Gorman is a terrible host, all he likes to talk about is himself. Not fun and absolutely not funny anymore. And Gorman needs to keep his political views to himself, that is a great way to lose listeners. Gorman's arrogance is stupid beyond belief. The "new" format sucks, why should we listen to KQ when every other station plays the same music. And don't even get me started on the commercials that play for minutes on end. Long time listener no more. read more

The station has gone extreme left. DJ's, even the talk things they do early Sundays. Can't get any more biased. Might as well be listening to audio books of Saul Alinsky. Won't listen again. The music selection has also gone down. read more

I've been listening for decades. NO MORE!!!! Not fun. Not funny. This is no longer my go-to station. Who ever is making the business decisions is TOTALLY incompeten t. read more

Listened to KQ since the late 80's. Ever since the reboot it now sucks. Same goes with the morning show. It's unfortunate to be such a loyal listener to a radio station for so long, and then they do you dirty like that. I'm sure many others feel the same way read more

Too many political opinions expressed by Steve Gorman, I thought this was a music station. Sometimes we like to listen to music without political commentary. read more

Hate the new music, too many commercials. The morning show hosts aren't funny, the show was better with Zep and Tony.

you were the only classic rock station in the Twin Cities and you had to move on to just 80s 90s and 2000s come on those 60s and 70s were legendary and like that's the true rock like some of those 60s and 70s like the true rock of the classic rock format and I really suggest maybe keep the format the way it is right now just add more 60s and 70s to it so that way you can get some of the classic rockers back read more

KQ has been my go-to radio station since they used to play album rock they played the kind of music that I grew up with now all they play is the same old crap that you can find on any other five or six radio stations in the metro. I feel like I've lost an old friend but this new format they have is just not at all for me so all I can say is goodbye KQ read more

What happen to KQ. New format sucks. Trying to target genx. Makes no sense. That group does not listen to radio and your past core listener does. Powerloon 107.5 in Brainerd has it right! Ratings are strong! Stream them Twin Cities and you will get all the real classic rock you want every hour! KQ. You were differentiated in the Twin Cities. Now your just 4 different listeners rolled into one and 3/4 of the time your trying to listen to another generations stuff you don't like or relate to. Your new content manager says take it or leave it. We are leaving it! Your arrogance is stupidity. See ya! Ps new morning show is irrelevant. No character. read more

After 7 months of the "new" format it looks like Kurdziel is still "Drinking from the corporate Kool-Aid". He's been playing the same short playlist on repeat since April. It's almost to the point where it seems like more commercials are airing than music. There was a small ratings increase in June but since then the ratings have been slowly coming down. Even the newer listeners are getting fed up with the "new" corporate format and they are going back to their old stations or streaming apps. Hey James, is it your intent to hang on to this failed and flawed corporate format until you drive away all of the listeners? This idea of playing a short list of hits in order to capture the short commute audience has not worked in the 25 years since corporate radio stations implemented it! It is the only reason why people are switching to streaming apps! Put down the "Company Kool-Aid", wake up and smell the coffee before you find yourself washing dishes at Mickey's Diner in St Paul! read more

After the April change. It sucks. Go back to classic. Never thought I would have to look for another radio station

I need to find another morning show, when Tom left I thought oh no, but they found the right guy for the job, Steve, but now, no way, poor Steve is stuck, alt and 90's. I listened for this week and not a fan. someone thought this was a good thing, fire that person, and get the band back together for laughs and fun, hope it changes, good luck steve. read more

The new KQRS sucks!!! It's terrible!! Who the hell thought this was a good idea? That person should be fired immediately! The morning show and classic rock was awesome, why F it up? I have removed KQ from my saved radio stations. Total garbage. Going to find out where Zep is now and add that station in its place. read more

Just another playlist that plays over and over and over and over every day. Same songs everyday, all day.

The new format sucks! It's basically a combination of 104.1 and the current. A bunch of depressing 90's Alt/Grunge that is fine if you are playing with a Sipa or burning incense in your house. Don't jump the shark KQ and pull a Bud Light! read more

I have been listening to the Tom Barnard morning show for at least 20 years now. They have gone through tons of participants, I miss Gelfand and Terri, but the current crew is great too. Philly Dog is awesome and Brittany and Candice are great female additions. Dave Mordal is a fantastic comedian and super quick, another great add over the last few years. I have been listening to Mike Evan's morning entertainment report at 6:40 every morning before work for more than 18 years on my way to downtown Minneapolis and I love his reports. When my wife and I are both at home getting ready for work if we leave a little later, we always sing "Aloha, Friday!" with him as he closes out his Friday update. They usually throw in two or three classic rock songs in per hour and they make me happy. I like Chris Dimino from Atlanta (I am guessing his contract said he needs an extra hour of work from Cumulus, since was on from 9-10 AM a year ago, and now he is on from 6-7 AM now) and Michele Tafoya from the football sidelines in on for a couple hours a day a few times a week. She is very common sense and not really funny, but a nice addition to the show. A Twin Cities institution. read more

So I called in and won a pair of tickets to a hockey game at the Xcell. GREAT! The game gets cancelled a few hours before the drop of the puck and was not rescheduled. Due to this- I won ABSOLUTELY NOTHINGS YAY KQRS! read more

The "Morning Show" broadcast is nonexistent. Not that new host Steve Gorman is a bad host. He has great potential. The problem is with the executives who decided to play more music than talk. I reluctantly had to switch to a syndicated morning show. If I want to listen to music, I'll choose my own via Pandora. KQ never gave the new cast a chance to have a "true" morning show. Too bad because Tony, Candice, Brian and new host Steve could have been one of the best shows in the country. read more

Cumulus radio made so many stupid changes to KQRS that it's not the same. Still, I am a faithful listener. Many of us will really miss Tommy B. in the morning. I don't think anyone can fill his shoes, but someone should try. I wish Brittany would join Brian Zepp and make the next morning show duo on KQRS! That would be awesome! read more

KQRS Sucks! The worst radio personality in the morning (Tom B) & the same short list of songs, all day. We don't need to hear: Rush, Pink Floyd & U2 every hour of every day. read more

dont care for the kq crewmmthe woman on the morning show has the absolute worst sounding voice on radoi,,,PERIOD

Why why why do u play freaking Rush 2-3 times a day every freaking day? Must have someone there related to one in the band.Ruined my night again, listening all eve and damn good play list today. What the hell???Just don't get it.Tom Sawyer? Really? Play it every Fucking day, I'm done.Been listening to KQ since 73 for gods sake read more

Once a great morning show full of laughs now it is just embarrassingly horrible! The chemistry is gone thanks to Tommy. I have tried painfully to like the show again and it just is not there anymore. This station went from one of the best in the morning to one of the worst. Thank God for Sirius Radio where I can tune in to Howard Stern in the morning and actually get my laughs again. Even Dave Ryan on 101.3 is bearable compared to the KQ. Doesn't matter how many comedians you put on the show it's not going to change the chemistry when Tommy is in charge. Should have left when the going was good. Now, with the ratings as low as they are, you will be forced out just like the other ones and just like in the past nobody will mention your name ever again. Tommy who? read more

This used to be THE radio station for adults of all ages. EVERYONE listened to the morning show every day. You had to - people talked about it all day long. Always a bunch of laughs - you'd see people laughing in their cars on the way to work. Well, folks - the fans created a monster, and his initials are T.B. He helped make the show what it used to be, but he almost single handedly ruined the show for everyone. But hey, at least he's happy now. Or more likely, forced to pretend he is, so that he doesn't have to admit a huge fail. read more

Gone way down hill. Listened for years but Tom has become more insensitive and small minded. Yet he pretends to "not judge" when the whole time he is criticizing everything everyone else does . Must be nice to get paid a bunch of money to talk like a 15 year old kid. Telling people that being vegan or vegetarian is a scam?! Do your research bud. read more

I listened to the morning show faithfully from 1985 until around 2006 when Barnard finally became so pathetically self-absorbed it was simply too depressing to hang in and wait for a guest interview or some other diversion from his tireless rants. I recently tuned in for a couple of weeks after hearing Zepp was back on the morning show. Barnard hasn't changed, other than trying his best to sound a little more cheerful while he denigrates anyone or any group of people he suspects doesn't share his conservative point of view. Barnard still continuously states he isn't a racist regardless of whatever topic he's on which, most of the time is his thinly veiled promotion of Trump. Even the excellent Brian Zepp can't save this dumpster fire of a show. I'm obviously sick, misinformed, unstable, a "Liberal" (not), need psychological help, can't drive and need to get a life for not liking the reinvented "happy" Barnard's tired rants. Back to satellite permanently for this former listener. read more

Its just not fun anymore. I listened from day one when it was Tom and Dan. I listened for nearly 30 years and had a lot of fun along the way. I so wish Tom and his crew would have just retired when they were on top. Its painful to listen to him now.His laugh and enthusiasm that he tries to show just seems so phony to me now. To be honest though I cant stand any talk shows anymore. I listen almost exclusively to subscribed, commercial free radio. read more

Although KQRS advertises as being a "classic rock" station, they are getting further from it as time goes on. They are more like "streaming the eighties". They insistently play Guns & Roses. Gone are the days when you could commonly hear The Beatles, Stones and The Who, the true pecking order of classic rock. Yes some of the greats like The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd etc. sneak through the programmer's otherwise bad taste, but what about Hendrix, Traffic, Cream.... And then there are the little teasers to keep you listening.... Does anyone really stay tuned just to hear what drummer lied to get his first gig? And now they have the "lost classic week end" with the DJ constantly making an issue out any rock history he can think of. Shut up and play the music and forget the kiddie tunes. read more

The best the TC has to offer. I've been listening to the morning show at work every day for the past 6 or 7 years. Fucking hilarious!!!! Tom Bernard is such a closet racist. I can't believe he gets away with half the stuff he says. Terri Train seems dumber than a rock (which actually makes her funny.) None of the music I like makes it on the radio, not even on Radio K or KFAI, so I just stick to good old classic rock. I enjoy Tom Petty, Steve Miller Band, Doobie Brothers, CCR and Rolling Stones, so it's easy for me to listen to KQ. Sometimes you may even catch a Clash song or two. The play list gets old after a while because even though they have an extensive library of music, they play a lot of the same songs every day. I'm not one for mainstream music, and I hate: New country, Rap (New R&B though it's not rhythym nor blues), NU Metal, Dance Pop, Indie, Emo, and whatever other garbage they play on the radio. So if I have to listen to FM, it's pretty much always KQ. read more

I have listened to kqrs since the 70s and it is a great station except the play pretty much the exact same music they played 30 years ago, anyway they have a contest called the $100 dollar per hour payroll. They called my name in December 2014 and it took until mid February to finally receive my $100. WOW that kind of slow, I am sure many others have had the same problem. read more
