Really excellent experience at WildBride. The selection was very unique compared to other shops I have visited and fit the somewhat non traditional vibe I was looking for. My appointment was completely private and that was helpful as I had the space and attention to try a lot of different gowns and then revisit the favorites. Cassie was extremely professional and knowledgeable, asking about likes and dislikes with each gown and then suggesting some that turned out to be big hits. I felt like she really listened and heard what I was talking about and was a very calming presence. The salon itself comfortably fit myself and my mom and MIL. One of the best parts in my opinion was the trifold mirror because I could more easily see the backs and sides of dresses, I didn't realize how much this helped until I went somewhere else with just a single small mirror and felt like I couldn't see. The dresses I ended up most interested in fell in the ballpark of $3400. During the week an appointment is free but I think there is a small fee on the weekends. I am a street size 8 and was able to fit into every dress I picked out, some were a little bit of a squeeze and some needed clips but everything was in the standard bridal range 8-12. I loved my experience and it may even be where I come back and purchase my dress! But I cannot recommend this enough for any bride that has an open mind about what they might like. read more

I found WildBride through a friend of a friend, who said "Yes" to a dress from this store. I loved the different styles curated in their designer collection that I saw through their Instagram posts. I consider myself to be more of a boho- chic kind of bride, which was the style I felt that a lot of their dresses catered to. Candidly I had a first styling elsewhere, which had a completely different vibe compared to WildBride. I have to admit that I did feel my appointment at WildBride was a little lackluster compared to other bridal shops, but there could've been other factors attributing to the feeling. For example, I was the only one being styled at the time so I wasn't buzzing off excitement from other brides. I still had an overall fun experience at my styling, nonetheless Customer service at WildBride is excellent. Our stylist, Grace, was very sweet and helpful. Although she was one of their newer stylists, I thought she was confident in what she knew and provided honest feedback, which takes thick skin to do. I also had the pleasure of chatting with Samira, the owner, who is a good communicator and passionate about her bridal shop. The dresses at WildBride were lovely and unique. Only one dress made my top 5 list, but hey all it takes is that one dress. Don't sleep on Obelia by Temperley London! It is wonderfully different - elegant, bold, and badass. I booked the appointment for my best friend to try on wedding dresses on December 21. Based on the reviews I figured it would be a great experience. Sadly it was far from great. She stated her budget and showed her styles she loved. The consultant was rude and said there wasn't much for her to choose from with a $3,000 budget. The consultant didn't help my friend get into the dresses she tried on. When asked if there were more styles like the one she liked the consultant blatantly said NOPE! The appointment was scheduled for an hour and we all decided to leave after 25 minutes. I know the consultant was not the owner based on searching the website for her name. Samira is an incredibly attentive consultant and listens, makes recommendations about not only the dress but venues (as I've not picked one yet) too! On 9/7/24, my sister (the bride), our mom, and two friends visited Wild Bride for a dress appointment. We were helped by a stylist and a woman sitting at the front desk (who I believe is the owner). We were seated in the front room, but it quickly became uncomfortable due to the intense heat from the sun coming directly through the windows. Despite our efforts to close the blinds, the room remained uncomfortably hot and bright. Although there was a shaded room in the back of the store, and no other guests were present, we were not offered the option to move. Throughout the appointment, my sister was repeatedly reprimanded for touching dresses, even though several already had visible tears. She was also scolded for sitting in a dress to test its comfort. Despite her saying multiple times that she was comfortable with the price of a dress, she was asked repeatedly if she was sure about it. At one point, I overheard the owner telling our stylist not to show us something on her iPad. We felt unwelcome from the start, and the owner's frequent dirty looks only added to the discomfort. To make matters worse, at the end of the appointment, the owner jokingly suggested that my sister could wear one of the dresses for her "second wedding," a comment we found extremely unkind and inappropriate. Ultimately, my sister bought her dress at another store that carried the same designer as Wild Bride. We are hispanic and I am not sure this had anything to do with it, but based on another negative review here I feel we may have been discriminated against. I hope Wild Bride can do better! read more

I can't believe it's taken me almost 4 years to write this after the experience I had at WildBride, but here we are! I truly can't recommend WildBride enough. I'm not much of a 'bridal store' fan...it's awkward and pushy, and after 5 minutes in the store I was always happier to leave than to try on anything else. Wild Bride was completely different. The store owner, Samira, is a joy to be around and makes the process fun and easy. Her store is stocked with beautiful, unique dresses, and she goes above and beyond to ensure the entire process - start to finish - is seamless. I ended up getting a Nevenka dress from WildBride, and it was exactly what I wanted for my desert, minimalist wedding. It was 100% cotton (hand-twisted!) battenberg lace, and I've never felt more beautiful. There was a small tear in a piece of the lace (again, the lace is all hand-twisted) when I received it from Melbourne and Samira worked with the owner of Nevenka to get it sent back and returned to me *incredibly* fast. All in all, I wouldn't trade my experience at WildBride for anything. It's was truly part of my wedding planning experience that was easy and fun - not to mention I felt beautiful but still authentically me (not like I was trying to be a 'bride' if that makes sense). I ended up choosing between a Cortana gown & a Claire La Faye gown - the Claire La Faye gown won! Samira was so helpful in letting me try dresses on multiple times, pairing them with veils, and asking me questions to help me decide which one was right for me. I'm a transperson, never bought a wedding dress before or even tried one on, but saw something in the sample section of the website that both myself and a friend helping me liked. The piece we saw was a kind of cape that needed a high quality slip beneath it. The saleswoman we worked with (and I'm sorry to say I've forgotten her name) picked a perfect slip off their sample rack and told me how best to slip it on, and then helped me into the top piece. I felt so comfortable with this whole process, and knew instantly that I'd found the perfect look for myself. The 2 pieces of this dress were so beautiful to me that even if my fiancee had called at that moment to break the engagement I would have bought the dress. WildBride is a lovely space; the two women I spoke with there were so polite and welcoming and charming to me. I realize that I got very lucky in coming to look at one item and having it turn out to be beyond my dreams, but WildBride will linger long in this epic memory, and I can't wait to walk down the aisle. read more

When I first saw the Willowby by Watters wedding gowns online, I fell in love instantly. And when I found that WildBride was one of the few locations that I could try on a Willowby gown, I booked my appointment as soon as possible. When I arrived at WildBride, the boutique was beyond adorable, the lighting was amazing, and Samira (the owner) is such a lovely person! Samira has hand-selected gowns that are made for the free-spirited bride. And she only schedules one appointment at a time too, so she can truly focus on helping you find your dream gown. Unfortunately, my first trip to WildBride, I did not find my dress. Afterward, I visited over 10 different bridal shops throughout the Bay Area over a 3-month period and I still couldn't find my dress. And to be honest, none of the other bridal shops I visited came close to the quality experience I received at WildBride. I was starting to feel down, thinking maybe I was being too critical and should just settle for a dress. Then one day, I received an email from Samira and she had just gotten in a few samples of the new Spring 2019 Willowby collection. I just picked up my wedding gown at wildbride and have been so happy and blown away by the process from the start! I shopped at 4 bridal salons in San Francisco and this was by far my favorite. I worked with Samira, who is the owner of the shop, and she went above and beyond at both of my bridal shopping appointments and now at my bridal pick up appointment to make me feel comfortable and to have the best experience. She is so kind and thoughtful and shared a lot of expert tips about how to store my dress, how to avoid shoes that could snag, and even how to store and style my mom's bridal veil that I will be wearing. She also responded quickly to emails and answered all of my questions throughout the process and was great at communicating when my dress would be available to pick up. My friend is getting married in August and I invited myself to her dress-shopping (it's my right as a bridesmaid, no?). I'm going to preface this review by saying that I don't know a wedding dress from a burlap sack. Let's just say a lot of Googling was done along the way (A-line? Trumpet? Mermaid? Are we listing random nouns??) Knowing nothing about this place, I knew WildBride was going to be the real deal when we showed up about 15 minutes early and the door was locked. Samira was super apologetic and explained that the showings are private, and asked if we would mind circling the blocks for a few minutes. There was a record shop across the street and the beautiful Painted Ladies were just around the corner -- of course we didn't mind! We love the professional courtesy that is shown to each and every customer. When it was finally our turn, Samira ushered us into her beautiful little studio and offered us each a glass of Prosecco. She had the bride fill out a quick questionnaire with details about the wedding (indoor/outdoor, number of guests), as well as designers that she was interested in. She then walked the bride through the collection of dresses, which wasn't completely overwhelming like at some other places. The dresses here are simply beautiful and the style, as my friend informs me, is "boho-chic". Definitely more casual than a full-on ball gown but also classy and elegant...and most importantly, comfortable. My friend is a big fan of lace and she was definitely able to find several beautiful dresses that she liked. At the end of our session, Samira even asked if we would mind showing her pictures of the dresses we had looked at/liked previously. When she saw one of the dresses, she gasped and exclaimed "That's the one. That looks amazing on you!" I loved that she placed the bride's happiness over making a sale. She even offered some great tips on where to find other dresses that my friend might like. Overall a great experience. My appointment at Wildbride was with Emily, and she was so wonderful (as was Wildbride as a whole)! Although I did not find my wedding dress there, I had an absolutely wonderful experience. I went there because it carried one of my favorite designers, and they had some very affordable options considering such a wide price range and designer range. The inside is lovely, with some natural light from big windows, which can make a huge difference compared to other places that have darker rooms with dimmer lights and you're thinking about photos in your dress (esp. outdoor settings)! Emily immediately asked about details regarding the type of wedding I'm having and followed up about things I emailed regarding the designers and the dresses. She was incredibly helpful with getting them on me and clipping them properly so that I could see what they would look like once they were fitted to my body. She was very attentive, positive, and very informative as well! She also made an effort to ask about me as a person and made me feel like not just a customer and a bride, but also a human being. My wife and I flew into town with our middle daughter from Michigan to look for wedding dresses for our youngest daughter. Her wedding is scheduled to be July 8th. We had attended two previous appointments that morning. We have also done this twice before with our other two daughters. The owner was sitting at a desk and when we arrived a bit early she did not allow us in Despite no other clients being in the store. When we did enter we were not offered any water. My middle daughter started to look at the dresses and was admonished to " not touch the dresses because they try to keep them clean". All thru the appointment she was unfriendly didn't address my daughter(the bride) and gave curt cold answers. She was unfriendly and not helpful. We felt she was unfriendly and hostile. I have been thru this process three times probably going to 15 appointments and this was the worse by far. I am an Orthopedic Surgeon and black. I honestly felt discriminated against by the owner. She made us feel very uncomfortable. The last appointment was at Lovely where a wonderful woman Amanda helped us and I purchased a dress more expensive than anything we saw at Wild Bride. I would discourage anyone from going to Wild Bride. We were treated rudely and felt hostility when these appointments should be a joyous occasion. read more

When looking for wedding gowns, I always knew I wanted something a non-traditional to match my personality. WildBride was a beautiful store that felt more dedicated for brides looking for something unique! I booked online for my appointment, and she was about a month out for weekends. No worries! Arriving to WildBride, my party and I were immediately greeted by the shop owner, Samira. She gave us all Prosecco and water, and had me fill out a quick questionnaire that asked the basics (wedding date, venue, types of dresses you're interested in, etc). After the questionnaire we got to browse through the amazing selection of dresses she had. Willowby by Watters was one of the companies who's gowns I fell in love with online, and she had some of the most recent gowns by them. Samira is awesome! She paid attention to how I was feeling through the whole appointment. And when she noticed I didn't feel comfortable in something, she instantly stepped in and knew without me saying anything. Samira was so kind and professional and her shop is GORGEOUS. Highly recommend for the bride who's looking for something different, something a little bit wild :) read more

Incredible, incredible store lighting (makes a difference for your dress!) and wonderful service. Absolutely perfect for a more private showing with a small group of friends and family. Don't need a crazy budget in order to find something lovely here. Samira's boutique is nestled in a cute part of Hayes Valley (one of my favorite neighborhoods), and inside you'll find a gorgeously decorated bridal boutique with the best ambiance I've had for a fun dress tryout session with friends and family. I can't overstate that. And the lighting is hands down THE BEST I had ever experienced in a bridal store, with a mix of indoor and outdoor lighting - Samira needs to get huge props for setting the space us as she has - and it does make trying out the dresses such a treat!! Samira made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole day, was very patient, kind, and helpful. She was very respectful of my budget - you won't feel nickel-and-dimed here. She even found a top contender way below the ceiling of my budget! At first I was like "so many 5-star reviews, can it really be that good?" but Wildbride truly deserves these stars :) I would 100% recommend all of my friends who are wedding dress-hunting to stop by this place. read more
