If there is one place that comes to my mind when I think of downtown San Francisco, it's Pier 39!…read more I was trying to remember if there is any other pier that is more happening than this one... NOPE, was the answer! I mean, I am from the East Coast and have been to 100s of piers, right? There are so many piers in NYC alone, but most of them are mainly for fishing, with a couple of shops here and there. But this one has almost everything you would expect from an amusement park! Gift shops, restaurants, a unique Biscoff café, Christmas shops, street performers, an old-style carousel, an aquarium, views of the Bay and Alcatraz, and even the famous sea lions. Damn, this place has it all! Super touristy, but fun, especially if you are visiting with kids. It's a great place to walk around, grab a snack, enjoy the views, and easily spend a couple of hours. The pier opened in 1978 and was built on top of an old cargo pier. The famous sea lions showed up in 1989 and decided to stay! Food here is on the pricey side, but the atmosphere is lively, and there is always something going on. Come in the morning if you prefer smaller crowds, but the evening vibe is fun too. Parking is available at the Pier 39 garage, which is convenient but expensive. There are other paid parking lots a few blocks away that might be cheaper. One place you should not miss when visiting San Francisco, and this is it!

Pier 39 is honestly so touristy but it's worth it. Come during the fall or spring and try to come…read moreon an off day so it's not too packed. There are plenty of restaurants with great views as well as casual spots to eat. It is lovely to have a view of the bay, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Ferris wheel all in one. On the other end, you can see the sea lions and Alcatraz. The sea lions are really really fun - there is one sea lion that is absolutely MASSIVE. The parking is expensive but you can get 1 hour comped when you validate. On a beautiful day, this is reallly a fun spot to come (even if it is touristy).

DO NOT SHOP ONLINE!!! False advertising of FREE RETURNS and GASLIGHTING by customer service aka…read more"concierge"! They included a letter stating free returns with my order and their website automated chat also stated that returns are free, but when I contacted customer service they said that was last year's policy and refused to honor. This is what the "concierge" wrote to me when I sent them a photo of the letter included with my order. "To clarify, the free return mentioned applies when you choose an exchange option. For returns processed as a refund to the original payment method, an $8 return fee is deducted, in line with our current returns policy. We understand how the wording may have caused confusion, and we truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention." Thanks for victim blaming and calling it my confusion, but free return is what the letter states. This is what their website AI agent states.. "US domestic customers: Use this portal to initiate a return and receive a free USPS label: https://aninebing.myshopify.com/apps/returns https://aninebing.myshopify.com/apps/returns. Simply click "Drop off at Post Office". Free returns and exchanges are offered for full-price purchases within 14 days of receiving your order, provided the merchandise is unworn and unwashed. " Even after emailing back and forth 5-6 times, the concierge wouldn't honor their advertised free return. Never again Anine Bing!!!

The most amazing collection for those who are obsessed with socks!…read more Located on Pier 39, The San Francisco Sock Market this store carries every style of sock imaginable! From character themed socks, catchy puns, intricate designs, or even the most basic boring pair- this place gotchu. With my child's teacher being a milk tea lover, I couldn't help but want to find her something boba themed for her upcoming birthday. I was hoping to pick from a number of designs but was only left between 2 when it came to this particular motif. Our purchase was cute and my toddler felt so accomplished being able to personally pick out something for her teacher. The cost for the items vary so it's very budget friendly. 5/5 stars. I always enjoy stopping by even if there isn't anything I specifically need and now my toddler is just as excited to do the same.

While the prices are a bit higher than going to Target, I really don't think they are overly expensive considering the store is located at such a big tourist spot. The shop is a bit cramped but that is because they have filled every single available space with merchandise. If you can't find what you're looking for here, it may not exist, lol. But it is definitely worth taking the time to look because you may find something that you didn't know you needed, like cat mom socks. LOL
