So many games to choose from! Our group also loved the light wall and the slide! They have plenty of outdoor space and a couple outdoor activities. Servers were helpful in helping us choose a group shot and cocktails!

Cool. I went sliding.

I heard a little about this establishment. I went inside to explore. I saw a few games like Centipede, Donkey Kong, etc. that I am familiar with playing. Upstairs are more arcade machines, ring toss games on the wall, 3 skee ball machines and entry to the metal slide. I was watching 2 out-of-state ladies play skee ball when one told me it was free to play. I was in unbelief. So I played about 4 rounds to get that 100 points hole when did not register my points. My high score for the night was 200. The ladies and I decided to have more fun by going down the slide. The first turn was a little difficult. They have a TV playing a movie surrounded with VHS tapes. I hope to go again if I am in the area but this time before having leftover takeout.

12/5 stars. Everything about it was amazing. The variety of games was awesome. We loved that there were arcade, pinball, and more games. The space is fantastic. There was so much to do. We were smiling the whole and had a blast. The beers on tap were insane, the cocktails were delicious. The bartenders were wonderful! Attentive and efficient even when it got a bit slammed. There's a great patio too! Extra star for being dog friendly. Caution: Slide fun is fun as hell.

If you are looking for somewhere with chill vibes, arcade games, and drinks than look no further because you will get that here at 16-bit. I have been here a few times and each time it has been very enjoyable. The service is great and the drinks. They have little snack foods like noodles and etc. This is not a place to come to if you are hungry. Also they have a slide inside that you can go down if you are feeling your inner childhood coming out of you.

Fun. Fun. Fun. - Pinball games, arcade games, giant Jenga/Connect Four/Lite Brite, skee-ball, specialty cocktails and beer. 80s music videos playing. A guaranteed fun time! Pinball games are $1, arcade games are no charge. Lots of high top tables, several comfy leather couch areas. Just great throw-back fun! (Be sure to bring your ID as everyone gets carded at the door regardless of apparent age.)

I am a huge fan of barcades and had to stop by when I was in town over the weekend for the Indy 500. This spot is located in downtown Indy and is central to other bars and restaurants. My friend and I checked it out in the late afternoon on Saturday, and it was pretty busy. I tried the Atomic Blonde drink while my friend sampled a gin-based cocktail before we switched to shots (bad idea I know). Cocktails were very refreshing and reasonably priced. Service was great, and the bartenders were really friendly. I loved that the bar had games like cornhole and giant jenga in addition to the old school arcade games for those of us who don't have cash and quarters or just prefer to be outside. There's also a giant slide and video game consoles with tons of indoor and outdoor seating. This place would be an awesome stop along anyone's custom bar crawl route or could be fun for a date night. I don't know that I'll ever be back in Indianapolis, but if I happened to be, I'd check this place out again. Would recommend if you're in the city and looking for something fun to do!

I normally love going here because it's fun for adults and good vibes but I was really turned off by the service on a Saturday night. They were really busy which is usual for the weekend especially when the weather is so nice. My husband and I were at the bar waiting to be tended too and one of the bartenders was moving fast and clumsily that she hit a glass full of beer at the bar and it spilled all over me. This is the first time that ever happened to me. I was shocked and angry at the same time. The bartender barely had any empathy, she got really defensive and kept saying she didn't do it on purpose. She really didn't take accountability or anything she was very rude and passive aggressive when talking to me. I didn't catch her name, but I remember what she looks like. I understand mistakes and accidents happen but still, customer service is key. A different bartender was making the drinks we ordered, and no one offered any type of compensation anything. I wanted to ask but I also didn't feel like or have the energy to battle with non customer serving attitudes.

16-bit is fun bar and arcade. The drinks are creative and taste good. They have tvs, fire pits, and even a slide. The service was great and I've been there in the past when it's busy and they are always doing their best to keep up. It's often a college crowd but it's not too bad for us over 30s.

What a trip down memory lane. Lots of the games you'd remember from the early arcade games like Asteroids to home console games to pinball.

Would this be fun for a small group where nobody drinks?

Absolutely. We offer a number of non-alcoholic drink options including mocktails and soft drinks for you to enjoy while playing the games throughout our space.

Do they allow dogs here?

Yes, you can. They have a goody bag for a dog!

Can you bring outside food here?

You sure can! Outside beverages are not permitted, but food is fair game!

Does playing ski ball cost any $$?

Nope! As long as you have a drink (including mocktail) in your hand, all of our games are free with the exception of pinball which is 50 cents per game.

Is this 21 over only?

My younger child (lower elementary age) was bored after about 45 minutes, but your mileage may vary. Boss Battle Games has a lot of cabinet-style arcade games, like Centipede, Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat and others. All of your Gen-X and Millennial video game dreams will be fulfilled here. They also have some pinball machines -- some you can play for an extra fee, and some seemed like they could be played with the price of admission. There are also some interactive games, like Dance Dance Revolution. Speaking of admission: You pay $15 for a wristband that grants you access to almost all of the video games, and you can come and go all day. If you're really into playing video games, this is a great deal. They don't sell any food or beverages here, so if you want something to eat or drink, you'll need to leave and come back. But since Boss Battle Games is located inside Castleton Mall, there are lots of places to find something to eat around the area.

Within…read more30 minutes, I was at the register purchasing a $157 monthly pass (4 months) for the toddler area. I was impressed enough that I texted three friends photos, told my wife to start planning our son's birthday party here, and was actively asking managers about upgrading to full access because I had just discovered the larger "Adrenaline" area. For context: it's Indiana winter, it was cold, and I had a hooded sweatshirt on with the hood up because I was freezing. During my 2 1/2-hour stay, I spoke with two managers about memberships--neither said a word about my hood. While walking around trying to keep up my child, I heard someone off to the side say, "Take your hood off." I approached the man, who asked me politely. I politely asked why it was a rule. His response was shocking: "So I can see your entire face on my 50 cameras." This was 11:30 a.m. on a Friday, not a packed weekend night. I turned away to continue looking for my child, removed the hood, and muttered "whatever dude" under my breath. That's when the situation escalated wildly. He charged toward me, yelling: "I'm the owner--if you don't like it, leave!" I had already complied. That wasn't enough. He then shouted: "I'll give you your money back!" And finally said something that truly crossed a line: "If there are off-colored people with hoods up and we ask them to take it down, what would that look like?" I'm still trying to understand why race was brought into this at all. Let me be clear: * The facility is great for kids * The staff and managers were wonderful * We were not leaving anytime soon until this happened But the owner's behavior was aggressive, unnecessary, and completely inappropriate. A simple rule explanation would've sufficed. Instead, it turned into a power trip with racial commentary that had no place in the conversation. Rules are rules--but how you enforce them matters. I'll take the refund. And I'll take my business elsewhere.

They do have age and weight limits that they strictly adhere to and I know the ceiling is 250 pounds, because I was knocking on the door of it and had to jump on the scale. You have to be at least three to join in on the fun, so I left the youngest little at home. This place is huge, approximately 72,000 square feet, and there are not many indoor kids play places on the south side of Indy, so this is a welcomed addition. They have zip lines, rock climbing walls, trampoline dodgeball, trampoline basketball, trampolines, a battle pit with foam blocks, trampoline air bag, laser tag, and a ropes course. There are also concession stands and video games. I must admit, that looks like a place that teleworking parents bring their kids while they work. They had some people there that looked like they were in a home office. The entire staff here is very friendly and helpful. Top notch all the way. You can bring your own helmet for the zip line, ropes course and rock climbing, which I recommend, so you know it fits, or they have common use ones that you can borrow They have 2 concession stands, one upstairs, by where you get on the zip-line and one downstairs. The upstairs one is only open on busy days. The downstairs one has a small arcade area and is their primary concession bar. They have candy, soft drinks, hot dogs, burger, fries, pretzels and other typical quick food. They are slightly higher priced than normal. I guess in line with movie theater prices. And they do not allow outside food or drinks. They have 4 zip lines that are all the same, but the number of lines open depends on how packed the place is. They were only running one line while I was there. There are some couches overlooking the zip line and some tables and chairs in the area of the upstairs concession stand that are some prime real estate. That is where some parents set up their hoe offices and also serves as a place to hold people's coats, shoes and other belongings. I did not see one free, while I was there. FYI: The ropes course has a higher height requirement than most of the attractions there. You should check it before you wait in line to make sure that your little is good to go. The rock climbing wall has two sections. One has a lot of attachments for little kids to grab and stand on. The other has much less attachments and is way more challenging. They have a toddler area, with a large bounce house and little toys. It is fenced off from the other areas. It is only for kids 2 years old and under or who are under 35 pounds. This is the only area in the complex that those kids can play. They play host to birthday parties and have a huge indoor soccer field where they hosts soccer leagues, football games and ultimate frisbee. It is very nice, with spectator bleachers and all. It can be rented out. They run some good specials, like their Hero Days on Wednesday and Thursday where Police, teachers, firefighters, nurses and military (along with their immediate family) get a discounted rate for 2 hours of unlimited stuff. It is a really good deal. You may also find an occasional Groupon deal as well. I really do not understand all the bad reviews this place got. My experience was awesome. My little and I had so much fun. She rode the zip line like they were closing it down for the season. She was able to easier navigate the rock climbing wall, which boosted her confidence as well as her ego. There is tons to do here, but I think two hours is good to do what you want to do. This is definitely the place to bring the little ones, but not too little. I highly recommend checking this place out.

It's like a little baby nightclub. But mainly, Zip City is for the big kids. There are two ziplines, several trampolines (even trampolines where you can joust, shoot hoops and play dodgeball), a laser tag area, a sky obstacle course and a rock climbing wall. There is also an indoor field, but we didn't play on it because there was a soccer game happening when we visited. We were here for a birthday party, and it seems like a great place to have a party. You get your own space with tables and a staff member to help, and then you set your hellions loose to burn off the sugar from the birthday cake. It's a really fun place for boys and girls who are adventurous and need an outlet for their energy. One of the things that I appreciate was that there was a staff member at each area, and several at the trampolines. They are always watching everything that's happening, and will remind you of the rules if they see you breaking them. I like my kids to have fun, but I like them to be safe more. In order to use the zipline, you need to weigh at least 35 pounds. Keep that in mind when planning a trip! Kids who weigh less than 35 pounds can play in the toddler section.
