Let me start with the boring stuff before I get to the WOW! The place is spotless. Great care is taken to make sure everything thing is clean, sterile and bright. No worries there. Very chill vibe and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Lastly, being I am a virgin when it comes to tattoos, I was a little nervous and didn't know exactly what to expect. I had pondered a particular design for over 10 years. I happened to meet someone who had multiple tats showing on the subway and asked her out of the clear blue for her opinion. Well it must have been Good Karma. (Not Chappell Roan's Good Karma) Turns out Nicole is a tattoo artist and gave me a better idea for what I had been contemplating. Nicole gave me her card and we exchanged emails going over what came to be my final design. This put me over the edge and decided to pop my tattoo cherry. I booked my appointment with her. She took great care when doing my ink explaining everything as we went through the process. I really didn't find it hurting as other people have said to me when they got theirs. My sweet pup of 14 years passed this year and I knew it was time to get my first tattoo as a memorial piece to him. It has been a very hard few weeks and I knew this was something I really wanted to do so I could see his face everyday forever because he had the best smile. Wow!! What can I say! Went to Tim today at 10 Thousand Foxes Tattoo. Tim has been doing my tattoos for over 15 years! He is a true master !! The tattoo I got today was a long time coming. I was the basketball coach at P.S. 65 in the Bronx for over thirty years! The team won the district championship in 2015. I dreamed of getting this tattoo for so many years and finally Tim made it a reality! Unfortunately one of my players just yesterday was killed in a gang related incident. Jordany was not a gang member but was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was a great point guard and an inspiration to his team. Tim did the basketball team logo on my leg and I couldn't be happier. It is a tribute to Jordany who will be sorely missed! R.I.P ! For Christmas 2021 my boyfriend gave me a $300 gift certificate to this tattoo parlor. He is a client of Tim's, the owner. A few weeks ago I went in for a consultation. I discussed my vision with Tim and another artist, Noah. I wanted to add three shamrocks to a series of three butterflies I had. I made my appointment with Noah. He drew up three four leaf clovers and asked if I would be interested in some red ink in the background. Being that he is an artist I trusted his vision, and my tattoos came out awesome. Rain did this AHMAZING microscopic tat- the details are MIND BLOWING. The crisp lines, the concept, the shading- OMG IT'S EVERYTHING I WANTED AND SHE'S SO FAST. With a little over a year of thought put into what my next tattoo would be, I had finally fell in love with a design that reflects of my biggest passions in life: running. Design decided, all I had left to do was find a place to do it! Enter Body Language Tattoo. Located just a couple blocks from my apartment, I've walked past this relatively new addition to the neighborhood countless times. Each time I would pass by I grew more and more excited about my next ink. I showed up as a walk in and had my consultation right away with one of their artists (in my case, I met with Ben). I showed him my design and we discussed options and cost. Every tattoo is unique, including it's price, so let's just say that this is absolutely not ridiculous East Village tattoo prices. I was very impressed with Body Language's pricing. Ben was ready to go right away, but I opted to head home for a quick bite to eat while my wife helped me sketch out some color and shading ideas (I hadn't thought those completely through before the consult). They just told me to come on back whenever I was ready. Having landed on a shading idea, I took the drawing example back to Ben and he immediately saw what I was going for. As for the color, I found a particular shade of blue that I loved in Ben's portfolio. He informed me that he didn't have that exact color in shop, but could mix a color that would be an extremely close match. He was right, it was spot on! After a complete sterile prep, it was time to begin. The stencil was placed (and replaced when I wanted to move the positioning around a bit) and the needle was fired up. As for pain, look, tattoos hurt. There's no getting around it. For me personally, it was painful, but manageable. This was done on my leg about halfway between knee and ankle. I just distracted myself with some articles and games on my phone and before I knew it, we were done! And I was was completely in love with the final results! LOTS of talented ladies working at this shop! I came in for a bunch of little simple tattoos, and Nasa (who btw, is super adorable and very sweet) took care of me. All the ladies there (to be fair, I'm sure there are guys that work there, but the day I went in, it was all ladies) were super friendly and made me feel so much less nervous. I want to say good things,I went here in February for my sons name and a Usa flag. Huge gouges in my arm and poor work, I wish the Russian girl did my tattoos . The gouges took 2 months to heal. I still think overall this is a good tattoo shop and I have since speaking to ownership recommended people to go here.
