KDWB is one of the Twin Cities radio stations I frequently have playing in my car. I enjoy listening to the Dave Ryan show in the morning, the current hits/popular songs during rush hour, and calling into the variety of contests/giveaways they offer every day. I have won concert tickets multiple times through the phone and through their random drawings in-person...I like how many chances and opportunities they give people to win! Their radio DJs also have a lot of spunk and personality which as someone who tunes in often, makes me want to listen more. Another reason that makes KDWB one of my radio stations of choice is that they hold such fun and interactive events to get the local community together. For example, I have been to two of their "Bachelorette Viewing Parties" this summer and it's always a great time. We got free goodies and enjoyed the company at the gorgeous KDWB studios. KDWB seems to get a lot of backlash and criticism for their lack of "good music" but I think it depends on who you talk to...they play plenty of new songs and oldies but goodies. I think the music is geared toward a younger audience, so don't expect any classic hits if you tune into KDWB. read more

I always look forward to listening to KDWB in the morning! Every morning there is always something that makes me laugh. Whether it's Steve, Falon, or Dave that say's it. I really enjoy the new addition of Murder Mondays. I listen to podcasts at work all the time (Generation Why, Serial, etc..) about different cases similar to the ones they share on Murder Mondays so it really grabs my attention. It is a bit of a creepy start to my Mondays but definitely wakes me up in the mornings. I also enjoy War of the roses... This one makes me feel so bad for people sometimes. Why do cheaters always try to turn it around on the other person when caught? LOL!! This just makes me cringe when they try to do that. They are just a fun morning crew to listen to and I can't imagine my mornings without listening to KDWB. As far as music selection during the day/evening it is not my choice of radio. But they have all of the current pop hits which if that is your thing then give them a listen. read more

It was a decent radio station in the 90s and early 00s, now it's just a basic pop music station that plays the whitest music ever. Hardly any artists are people of color. Oh, and the DJs all white, morning show all white. I like to listen to War of the a Roses, but the rest of the morning show is just white noise and basic white girl problems with little to no cultural awareness. I just tune into the Breakfast Club which is WAAYY more entertaining. read more

First radio station I ever listened to that started with a K. Moved here from Rochester, NY and spent many drives in to work searching for a good morning show. Dave Ryan is really the only reason to listen to KDWB. I'm really not a fan of the music they play at all but I could listen to that banter all freaking day long. My favorite bits are War of the Roses, Group Therapy, and Gary Spivey. I remember getting to work and sitting in the parking garage for a few bills listening because it was better than sitting in my office! Sorry Steveo, you're a Rochestarian like me, but when you first started on the show I noticed a significant decline in the quality. Shorter segments that were poorly conceived. Chug, roll, and throw? Really!? I didn't tune in to listen to Young Joc for the 540 pillionth time or to hear how much money Treasure Island is giving away this week. I tuned in to hear you guys! Accidentally tuned to KDWB today at the pool - we had our audio guy Ted @GadgetMan install fabulous new speakers. Started liking the music - and then within an hour heard 6 advertisements for NUBIOTICS belly fat crap. HELLO KDWB - this is a SCAM that rips people off by charging the crap out of their credit cards - and the product is nothing to do with anything. Done listening to this crap. Can't believe that a radio station can actually put that out there in good conscience. REALLY??!! read more

I'm not much a fan at all of the music this station plays, but I do listen to the Dave Ryan show in the morning on occaision. Sometimes it's pretty good, other times it lacks a lot of interest. Group Therapy is usually pretty decent, as well as Dave's dirt (its where I get my little bits of celebrity gossip). As for the War of the Roses....Its entertaining, but I'm not sure how ethical it actually stands for. I find it a bit over dramatic and maybe should not always be on a radio show in the morning. As for the music...like I said, not much of a fan, I stay away from that, but they do have a lot of contests that sound pretty good. I'm guessing they are extremely hard to win. Disclaimer: If this review were just on the Dave Ryan in the Morning Show it would have 5 stars from me. I will be completely honest, I am semi addicted to the Dave Ryan Show. Ever since graduating college and commuting 20-30 minutes to work every morning I have fallen pretty hard for Dave, Lena, Crisco, and Steve-O... I was a country music fan for several years and never listened to KDWB but now that Dave Ryan has entered my life I have rekindled my middle school crush on Top 40 music. Yeah commercials suck but from 7am to 10am you won't find me listening to anything else. Even though Dave Ryan has been on KDWB since around the time I was born, he's like a fine wine and gets better with age. If you don't believe me try listening for a week and you'll be hooked. I can remember a time when if you wanted to hear the hottest new music you pretty much only had one option in the Twin Cities... and this was it! Keyword there of course, WAS. The only reason to even listen in is for the morning show, which I do enjoy on occasion, otherwise it is nothing more than an advertisement venue direct into my car which is why I end up listening to my internet radio instead. I don't want to hear the same ten songs playing in succession all day... and I also don't care for the edited versions of the songs I do like... Bring back Lena! This show has really tanked since her departure. If they can't bring back Lena, for goodness sakes, can they at least get Crisco off the air? He isn't funny, he repeats everything the others say, he doesn't contribute anything intelligent or humorous, and he is so defensive that he can't take a joke or carry on a bit. Basically everyone knows that the Dave Ryan show is the main reason to listen. One of my first times listening to him the show mentioned they don't care who they offend, and they are very good at ranting and raving about things. I'm not a fan though of when they sometimes take cheap shots at people who are already down. And no offense but Steve-O is just annoying. As for the rest of the station, the DJ's are average. Big D is cool, but I miss the days of Scotty Davis and Tone E Fly! When it comes to music, it's like every other Top 40 station: the same 10-12 songs are stuck on repeat 95% of the time. This is one of my main radio stations and, like I said, the Dave Ryan show is downright HILARIOUS! read more

I love listening to Dave, Falen and Steve they are so funny. It's like they are one big happy family. Except at times when Dave isn't there they seem to struggle to find things to say. I love how Dave always calls people out on there crap and call them idiots all the time. Murder Monday's they are the best because when I am at work I sit in my office with the door closed just so that I don't miss anything. I have always loved War of the Roses I wish sometimes Dave or Steve would call and pretend they are from there cable company and do the bed and breakfast scenario and see who that person would pick just a little change up every so often that's all. I've been listening to this radio station since I moved to Minneapolis in 1982 back then there were two radio stations like this W LOL and KDWB well Dave Ryan came and he changed at all after Steve Cochran had a short radio stunts on KDWB Dave Ryan in the morning with Hiram and Pat and Lee love them and I still listen today read more

They play great music and have alot og contest were you could win to get your bills paid,and could also win tickets to concerts and they help with making your wishes come true for make a wish foundation. Very awesome radiostation and staff (Dave Ryan n coworkers) that work for this station. They also do Christmas wishes for those tgat need help to have a wonderful Christmas. Tried to remember what to text to for getting your bills paid but i hope that i text to the right number cuz i could really use the help to get my bills paid! This is by far the worst radio station in Minnesota. If I could I would give it zero stars. I literally downloaded Yelp so that I can trash on 101.3. I've lived in the West St. Paul area my entire life and whenever I hear this station (which I avoid as much as I can) they play what seems to be the same 20 songs EVERY. HOUR. I cant Express just how repetitive and annoying this radio really is. This may give you an idea: REPETITIVE. REPETITIVE. REPETITIVE. REPETITIVE. and, oh yeah, REPETITIVE. Not only do they play the same songs, there is almost no variation in genre AT ALL. I even noticed this issue as a child. No older than 10. Thank god I have my own car and bluetooth because all of those years as a passanger were painful. I wish I could use profanity in this review but I dont want to get banned (like I said I'm new to yelp I do t know the rules). If you're going to ride shotgun in the Minnesota area I reccomend bringing sony mex1000bt headphones which are $350 and have the best noise cancelling on the market. Its worth the money considering the pain and suffering they will save you from. Hopefully you save yourself from this horrible station. Farewell, partner. read more

I listen to this station on Iheart radio and like it. I have listened to Dave Ryan before and I like Ryan Seacrest. My only problem is their new voice over artest. I am an espiring DJ and voice over artest and an almost profecianal musician and I think the new lady suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks! I liked the british lady better, though I don't know her name. I know she moved back to Open House party, but still this station could find a better replacement than the one they have right now. The male is great though. I like this station otherwise. read more
