The whole thing is simple and seamless -- exactly what you want when you travel.

We had prearranged a Supershuttle to take us back home. The guy who picked us up started out nice, but quickly showed his true colors shining through. I learned that night that if you want the cheap rate of using Supershuttle, you will be either picking up various customers at various locations before going to the airport. The same can be said if you are going home from the airport. Our driver started getting bitchy and his attitude got worse. He was rude to several passengers and ended up getting lost. One passager wished us the best of luck as she got out of the vichele. She did not tip the guy. A middle finger is what he got. When we finally got to our second home, we did not tip the guy either. When the drive acts like an ass and tell you to "shut the front foor." a royal ass wipping came mind. My short temper remained in tacked, but oh it would have been nice to watch him fly through the air and come down hard upon a bear. The bear would get mad and Jack would get off...okay I am losing sight of what I was talking about. In short, after experiencing what Supershuttle had to offer, we took taxi or used the subway to get to the airport. Never again.

I happened on Dulles Coach Services when they were advertising the DC-New York trip and was relieved to have found a car service that could actually take us to NY on our schedule (and was actually less expensive than taking the train if you're paying for two tickets). Joe was immediately responsive when I first contacted him, and answered all my questions promptly. He was communicative throughout the time I was considering booking the service and offered to do a round-trip on a weekday, since we were only going to be there for a couple of hours at most. He confirmed the night before and texted me when he arrived at our place. He arrived promptly on the day of our trip, and the car was very clean with a sleek, spotless interior. There were a couple of bottles of water and it was clear that the car was kept clean, a relief as my wife is very prone to illness. He kept the car nicely air-conditioned the whole trip, and was very personable. The trip was smooth and even, and we got to New York early even though we hit traffic once we got to Manhattan. The car is very quiet and Joe is a very safe and smooth driver. Joe dropped us off and told us to call or text him when we were done, and he would pick us up. We were done earlier than expected, but Joe left straightaway to pick us up. The ride home was also smooth and quicker than I expected. Overall, the trip went much better than I thought a drive to NY could be. We are definitely going to use them again any time we need to go to NY, and I imagine the service would be just as excellent for shorter trips, like airport drop-offs and pick-ups and anything else. The trip to NY in Joe's sedan is much, much better than any train trip or plane ride to NY I've ever taken, much more comfortable and much cleaner. Joe is very professional, kind, and the business is run very professionally. We look forward to using them in the future and hope more people use their services, as they are certainly the best and most reasonably priced service for value that we've encountered in this area.

However, the next morning: 1) The driver did not know where I wanted to go, despite my having entered that information on the Yellow Cab website the night before. 2) The driver was not prepared for me to pay with a credit card, and in fact could only accept cash. Unfortunately, that meant that the driver received only $1.50 tip (which is fitting, really, when you think about it. Poor drivers shouldn't be rewarded with a big tip.)
