The first time was with my 1992 black Acura.The window stopped working so I figured i was needing a new motor.Nope.Sabi repaired a broken wire for a minimal service charge.Off to a great Start. Then the starter problem. I had replaced a starter myself from a rebuilt shop and it was defective.Sabi was able to figure this out.Since then I knew i had found my repair shop. His shop has been doing oil changes,starters,,master cylinders,tires,Brakes Alternaters and services on my cars.Always repaired correctly and affordably. Its nice to see a familiar face at a garage shop with someone who knows you and your vehicles anytime you need auto repairs. Sabis shop is very qualified with very honest and reliable mechanics and I would not take my car anywhere else. I have previously worked at a Chevrolet dealership for 5 years.i would distribute service work orders to mechanics (12 of them) so i have seen the inside of the automotive business. In July 2024 Austin Automotive replaced the starter in my 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee. $800+…read moreIn April 2025 I was experiencing intermittent starting problems so in May 2025 I returned to Austin Automotive so they could check it out. They couldn't find a problem with the starter and recommended a new battery. $77 I had the battery checked and was told by the Brunette Battery that the problem wasn't with the battery. I eventually took my vehicle to another repair shop and they discovered the ferrule connector on the ignition signal wire was loose. They replaced the ferrule and the issue disappeared. In December 2025 the starter stopped working. When the new shop checked it out they told me the nut securing the power line from the battery had been cross-threaded and had worked loose causing short circuits. They suggested this was the probable cause for the starter/solenoid failure. While I'm unhappy with the quality of work done on the starter replacement, I feel ripped off on the "diagnosis" service charge as it appears they didn't put the car on the hoist, to check the starter connections, only testing the electrical systems from above, (under the hood).

Brought my car in at appointment time but they sent me away. "Too busy" right now they said. Came back at new appointment time. This time someone had called in sick and they couldn't fix it. Third time there and the employee working only replaced one of the two required exhaust pipes BUT didn't say anything!!!! The other pipe he just stuffed with muffler putty (?!) He dead eyed told me both parts were installed and charged me for both!!!! Liaaaaaars. I went out to the parking lot, looked under the car, which still sounded like it was leaking exhaust and literally saw muffler putty spurting out. Went back in and called them out on it. Wtf?!?!!? Stone faced lie. The owner then got involved and blah blah blah. Fast talking slick eddy. Ended up fixing it as originally said but charged me double than the quoted price. I was a teenager at the time and didn't push back too hard. You tell me if that's how honest, good business is done? I never went back, told everyone I know my experience and everyone else relayed similar horror stories. They've had a bad rep for decades and the only way their Yelp rating is as high as it is, is insiders pumping up the number. Scammers. 100% Would strongly not recommend.
