I have had my vehicle in their body shop on three different occasions. All three were accidents that weren't my fault. After one of the several day stints in the body shop, they called me and told me the vehicle was finished and ready for pick up. I live nearby so I hurried to pick it up because I needed to pick up my grandchildren from daycare. I asked both the service guy and receptionist exactly when I would be getting it, informing them that I needed to pick up my grandchildren. I was told it would be out front in a few minutes. I waited and waited and waited and kept asking where the vehicle was. At one point, the front desk person told me they were washing it. I asked why did you call me and say that it was ready for pick up when it wasn't? No answer. I explained AGAIN that I had to pick up my grandchildren from daycare. They kept saying just a few minutes. In all, I waited over an hour for my vehicle that was "ready to pick up." Finally, if I hadn't left at that point, I wouldn't have been able to pick up my grandchildren at their release time. So I was forced to leave without my vehicle and had to return the next day to pick up my car. My complaint is do NOT tell your customer your vehicle is ready for pick up when IT IS NOT! Call when it's actually done. It was very irritating, and in my estimation, poor customer service. On a positive note, the body work was well done. read more

I am still in shock that this happened to me - I was hit by another driver and took my car to Cochran Collision to get it fixed. First of all, they send you TEXT AFTER TEXT AFTER TEXT "we're working on your car", "we are close to wrapping things up with your car" etc etc then they give you a date that your car will be finished. ON THAT DATE - CRICKETS - no message confirming my car is done, no nothing - they send you a gazillion texts LEADING UP TO IT BEING FINISHED, send you a date that it will be finished, then that date arrives and no texts, no nothing! Thank GOD i said "maybe i should call first even though they said the car would be ready today" WELL, THANK GOD I CALLED FIRST BECAUSE IT WASN'T READY UNTIL THE FOLLOWING WEEK. You guys can send text after text with stupid useless updates "we're getting closer to completion!" and then the day it's supposed to be done .. NADA. Again, thank god i called - i had to call TWICE for two ALLEGED "your car will be completed on such and such date" and both times my car wasn't ready. But there's more! ha! So, I had a large suitcase in my car and when i picked up my car, got home, looked for my suitcase - it wasn't in there. Every other item that was in my car/trunk was there EXCEPT MY LARGE SUITCASE - i called and they simply said ... "Oh, the mechanic working on your car forgot to put it back in" i said "I WORK 8-5PM M-F AND YOUR HOURS ARE 8-5PM M-F!!! I CAN'T VENTURE BACK OUT THERE TO GET MY SUITCASE THAT YOU GUYS FORGOT TO PUT BACK!!" I then asked if someone could fed-ex it or bring it to me because i shouldn't have to VENTURE ALL THE WAY BACK TO MONROEVILLE FOR MY SUITCASE THAT YOU GUYS FORGOT TO PUT BACK IN MY CAR!!!! They said "The manager said that it's not our responsibility to bring you your suitcase or fed-ex it - it's just not in our policy". I wanted to say "oh i get it - it's your policy, though, to remove items from people's cars and not put them back in and have the customer drive back out here to get said items.. gotcha." (but of course i didn't say that). I drove all the way back out there to get my suitcase. The only great part was the girl working at the front desk - i wish i knew her name - she was willing to DRIVE IT TO ME (she told me this on the phone) but the manager said "no driving it to the customer and no fed-exing" Blah. How bout put items back in the customer's cars when you take them out? How's that sound? read more

What an absolute joke of a business. How on earth did you guys get Tesla certified? I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure Tesla drops you guys. After getting my car back from Body by Cochran my autopilot was actually trying to run down other cars. All autopilot safely features were disabled including having to hold the wheel while in autopilot. I have shown Tesla all my video footage of these incidents. Management is a complete joke as well. They walk away from customers after blaming then for shoddy workmanship. DO NOT TAKE YOUR TESLA HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! read more

They had my vehicle for three weeks, and when I picked it up, there was dirt in the paint, and even a chip in the paint in which they sprayed the clear coat over. The microphone on the windshield wasn't fully reassembled when I received the car back, and they damaged the inner pillar when removing the cover to remove the windshield. I'm assuming they don't have any quality assurance, or they would have never delivered the vehicle to me in that state. I am currently waiting for them to complete the repaint. UPDATE: They repainted my car for the second time, taking another three weeks to do so. It looks like they sprayed a thin layer of white over the chip (so light it didn't even fill the chip in) and then the clear coat. On another part of the hood the paint is cracking under the clear coat, so I need to go back for a third time tomorrow. I received zero communication from Body by Cochran, but the Service Department at #1 Cochran Hyundai called to let me know it was finished. read more

I wish I hadn't had to visit this auto repair/body shop but, alas, I've finally become a true Pennsylvanian by hitting my first deer with my car. I'm ok and the car really suffered the least amount of damage possible considering the speed with which I struck the deer. The deer --- not as fortunate, sadly. My insurance company, State Farm, has a relationship with this auto repair/body shop in which they each work it out with one another on the repair estimate and billing plus it's very convenient to where I live so I opted to take my car here for the required repairs. I am very pleased. 1) Rob was my contact person and was very informative on about how many days it would take, the estimate, and getting me the appointment when parts came in. 2) The final bill was pretty close to the initial estimate -- a few other minor things were found to be needed. 3) The time away from my car was pretty close to the initial estimate -- parts came in later than expected throwing the time off by a day. 4) The entire staff was very pleasant to work with. 5) Efficiency, Efficiency, Efficiency! -- paperwork for me to sign was as minimal as you can get, time necessary to drop the car off and pick it up was the least amount of time you can expect. 6) Oh, and efficiency? Enterprise car rental is on-site and, again, has a relationship with my insurance company, Sate Farm, so, again, in and out in a flash with very minimal paperwork in the end. John was my contact person and was very helpful. I'm reviewing the Enterprise transaction here because it looks as if Enterprise does not list this as a general Enterprise rental place. Perhaps then it is only available to clients of Cochran Collision center. My only beef: the selection of autos available to rent were high-end and big models. I was given a choice of 3 vehicles -- a Cadillac big car, and Audi big car, and a Buick big car. They said they had a Ford Focus but it needed maintenance. I selected the big Cadillac and it was a nice car with only 250 miles logged on it before I added my own. But, it's not my car of choice for model or size and would not fit in my garage. My real beef about this is that is would certainly have the appearance that Enterprise stocks the line of cars it does because, after all, most people at a collision shop have insurance. You see where I'm going with this. Not nice. Ya need some compact cars, Enterprise....geez. I would say I'll be back but I really hope not to have a need, all things considered! read more

Got in an auto accident in January. Brought my vehicle to Cochran and they said it would be a couple months for parts and to get me in to their schedule. I figured I would wait because they have done good work in the past. Fast forward two months and they have had my car for over a week and every time I call I get the same answer "we will have your car done tomorrow" I'm sick of getting jerked around. It took me getting angry with two seperate managers over the course of three hours for them to finally tell me they were "going to get a piece of auto glass reinstalled and the car cleaned for me by tomorrow morning" Meanwhile I have only one vehicle between two working people. I still don't know if my car will be ready tomorrow or not. Worst experience of my life. Will never go back or even go to any other Cochran business read more

I want to share an amazing experience about the staff at the collision auto body. My service technician was chris and he was very professional and accommodating . A deer hit my vehicle and chris was very prompt in returning my phone calls and returning my vehicle as soon as possible. He offered compensation because my vehicle was done although he wasn't comfortable returning it to me due to quality assurance safety checks that needed done. He definitely went above and beyond my expectations, he made my unfortunate situation a positive experience. I highly recommend the collision service staff for kind and accurate service. read more

My only regret with this review is that I didn't think to post it earlier. In early 2012, I graduated college and was moving to the Greater Pittsburgh area for my first "big girl job". The day I moved, I hit black ice and wrecked my 2007 Subaru Impreza into a ditch. It sustained extensive front end damage and AAA recommended I take my vehicle to Cochran Collision Center. It took over a week for them to make the repairs to the vehicle. Despite having an appointment to pick my Subaru up, I waited over an hour in the waiting room. When someone finally came to show me to my car the front end looked great. However, now it also had back end damage. It was very evident by the white paint scrapes and a large dent, that someone had hit the rear driver's side bumper. The gentleman that escorted me to my vehicle insisted it was there when it was delivered to Cochran. He continued to insult me saying it was my fault, since I only gave them permission to fix the front end damage. He then began pressuring me to come inside and sign the paperwork. I was never in an accident with another vehicle. He was clearly insulting my intelligence. In the end, I requested they take a look at the pictures they took when my vehicle was dropped off. He eventually came back and informed me I was indeed correct and the damage had occurred while my car was on their lot. After almost another week, they fixed my car for the second time. On their bill. Fast forward to why I decided to write this review now. My car was again, hit while parked in a parking lot. So, I took the car to be repaired. The damage was on that same rear driver's side bumper. The body shop repairman not only immediately noticed it had previously been repaired but commented that it was "some of the worst bodywork he'd ever seen." He explained that it had never been repaired to the correct standards. I still to this day feel that Cochran Collision was taking advantage of me. If I would have agreed to sign the paperwork and had left their lot, they never would have been held accountable. Looking back the way they treated me still angers me. I don't trust them and I truly hope you won't either. Update: I think the more insulting thing is they basically mocked me in messages after writing this post. Sorry Cochran, but you're terrible business people and can't ever "make things right". read more

When our Buick Enclave was rear ended, the contracted tow truck driver wanted to take it to his shop. Instead I used my AAA to take it to a certified GM repair center, and Cochran has a LIFETIME WARRANTY! Well that lifetime warrant doesn't cover: Rust, it doesn't cover the lift gate switch, it doesn't cover the back up camera, it doesn't cover the reverse lights. I'm left wondering what exactly is covered under their lifetime warranty. Oh and they only charged us $116.00 to determine nothing was covered. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Easily the worst experience I've ever had. Do NOT go here. My car got tons of hail damage a couple of months ago so I brought it in. They determined that the best fix would be to replace my hood and pound out the other dents. shouldn't take too long, right? It's been over a month and a half since they had me drop it off and I still don't have my car back. I've called multiple times to see what is taking so long and always get the runaround. I am extremely disappointed it is taking so long and I hope they don't mess up and cause me to have to go back. (For reference, my neighbor with the exact same hail damage had his car fixed in 9 days at a different shop.) I hope that I never have to deal with these people again. I have had body work done on my car here several times. The employees at the desk and the repair personnel are very friendly and pleasant in person, and so far I have no complaints about the work itself. They also did a nice job of cleaning the car up for me afterwards. However, the customer service on the phone is appalling and the scheduling is a nightmare. I had to call several times to get scheduled to actually have the work done. I would always be redirected from person to person before finally leaving a message asking to be called back, never to receive a call. Eventually I had to get short with the receptionist, which I hate to do, and complain about the service. They then scheduled me for a couple days later. I am convinced that was the only way I was ever going get scheduled. The first few times I used Cochran were not as bad but it was still a hassle. Sadly, I found the latest experience so drawn out and stressful that I would be very reluctant to use them again. read more

Being in the insurance biz, I have the opportunity to send a lot of business for accidents to various locations. I chose to recommend Body by Cochran which is an approved shop for my biz. They also personally take care that f my cars. Having 3 kids drive, you know there will be accidents & Cochran has gone above & beyond especially the most recent with my daughter having an accident & then leaving to drive to college 10 days later. I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. Our car was towed there after a deer accident. The only thing it needed was a new windshield and a dent taken out. That itself took longer than it should have. We brought the car home, o my to have it not start on us. The collision center told us to buy a new battery and put it in, which we did. The car worked...fOr 2 days. Took it back into Cochran for them to figure out what was going on. Mind you, the only problem with the car was the windshield. Everything was running perfectly before they touched the car. They said something was draining the battery but they couldn't figure out what, so they towed it to Kia in Monroeville. Cochran was done with it because they got paid from our insurance company. Long story short, it's been a month and a half and we still do not have a running car. Kia is thinkIng Cochran did something during the repair that is draining the battery. Both places want to wipe their hands and say NOT ME, and neither place is willing to give a rental because they're too busy blaming the other. Very unhappy. Take your car elsewhere, or you may get your car back in worse shape than it was when it went in! read more

This collision center has made me never ever want to buy another car from Cochran again! I was in a accident in early December, I did not receive the quote until mid to late January. I then didn't receive the fixed car until March. When I received the car back the trim was all wrong the heater did not work and one headlight did not work and today I found out the windshield wiper fluid container leaks. To top it off no one would return my phone calls and they were completely unprofessional. I will never recommend Cochran to anyone because of this experience. I have had to shell out money from my own pockets to fix their mistakes because I am exhausted from trying to get my car fixed. read more

Just had my Mazda 3 repaired at Cochran. From first contact by phone through the estimate and finally the body repair to my car this was a top notch experience. Everything was done as promised and on time. The added bonus of Enterprise Rent a Car having a desk in the office made this even more trouble free. I truly hope I don't need Cochran's services again but if I do I would have no issue using them in the future. read more

This is the worst place to take your car to! I cannot emphasize enough how awful their service is. We had a collision with a deer and it took them a month and a half to fix our car. They promised us that it would be done two weeks before they actually finished it and even then when I came to pick it up it was still full of glass and had to be taken back to be vacuumed out TWICE! And our car is still full of glass! The customer service is beyond awful, they are next to impossible to get ahold of, consistently gave incorrect information, and in general seemed to have no clue what was going on with our car. I will never go back to this completely incompetent body shop! read more

This review is for the Sleepy Hollow Rd. location. They have not delivered my vehicle by the date promised and it has been with them for over a month. They have told me that it will be another week at this point. When I called them today, the person that has been overseeing the repair of my vehicle had to look it up to see if the parts had arrived. The parts had arrived, but no work had been started. They have shown no immediacy and the communication I've received from them has been terrible. I've emailed or called them on multiple occasions and have been ignored. When I do get in touch with them they keep saying that they'll "do their best", but their best is severely lacking. I do not appreciate the delay or the additional rental car expense that this will cost me. Won't go back. read more

I was in a car accident and had my car towed to AL motors, because their body shop was down my insurance told me they would coordinate with 1# Cochran who would get my vechicle from them and start the work. 4 days later I get a call from AL who NEVER received a call from Cochran's body shop to get my vehicle. I spoke to a Holly who stated she had tried to call me multiple times becuase AL had told her they need me to release my car over to them. EVERY word of that was a lie. She called once the day it happened and never left a message, I even called att to confirm phone records and even though I told her this and that she was lying to me about leaving a message she then stated she had tried to call earlier that day. ANOTHER lie, I called my insurance as work was to be started 4 days prior and they called over to Holly to see why she never left a message with the us to get the vechicle she THEN right before my insurance agent transferred me over she called and left a message then got on the phone with me and told me she had tried several times to get a hold of me?! You called one time never left a message 4 days prior and it took my insurance agent contacting you to try again one minute prior to me getting transferred over. You also NEVER spoke to any AL representative to even attempt to get my vehicle in 4 days. It would be one thing to own up to not caring enough to try and get my vehicle besides one phone call with no voicemail left days prior but to continuously lie about the situation to the point I had to pull phone records is ridiculous. I'll be telling my insurance company not to using this body shop as one if there "preferred" shops anymore. read more

Both my husband and I had negative experiences here. First, I was hit by someone and had to have my car repaired.... i went to pick it up and found a scratch on a door that wasnt there before, that they caused while fixing the bumper. No big deal, things happen and they promised to fix it... so I had to bring it back 2 weeks later to have that repaired. I left work early to get there to pick it up, and a scratch is STILL there on the door that they just repaired. I had to leave it there only to return again 2 days later to pick it up, and they still had to buff something out while I waited. I was willing to laugh that off and chalk it up to a fluke, but 2 weeks later my husband takes his truck in to be fixed after someone hit him as well. He asked for his door to be repaired while it was in there and they said they would do it, no problem. He went to pick it up when they said it was done, and sure enough, the door wasnt fixed. Now he has to make arrangements to bring it back, again, to have it fixed and this time he wont have a rental and will need to make arrangements for a ride and inconvenience someone else. This place is totally unorganized and inconvenient. Considering the only two experiences we had with them were terrible and included 3 additional trips there that shouldnt have been made, I dont think its actually a fluke anymore read more
