We had new siding, and gutters installed on our house in April 2022. Additionally, they removed the…read morebathroom window, which was in the middle of the shower, and framed it out in order for me to tile over it on the inside, and for them to put siding over it on the outside. Every interaction we had with the company was positive. From the salesman, to the office staff, to the installers every interaction was positive. After contracting with them, I had several phone conversations with them about color changes that my wife wanted, and they were always willing to accommodate us, and make the requested changes. There was a slight misunderstanding about the bathroom window on the day they showed up to begin the job but a phone call to the office quickly resolved the issue, and things progressed as planned. The workers were polite, and they treated our property with care & respect. Once the job was complete, they walked the perimeter of our house and garage with magnets to pick up loose pieces of metal, and any other debris that was laying around. Overall, their cleanup was on point. We've received a number of compliments from our neighbors on the work that was completed, and one of our neighbors contracted with Modern Xterior/The Modern Pros as a result of the work they did on our house. It's now been a year since the work was completed, and everything is holding together nicely, and still looks great! Very poor workmanship. My roof is less than a year old and needs to once again be replaced…read moreentirely. The problem with my old roof was there was poor ventilation. The soffit vents were painted shut and there was never enough. They tried to install new vents over the top of the old painted shut vents without first cutting a hole for air to pass through. The front of my home has no soffit venting. The roofing was done in the rain that included new plywood decking. The insulation got saturated and is now growing mold. I have water damage to the ceilings in most of the house. Come to find out, they installed a box vent for the bathroom fan where there is supposed to have a dampened vent that opens and closes. The crew decided to walk on my patio awning and its dented and damaged. Estimates to do the repairs are around $60,000.00. I emailed the owner and asked him to file an insurance claim to get this taken care of but several weeks have passed and I have not heard from anyone yet. I'm in the process of filling a complaint with the State of Michigan Licensing and Regulatory Affairs to revoke their license until resolved.

Fred was very easy to work with and the crew he sent out was fabulous. I am VERY picky about the details and I think the lead installer was as picky as I was which is very rare. He cut not only a new piece of glass but also a new wooden stopper that was a very close match to our previous one. ASR was the only one that could answer all our questions-though we only learned the questions by talking to a bunch of people. My property was actually cleaner when they left. The house feels so tight now, looks great. One thing they don't tell you, it is LOUD, especially in a ranch.

I wasn't told how to prepare for the day of the roof installation and one of the owners blamed me for the mess that was left inside my garage. The crew dented and ripped the logo off the air conditioning unit after indiscriminately throwing materials off the roof and my concerns were dismissed as a minor inconvenience and were never addressed.
