Most of the reviews on here are for John who doesn't even work on the cars anymore, I was told he just comes in once in a while to collect the cash, I'm assuming he's the shop owner but is never around. If you do need some repairs done on your car Ralph will most likely help you. He's a super nice guy and gets the job done. But I cannot say the same about the parts they use... apparently they are genuine parts but I'm not sure if they really are using "genuine" original parts. I stopped taking my car here because I found a new mechanic that is super honest and shows me the actual invoice they get from the place they order parts from and I can see on the invoice they are genuine parts from the dealerships. The invoices that 1 stop auto offers looks like it was just typed up from an excel sheet with no real proof the parts are genuine. And they are horrible at keeping track on what service was already done to your vehicle because I was told something needed to be replaced but was already replace previously until I mentioned it to them... very questionable indeed. That was one of the last straws and why I left this place behind. Also this place says they accept cards but when you try to pay with a card, it's suddenly cash only... very questionable again, so I guess just have both forms of payment on hand... read more

I don't know how I ended up here. My mom has always recommended random spots, and then she found this one that I've stuck with for the past few years for all my vehicle services. John has always been honest, respectful, and very professional with us. He gets us quality parts for our cars and is very knowledgeable with his work. Ralph always takes good care of me too, and I can tell that he is very thorough with getting the work done. The ABS light came on in my Scion TC recently. I took it to Midas and they wanted $105 to diagnose the problem. Needless to say, I turned around a walked out the door. I then proceeded to go to a familiar mechanic only to find out that he had re-located his shop. Since I didn't have his new address I decided to go on Yelp and rely on fellow Yelpers. Once again, another great experience going with the highest rating mechanic in the are with a decent mount of ratings. When I arrived, John immediately approached me to ask me what I needed. I explained to him that my ABS light had come on recently. He plugged my car into his computer to read the code messages. Pretty quickly he diagnosed the issue and quoted me a price of $160 and timeframe of two hours. Conveniently, my parent lived nearby so I ended up grabbing some lunch with my parents while I waited. When I returned after lunch, I found my car parked outside in their parking lot ready to go. Needless to say, since I was working with a $105 cost for Midas to simply to diagnose the problem, I am thrilled to have my car problem disappear, while I had lunch with my parents, for just $55 above the cost that Midas wanted to simply diagnose my problem. read more

Here for an oil change. No wait whatsoever. I came in after work on Tuesday. It took about 25 minutes. Relaxed on the sofa while I waited. Extremely fast service. Got an oil change. John suggested synthetic since it's better for car engines. My drive is much smoother. I can feel the difference. Thank you again, John! Back because I have a nail in my tire. Quick fix. It's hard finding a mechanic/technician who is trustworthy and won't break the bank. 1 Stop Auto is that place. Dealers always oversell and make you pay tons more. Mom and pop auto shops are sometimes hit and miss with their quality and deals. John is very well trained and charges less for everything but he does a great job. Honest auto shop. 1 Stop Auto Services was referred to by a coworker-friend three years ago when I had a serious problem with my car. Ralph was able to properly diagnose my car and fixed the issue at a very fair price point. He'll break down the prices and let you decide what you want to move forward with. He's very matter of fact, which I highly appreciate because he's just trying to fix the car and not trying to sell you on other minor issues you needn't worry about. I gave this place a try because it was 2 minutes from where i live and it has great reviews. gave this place a call to see if they can fix my ABS light. Very nice man on the phone, and he asked me to bring in my car so he can take a look. When I got to the shop, a different person than the one I spoke to on the phone helped me. He put the reader in my car and wasn't sure what the situation is. He said Ralph wasn't here to address the issue, so I would have to wait. We decided that I would leave and for them to give me a call back to give me an update on my car situation. I waited, and got a text later on for my model and year of my car but nothing after. I never got any updates on my car and it has been 2 days now, still no update or call of what they could do. If they could not help me address the issue or if they were unable to order me a part, I think a response would of been nice to let me know and not keep me waiting. read more

So our daughter purchased a car from the owner of this shop. Seemed like a trustworthy guy. Even drove far just to check out the car twice. My daughter liked it. Keep in mind she saved up for this car. We decided to go for it. When this guy told us to do the paperwork inside his office, he didnt have a pink slip. It was a title transfer still with the previous owner's name. We were skeptical but decided to trust him since he seemed trustworthy. He told us all fees were paid. Come dmv time for my daughter, had issues with transfer of title. More fees to be paid. Had to be processed from sacramento etc etc. At this point, my daughter is totally broke. DMV told us that there are fees owed and that someone tried to register the car but didnt go through with it because they didnt wanna pay the fees. This shop owner lied. I messaged him back and he would not acknowledge. He said he didnt know about the fees yet dmv told us. Screwed us over and to be told by DMV that this is illegal. So i learned about TITLE JUMPING. This guy did something fraudulent called title jumping. And competely knew about it since he told us at the time of sale not to mention him. We were told to report it. So just be aware that honesty doesnt exist from this owner. I am beyond disgusted with this type of act for someone who even had his little daughter there at the time of sale. read more

I went to this shop to get my Honda Prelude fixed, it had a weird idling issue which caused weird rumbling problem when stopped. John immediately knew that it was a valve problem, and got a compression test done. The compression test failed even after a valve readjustment and said that I'll need my engine head rebuilt which would have been costly. He gave me a time estimate (which he repaired before the time estimate) and told me he'd replace all the gaskets, timing belt and water pump for a really low price since the head was going to be off anyways. Timing belt and water pump would have costed me easily $500 but did it at a fraction of that price. In the time I was waiting for the car, John had been very communicative, sending me pictures of the valves that were bent and sending me constant updates on my car. All in all after researching what I could have paid for a head rebuild + timing belt/water pump replacement, I would have paid nearly 1.5x the price. Got my car much quicker than expected, gave me a warranty and my car was running like it was brand new. John and Ralph have been extremely nice and honest, and weren't pushy to upsell anything else. I would highly recommend these guys if you're looking for a trustworthy mechanic. read more
