I received a power wheelchair for this place previously. I was hit by a truck in my wheelchair…read moreseveral weeks ago. My chair was totaled. I have multipe serious injuries and these people have made trying to get a replacement wheelchair a NIGHTMARE. Every single "case manager" and the director of the DME company has said something different. I was told at first that I was outside the warranty of one year for my chair and they tried to hang up on me. I kept saying that I was hit by a truck. There should be some way to get a replacement chair. This went on over several phone calls. John the director said I just needed to submit the police report with the new script to Medicare. That was after many different responses from the "case managers." My doctor's office faxed over the new script and I called to let them know the police report was being held up. Then they said that they never received the fax. So I had to spend hours on the phone trying to ensure the fax was sent to the right place. Then I called to find out if the new fax had been received. A man answered who said that they got the script from a week ago, who talked over me, telling me the process to get a new wheelchair was not what John had said, that they needed the doctor to sign off and it would be sent to Medicare and Medicare would request the police report. How would they do that without know which police station responded? That is not what John had told me. Then he said I had an "attitude" and "temperamental" even though I'm LYING IN BED WITH BROKEN BONES AND HAVE NO WHEELCHAIR. The back and forth with this place for two weeks has been like the three stooges. There is no compassion with these people. They're dismissive and inept. Not a single person has said the same thing. Every single person has a different response. To my standing up for myself and trying to speak (the man talked over me for the entirety of the conversation) he became aggressive and insulted me. I'm so upset now, I'll finish this later. They should be selling watches, NOT MEDICAL EQUIPTMENT FOR DISABLED INDIVIDUALS.
