The group is largely made up of professionals and some students. It is in the middle of the walk of fame in Hollywood so it is a very busy area which like many other areas has its positives and negatives. I like the convenience of this location and it easy very easy to get around by car, bus and the metro train is across the street. Overall I feel safe and at home here. read more

Absolute clowns. Applied for immediate move in on AUG 3. Was told there would be a 24-48 hr turnaround process. It took 20 days for these fools to approve our application. We called every single day asking what we needed to do/ what documents they needed. And every day it was "we have everything, we just need one more thing" while asking us to resend everything because they cant keep track of shit. The whole team is so unprofessional, their "manager" is remote and never in the office (michelle if you see this, you suck) AND THEN, after day 20 we asked to be accommodated for our wasted time and extreme disrespect--they had the audacity to blame it on us for being slow. How is this a business? How do you have a team of people working M-F 9:00-6:00 not doing anything??? I have more than enough evidence and will be reporting you. read more

Keeping it real on this review. I moved in at the start of the pandemic and I have to say, the place is great all things considered. It is in the center of all of the Hollywood "glamour" so you have to expect homeless and stuff in the area. My apartment is nice and I like that I have a washer and dryer. You really cannot beat the location. The gym is closed but that seems standard with COVID. I met the new manager and she seems really upbeat which I like. The assistant manager and leasing guys are dope. Overall no big complaints, just ready for the gym to open! Bad reviewers- Seems like there was probably a personal reason for your review because the building is cool, team here does their job pretty well, and some of my neighbors come off as stuck up. Can't make everyone happy and can't fault the building or management all the time. read more

1724 Highland is a very lovely building! Reviews seem very polarized, but feel sometimes people focus on perhaps one 'bad' thing and knock off the rest of the positive things. Highlights: Beautiful Pool and Gym - all very modern and upper scale. The landscape as well is very well maintained. Also, in-unit washer and dryer is such a plus. The whole property is a plus! It does feel like a little private oasis especially considering it is on the busiest intersection in Hollywood, possibly LA. You surprisingly very very lightly even hear or feel that right outside the building could be all that. Apartment unit itself is beautiful, one of the most beautiful I have seen for its price. For me, my neighbors are all pretty quite, I don't ever hear any commotion, sometimes perhaps on Saturday but nothing thats over the top...i mean you live in Hollywood for reason, so it's nice to feel and see the young energy around :) Mature people living in the building though so nice balance. Even though the location and prices are pretty decent, the attitude is not worth it. From the very begging I was told that all I need was bank statement, after I submitted my application they gave me no choice but to upload my employment verification along with all my roommates, 2 days before application ends. While I was calling them 20 times last day to tell them that I sent all documents they asked me to provide, I got no response. The next day I came there to clarify all that. Despite unwilling their representatives to help, I lost my deposit and they already gave the unit to somebody else. read more

The building Is very dangerous, you can access the inside of the building thru the stairwells, alarms constantly going off (1am-6am at times) because the homeless people make it in and set off the alarms by smoking drugs / setting off the alarms manually, people smoke cigarettes/drugs/cigars inside the elevator, dog and piss and dog feces all over as tenants walk their dogs in the hallways instead of the designated place, cars are constantly being broken into inside the secured parking structure, they offer temporary leasing so people have no respect to keep the noise down, people are constantly accessing the pool area and swimming after they come home from the bars, floors 3/4 are super run down, they offer low income apartments, hallways are constantly smelling like drugs as lots of tenants are drug users, parking structure is unsafe due too lack of surveillance and the p4 structure has no surveillance at all, trash cans are constantly being fills by lazy neighbors who throw their trash there instead of the trash shoot, lots of people are getting constantly robbed right outside, lots of over doses and drug users who hang out in the alley next to the building, and all around, you can hear everything right thru the paper thin walls. Bedroom are very small so stay away if you are claustrophobic. You can hear all the fuzz from the boulevard especially at night. You can also hear dogs constantly fighting from unleashed dogs being walked inside the building at all hours 24/7. Management sweeps everything under the rug. I broke my lease and moved out after 6 months and it was an arm and a leg. They made sure to keep my whole deposit with bullshit charges. Good luck apartment searching. And don't get sucked into this building because it looks appealing. Get your moneys worth. read more

I have been living here for about two months and I have to say the current management is on top of a lot of the other issues mentioned in previous negative reviews. We have gotten frequent emails and updates surrounding issues and I appreciate the fast responses. Most of the issues I find to be not noticeable or rare save for the fire alarm issue which is probably the one thing stopping me from giving a five star review but will update if fixed! Also a huge plus is how quickly maintenance responds to requests. We have never had to wait for more than 24 hours after submitting a request. I would give 0 star if it allowed to this property, the managenment is the worst I have ever seen, I lived there for over a year and no one Ever reply to my email for simple questions, The fire alarm goes off every few weeks in the middle of the night so they will send people to do home inspectation after. Residents smoke weeds from balcony/elevator/garage every day and night, all they can do is just send group email to residents. The office people treat you like their family at first meet but once you sign the lease, they treat you like you own them money with poker face. They took over half of my deposit with no explanation after I moved out, even though I left the whole apartment clean and no damage. read more

I just moved in with the help of some of the most beautiful, intelligent people. This place deserves more stars, the leasing team is new. Also, the building is lovely. I must say, walking in here felt like I found an oasis in what seemed like such a desolate area to live in. Hollywood has good parts and bad parts, and I had finally found the good part. Olga was the first person from the leasing office I met when I walked in asking for a tour. She was so kind, and she helped me thoroughly throughout my entire leasing process. On our tour, she offered me refreshments and snacks. I felt so welcomed and honestly, safe here. People here actually care or at least try to. Brian's a cutie, super efficient and has an excellent memory. I also met Catherine, and Carina, they are all so bright, friendly, and informative. Even the parking/security officer at the gate is such a sweetheart. I cannot recommend this place enough. Best leasing team ever. 1724 Highland fit all the requirements I was asking for that I couldn't find in other apartments in the same area for similar prices. W/D in unit, stainless steel appliances, nice bathtubs, modern design, neutral grey hardwood floors, island in the kitchen, spacious living room, pool, beautiful communal lounge, etc. See for yourself. They also have quite an advanced package storage system that I think is awesome called ParcelPending. And I love their parking garage. This place is also supremely well kept. Even the trash cans in the P3 parking garage are always empty. great job guys. I look forward to going to school and living here for a good year or more. Ps. If I could give zero stars, I would. This is not a luxury apartment building, it is a crappy hotel passing as a luxury apartment building. There are so many Air BnB rentals here that it might as well be called Hollywood Inn. I couldn't begin to list all the things wrong. Trash rooms are dirty, smelly and full of bugs, there is constant noise all night long in the pool area (supposed to close at 10pm), car break ins, fire alarms in the middle of the night, dirty hallways, lax security, etc... 1724 Highland is an awesome building! The recent renovations give it a modern look, yet still has Hollywood character! The old Hollywood fashion photography in the hallways really bring this building to life! I'm excited to find out what the new retail spaces will be! The building is well maintained, with cleaners tending to the common areas daily. Gym is 24 hours and never crowded, with clean small towels provided for your workout! Parking is gated and underground, with entrance off McCadden, so you avoid the Highland congestion. The leasing and maintenance staff is also wonderful! All my service requests are addressed in an timely manner. With over 200 units, you can't expect your every need to be resolved with a snap of your finger, but it has never taken long. I have nothing bad to say about this building! Living in the epicenter of Hollywood is so convenient and 1724 makes it that much easier! read more

I don't understand why everyone is writing such poor reviews for this place. The people that are complaining about homeless around; you do realize you live in on one of the busiest tourist intersections in Los Angeles right? Of course they are gonna be there, they are everywhere up and down hollywood Blvd. I understand that there have been break ins here and there. From being a member of the Facebook group of the residents that live here, most of the break ins were from negligence and leaving the window down or the doors unlocked. Try that anywhere in Hollywood or any major metropolis and let me know your results. Now to the building. If you've ever lived in an apartment complex before, of course you will have some loud neighbors. Surprisingly, the walls here were very thick and extremely quiet. I never heard my neighbors at all. My only complaint would be to put a double pane window on my patio door as I was facing highland ave and the honking and traffic could be a little annoying. That being said, I rarely heard anything in my bedroom, only when in my living room and with the tv off. I loved my apartment. Had really nice appliances. French door fridge, washer/dryer, hard wood floors, recess dimmable lighting, good water pressure, and my favorite, the smart a/c thermostat. The layout was really spacious as i had a living room of over 20' long. To the airBnB's. EVERY major apartment building has them, illegal or not. This is Los Angeles. When you visit other major cities do you not use airBnB? Hypocrites. Everyone I dealt with in the office was extremely helpful and nice. Lee and Jason would always go out of their way to help me with anything I needed. I'm paralyzed, so wether it be to help bring up boxes that I can't carry, or get my mail I can't reach, they were always there. The maintenance team was on top of every issue I ever encountered that same day. Replacing my batteries in my fire alarm cause I couldn't reach, replacing the garbage disposal, and replacing light bulbs. Always handled in an extremely quick manner. You would constantly see the maintenance team mopping the floors and emptying out the trash cans and doing their part to keep the facility clean. Catherine the manager has always been extremely nice to me and answered any question I may have rather quickly. Wether it be in person or in email she always responds in a very quickly. People complained about break ins, and next week I saw 3 new security guards, as well as added personnel in the office. They now have someone downstairs 24/7 instead of just business hours. The reason I moved out of here, and the sole reason is the competitive pricing. I may have moved in at the wrong time, as i had the first remodeled unit and already started at a high price.This may beyond the managers control, but I would definitely move back if the pricing was similar to other apartment buildings in the area. read more

Lyderian is hands down one of the reasons I chose this apartment to live at! He is beyond inviting, hilarious, patient, respectable and really knows how to make you feel at home.
