Great dress try on experience!
Nami T.

Lovely store and friendly staff. I did not go through with a purchase here (I think I would have had my appointment been just one week sooner!) but I appreciated the experience all the same. One of two Chosen by Kyha stockists in California, and the only Prea James stockist I believe. Didn't feel rushed at all. Worth the visit! When my last single girlfriend/bridesmaid gets married, I'm taking her back here!

CHEERS TO THE DRESS!

Sophia just started and is amazing??? She's so kind and playful in all the best ways. Made the whole experience such a good time, and we left feeling like we made new friends and found some amazing dresses that aligned with our wishes. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful trial experience here with my two girlfriends when I went looking for my wedding dress in February. Unveiled had a great, curated selection of beautiful gowns in different styles. They greated us with champagne, had a lovely fitting room and a very friendly and professional team. This was the first place I tried on dresses and eventually where I found my wedding dress--The Haven by NEWHITE. They also offered me recommendations of tailors who knew their dresses well.

Unveiled was a great place to get a wedding dress! Their fitting rooms are beautiful and service high end. Selection is great. I enjoyed trying on dresses while my lady friends sat on a cozy couch and had champagne! The shop recommended a split size for me, which meant there wasn't a lot of tailoring to do in the end. They know their stuff! They were accommodating when I was running late due to a delayed flight. The shop was very responsive to all my emails / questions. Thanks Unveiled!

Sarah and Claire are the sweetest sisters with the best taste in bridal gowns! Unveiled Bridal is not your typical wedding dress shop. Unlike generic wedding dress stores that sell a plethora of wedding gowns that can truly overwhelm a person, Unveiled Bridal carefully curates a modest selection of unique dresses from modern couture designers. In fact, they were the only bridal shop in the state of California that carried the dress I was looking for. I basically lucked out that I happened to live in the city they are in. I was looking for a particular gown from an Australian designer, Georgia Young Couture. I found Unveiled Bridal through the designer's stockist list and I'm so glad that I did! My bridal gown appointment was a blast. My friend and I had so much fun with Sarah as my stylist. I got to walk "the cat walk" in the dress I was looking for and tried on the other gorgeous gowns I wouldn't have known existed if it weren't for this shop. Turns out, it was pretty hard to choose which dress was THE one. Even though I came in with an idea of what I wanted, the selection of dresses were just all so gorgeous and unique. I ended up making my decision during that appointment. I had already been to other bridal gown shops before coming to Unveiled and generally felt unimpressed with any of the dresses. Mainly, because none of the other shops had dresses as breathtakingly beautiful but also because of the experience. Sarah was there to tend to my needs without any distractions from anyone else. It was a private experience that allowed me to really get a feel for not only the dress but how the rest of the experience would be. Everything was smooth sailings after I paid my dress deposit. Sarah and Claire were communicative about the process and very responsive to any questions I had after the fact. Claire even met me for a second appointment just so I could quickly show my brother and sister in law the gorgeous gown I got. Most importantly, my dress came in exactly how long they told me it would. There's nothing that makes a bride more nervous than not getting her gown in time! I highly recommend Unveiled Bridal to anyone who wants to look like a goddess on earth on their wedding day. Their gowns are truly unique and just absolutely stunning.

Had a most enjoyable and helpful experience here today with my soon to be daughter in law, her mom and sisters. The salon owner is knowledgeable, creating the perfect bridal dress try-on moments. The selection of gowns...curated, displayed with care, and uniqueness of styles, sets the scene for a top-notch successful event. In my opinion of all the visited salons...Unveiled Bridal was superior for us in all we were hoping to accomplish. Fabulous selection of veils and accessories. If you are looking for a truly special, focused bridal gown shopping occasion...visit Unveiled Bridal on Union Street.

Lace & Liberty delivered the dress of my dreams. I first visited their San Francisco showroom with…read morean inspiration photo I had saved for years, hoping to create something similar. During my initial consultation, Nancy took the time to understand what I liked about my inspiration and helped me think through the possibilities of a custom gown. The final design ultimately became a beautiful blend of my ideas and the team's expertise, and it felt completely like me. From there, I worked primarily with Alison and the rest of the team throughout the design and production process. They were thoughtful, communicative, and incredibly accommodating every step of the way. They shared progress photos along the way, and when we realized there was a mismatch between how I had interpreted part of the sketch and how it was being executed, Alison immediately jumped on a call to listen to my feedback and help adjust the design. I always felt heard and supported, and it was clear that everyone genuinely cared about getting the dress right. The craftsmanship and quality were exceptional. I chose a custom gown with mikado silk, a square neckline, pockets, a full skirt, and a long train with buttons down the back, and every detail was beautifully executed. Even more impressive, the dress fit perfectly despite measurements being taken about eight months before the wedding. I fully expected I'd need alternations closer to the wedding date, but the only alteration I ended up needing was adding a bustle. On the wedding day, I felt confident, comfortable, and completely myself. Looking back at our photos nearly a year later, I still love every detail. If you're considering a custom wedding dress, I highly recommend Lace & Liberty for their craftsmanship, communication, and genuine care throughout the entire process.

It was honestly stressful picking…read morelaces and trying to convey what I wanted, but my anxieties were calmed when Alison sent the illustration, which I still treasure. I recommend going in for the measurements, if you are able to. I was surprised with a mock up using the lace and fabrics I had chosen. I felt so excited and like my desires were heard and incorporated into the thoughtful design. Throughout the dress creation process (physically in China), I was able to request changes and Alison conveyed them to the team. The dress arrived quickly and with no issue and luckily fit perfectly with no need for alterations other than adjusting the sleeve diameter. My alterations tailor who took care of my reception gown also commented on how high quality and well constructed the ceremony dress was (she does not have any affiliation with lace & liberty). I adored my dress-- it was so perfect for our special day!

The materials are usually satin , organza or layers of tulle to maintain a grand , floating shape . This place is popular. A appointment is a must . They charged $55 for one hour of trying on 10 gowns with a stylist . It may run over time a little bit but they did not charge us more . Each bride to be and friends got their own changing room and full body mirror , sofa to sit and wait . They serve you ice water with no charge and a menu to order latter and other drinks for a fee . Our personal stylist is Tiffany . She is great . Very patient and helpful to help the bride to come to the conclusion of what type of wedding gowns she actually likes the most . It was an elimination process . We started with 10 gowns and went down to the top two at the end . The prices vary depending on the materials. It ranges about $2000 to $6000 . Then two months before your wedding day they would made smaller adjustments and alterations to fit you perfectly. This is a pleasant experience and highly recommended to come to this bridal boutique.

I had a great experience at the Janene's showroom in San Francisco. They have a huge selection of…read moredresses in a variety of styles. I was looking for something a little unusual, and at other stores I had struggled to try dresses in line with what I was looking for. It's a beautiful store in a convenient location, and I would highly recommend it. My stylist was very helpful and I loved working with her! (Shoutout to Renee!) That being said, I wouldn't recommend the tailoring at Janene's in Alameda. The first issue I encountered was that my dress wasn't delivered from the San Francisco store to the Alameda store in time for my first tailoring appointment, despite there being about 10 days to do so. The more concerning issue was that the stylist and tailor I worked with in Alameda didn't take my concerns about fit and comfort seriously, and seemed more interested in doing what they felt was best. My dress wound up being ill-fitting and uncomfortable in the torso and shoulders. What added further insult to injury was that the last stylist I worked with when I picked up my dress insisted that it wasn't that bad, and that all wedding dresses are similarly uncomfortable. There were a few issues with how the fabric was lying that I was assured could be fixed with fashion tape; when it came to the day of the wedding, fashion tape was completely ineffective. For all that, the alterations also cost more than my wedding dress. I've been effusive in my praise for Janene's as a place to buy a wedding dress; one of my friends has already bought a dress there! I have been similarly dispassionate about the tailoring services.

Judy was so amazing in helping me design and craft my absolute DREAM wedding dress that also worked…read morewith my budget! I couldn't be happier!!!! Seriously I am so overjoyed and cannot wait to wear my dress at my upcoming wedding!! I was introduced to her by a friend who bought 3 wedding dresses from her and I was floored to see how beautiful and quality they were without costing an arm and a leg and 2 Bay Area mortgages. It was a no-brainer for me to contact Judy! Overall Thought: Judy is very professional from beginning to end. Booking an appointment was easy. When I got to her studio, she was very friendly in greeting me yet very efficient, clear, and honest in asking about my vision, budget, timeline, and how we can make that happen together. After the initial visit, she was very responsive via email, and I was never left unsure about what the next step was. A super great bonus is that she is very supportive and encouraging in discussing my ideas for the dress and coming up with the design. I cannot emphasize enough how positive she made me feel throughout the design process. She was gushing over the different ideas I brought up like a very excited maid of honor! But was also realistic and honest with ideas that she thought would not have worked. Process Details: Judy offers a few different design/manufacturing/budget options, so there's a good chance that she will have something that fits your need and vision. You can get off-the-rack gowns, or pick from an existing design and she'll make a dress to fit you (either Judy's own or certain other designers' designs), or she can help you design a brand new gown from scratch. The last option is what I went with. My design was fairly simple, and she recommended some manufacturing options that could help me stay within budget. This was the perfect solution for me! I wanted a custom design, but another local designer I contacted was out of my budget range even though my design was super simple. I found a few overseas designers/manufacturers who could help create a custom design and ship the final product to me, but I was apprehensive to work with them since they cannot take my measurements, work with me in person during the design process, and provide a final fitting service unless I can make an international trip to see them. Judy was the perfect happy medium that did not compromise on design and quality! We started by having a one hour meeting where she listened to my ideas, reviewed reference photos, showed me fabric swatches, took my measurements, and sketched designs. She then sent a summary email of the design, and we corresponded via email and at a second meeting to make some adjustments until we arrived at a final illustration. Judy was very meticulous in following the details we discussed and the details that I did not have the expertise to request. For example, the types of hooks and zippers used, the linings, and the silicone liners to hold up the top, etc. Nothing was overlooked. My dress turned out even better than I had hoped for, with me having to do almost zero work after we agreed on the design and fabric. I received multiple photos to confirm the final product. And I asked a LOT of questions, all of which she answered with patience. The dress arrived within the expected timeframe, and Judy did a final fitting with me. The hip area was too narrow (which she fixed without a hitch and I came back to pick it up later), but otherwise, the dress fitted like a glove! She even helped me match my dress with the veils and gloves that I bought separately. All in all, I would 10/10 recommend her to any future brides I know! It was not only a successful process but also a genuinely pleasant one!

I should have known it was fate when I showed up and we were wearing the exact same black dress, down to the brand! A few friends recommended Janene's, and between the two locations and my budget, the city location was the better fit. It's gorgeous, with lots of natural light, wood floors, and a wide variety of dresses. Our appointment started right on time, and Hannah began with a quick consultation about what I was looking for and the details of my wedding day. She then gave us a tour so we understood how the dresses were organized, and we pulled a few pieces that caught our eye. What made Hannah great is that she truly listened. She was actively involved in helping me try each dress on, and the process was so efficient that I got to try on plenty of options to find my dress. In addition to what I liked she also brought a few suggestions. My dress was one she found for me after listening and observing what caught my eye. I never felt rushed, and she made me feel confident and taken care of. I'm so happy with how everything went that I'd try on dresses every year just for fun if I could. I would choose Janene's and Hannah every time. Thank you, Hannah, for turning what can be a stressful process into a joyful experience that will be a core memory for me, my family and friends.

There's sooooo many dresses to choose from and everything I looked at was under $2000 (both consignment and made-to-order dresses, pre-alterations). I went with three of my bridesmaids. I had them run around and pick a bunch of dresses for me while I got zipped up by our stylist, Janna. We showed up 10ish minutes late and I was still able to try on about nine dresses (and even re-tried on some of our faves). It was a fast and furious session, but we had A TON of fun. We had narrowed it down to two dresses when we had an hail mary idea to try on one last style. Janna was able to find the exact thing we were looking for in like 2 seconds and it ended up being the winner. Janna was very knowledgeable of the inventory, very sweet, gave good critiques and guidance on how to get things altered, and also put up with our shenanigans haha. We had such a good time that all my friends said they were coming back when it was their turn to try on wedding dresses.

I didn't read any reviews prior to us going in, so I went in with an open mind. Now after reading reviews, I'm shocked that the person who helped us was actually the Owner. Like WTH!??! that's CRAZYYY. It was a waste of money for the appointment. The staff was unhelpful and unfriendly, and you basically have to pull the dresses yourself. All they really help you with is clipping you into the dress. The first face we saw was I believe, Aaliyah. She was so unwelcoming and unfriendly. Would it kill her to smile a little? It's a bridal store, after all and wedding dress shopping is supposed to be a fun experience. We were about 5 minutes early to our appointment and there was nowhere to sit, so I asked her where my mom could sit. She rudely told me there was nowhere to sit because they were cleaning up the room for us. So we stood. Well, once we got back there, it was basically an open space with two benches where my mom clearly could have sat. So I don't know why she couldn't have just offered that as an option. I also wasn't a fan of how they do their dresses. Now I see as reading reviews, they're consignment style so that makes sense why the layout is how it is. Most of them are off the rack, so the size is basically whatever they have. Then they have the made-to-order dresses, but those seemed to be pretty limited as well. The person helping us was Emily. I didn't know she was the owner until NOW after reading reviews. She was friendly at first, but it really felt like she gave up on helping my sister once she noticed that we weren't finding anything in my sister's style. I pulled a dress for her and then my sister pulled one herself off the rack. My sister wanted to try it on with sleeves, and Emily pushed back on it because she said she didn't think it would look good. Okay, maybe that's her opinion, but why not just let the bride try it and decide for herself? What if my sister was someone with a really quirky or different style? Let the bride try on what she wants! Then Emily told my sister to go look around and find other dresses she wanted to try. So basically, my sister was finding all the dresses herself while Emily stood in the dressing room messing around with the dress my sister had just tried on. At that point I asked her, "Are you going to go pull more dresses?" and she said, "Well, I told her to go find what she likes." Umm...isn't that YOUR job to help her? Isn't that what we're paying for with the appointment? Right after that, I was about to tell her something but my sister came back and said she was done and wanted to leave. We were out of there in less than 30 minutes. That's how bad the experience was. Honestly, don't waste your time coming here. If you're thinking about booking an appointment, I would come in beforehand as a walk-in just to see how they do things before paying for one. And one more thing: they don't even offer you water. They have a sign saying they don't sell water, even though there's water sitting in a mini fridge that's for "VIP appts". LOL. and champagne is for VIP too. LOL. I would've been PISSED if we had booked that b/c like, that means you're gonna stay there a while, when their store is hella small w/not much to look at or try on. I know it sounds like a small thing, but when you're charging people for an appointment, it just comes across as cheap. Overall, this was just not the bridal shopping experience we expected. The whole thing felt rushed, unhelpful, and not worth the money.

My appointment was completely private and that was helpful as I had the space and attention to try a lot of different gowns and then revisit the favorites. Cassie was extremely professional and knowledgeable, asking about likes and dislikes with each gown and then suggesting some that turned out to be big hits. I felt like she really listened and heard what I was talking about and was a very calming presence. The salon itself comfortably fit myself and my mom and MIL. One of the best parts in my opinion was the trifold mirror because I could more easily see the backs and sides of dresses, I didn't realize how much this helped until I went somewhere else with just a single small mirror and felt like I couldn't see. The dresses I ended up most interested in fell in the ballpark of $3400. During the week an appointment is free but I think there is a small fee on the weekends. I am a street size 8 and was able to fit into every dress I picked out, some were a little bit of a squeeze and some needed clips but everything was in the standard bridal range 8-12. I loved my experience and it may even be where I come back and purchase my dress! But I cannot recommend this enough for any bride that has an open mind about what they might like.
