I randomly met Lenar when he came to my house to help package up equipment on behalf of a former employer. He was early, quick, and kind that day. And he randomly mentioned that his company also oversees moves. I literally called him three days ago and asked if he might be able to squeeze me in this week. Not only did he accept the job last minute, but he quoted me a very fair and reasonable rate (especially with it being a last minute request). Today the three guys he assigned to the job just finished and I could not be happier. They were all kind, friendly, careful, quick and neat. Hands down my best moving experience ever. For example, the booking team specifically said to leave drawers in dressers. The movers were shocked as they would always prefer less weight. Would I use them again? Probably. But I would prefer an actual mover to do the estimate instead of someone over the phone sight unseen. Even a FaceTime or similar video app that would allow for a visual could go a long way towards aligning everyone's expectations.

I called the owner and basically he was trying to figure out the appointment, then admitted that there was a mistake and they were going to send the crew. We waited for a couple of hours and didn't get a call or respond. When I called again, he said he could send someone later afternoon or give me a discount if I want to reschedule for a day after. Thankfully I wasn't time-rushed so I pushed back. What really bothered me was that the owner gave me an excuse after all this saying that his brother tried to give me a call the day before and it went to the voicemail; when I actually received no phone calls the day before whatsoever. I would have been okay with a simple apology and discount that was offered but that excuse totally gave it away. The next day, the movers came and they were professional and did a great job. The morning of the delivery I was informed that there would be a refundable "rental" of an air conditioned dog crate. This charge would be $600 for which I was to get $588 upon delivery. Within 5 minutes of paying this I was informed that I now was required to pay $1000 for insurance for the trip of 9 hours. Since I had no previous notification of either of these charges I refused the insurance. I was in the process of being SCAMMED by this company. Now, the next day they have not returned my money even though the dog crate was never used. The only time I was able to speak to anyone I was laughed at by two brothers (assumed owners).
