I have never used a junk service or moving service so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was in a bit of a time crunch with moving and needed a few big items taken care of. I called them day of and they were able to fit me in within the next five hours. They came and were super nice and friendly. They looked at all of my stuff and gave me an estimate super quick, no extra fees attached. They grabbed all of my stuff and were in-and-out within 30 minutes. Super easy! They were really great to work with and the best while I was in a pinch. While it is a bit pricey, it is definitely worth it and is great for same day moving. read more

they wasted my entire day. I had an appointment between 9 to 11 AM and they couldn't make it so I changed it from 12 to 2 PM and they couldn't make it. I own many homes in Hamilton Ohio and will never use them again. This is like the third time they have screwed me over. Must be poor management. read more

We hired 800GotJunk to remove junk from bedroom and garage at my parents house. I setup the service a few weeks in advance so we could get everything together, called the day before to explain rates with delivery window between 1-3pm. The day of Zachary called to say they had one more pick up before us, and his expected arrival time at 2:30pm. Zachary & Isaac arrived at that time, showed them what needed to be removed gave the quote. I gave them the approval and they started working. They had everything cleaned out an hour later they were very professional, friendly and welcoming. We ended up filling the entire truck. Thanks for taking care of us. read more

It's my first time using this service ever. We needed them to love a sofa from an assisted living facility for us and dispose of it. We first were going to call Rumpke and they were not available until July 10th. 1800 Got Junk was available within hours of our call and saved the day! I'll be using their service again! And I would highly recommend! read more

Jamie was great. She has a great customer service voice for starters, I thought that she was a pre-recorded message until we spoke on the phone live! (this is a great thing!) The team was very quick and efficient with getting my king size mattress removed from the curb when Rumpke failed to take it because some of the plastic came off from the heavy winds. They give great rates and discounts for having it already to the curb for easy deliverance. Highly recommended company. read more

1-800-GOT-JUNK? Cincinnati - Junk Removal & Hauling Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Once they show up to your door, the price goes way up. It told me 325 to remove a piano and when they show up the price goes up another $175 to $500. bucks. it seemed like it's common practice for one 800 junk to increase the price once they show up at your door. read more

They were nice. I didn't know going cost money to move my furniture out. I wish told me ahead of time

This is i an easy efficient way to get rid of things you no longer want or need. The workers were on time, polite and took everything away. It seems to be a very professional organization. I was told what it would cost and the choice was mine to make. I would use them again when I need things removed from my home. Thanks for the help. read more

I have to say the 2 men who came were extremely polite and deserve 5 stars! The reason I am only giving 3 stars is purely for the price - I had 2 treadmills they picked up that were broken. I was shocked when they said $195 after it took them 5 minutes to load them into the truck. I was thinking it would be half of that. I understand the business needs to make a profit but wow I would have called Rumpke instead and paid them $50 to do the same had I known. I won't be using them again because of the cost. read more

Let's get this out of the way first... the workers were A+. Extremely nice folks that came and helped take my stuff away. Very friendly, very professional. Now, as far as the actual service goes... I explained on no more than 3 separate occasions the amount of stuff I had to get rid of. A massive wooden deck that we had just demoed, some stone pavers, a wooden fort (child's playhouse) and a demoed above ground pool. Each time I explained, there was never any doubt given that the truck they would send wouldn't be able to handle the job. These trucks are massively tiny. Completed undersized and over priced. They managed to "fill-up" their truck, they didn't pack it in at all. I'd imagine they could have gotten a lot more wood in the truck, had they put a little extra effort into packing it in. For the $550 that I gave them, completely and 100% dissatisfied. I still have to rent another dumpster and do the rest of the work myself. Lesson learned! I'm not trying to hate on the company, they did get some of my junk out of my yard, but knowing well ahead of time the amount of junk I had, I don't know, I guess I just expected more for the price I paid. Rent a dumpster on your own and do the work yourself. read more

I've used 1-800-GOT-JUNK's services in multiple cities as a part of my work. They have always been professional, courteous and most of all on time. This appointment had to be moved around a few times due to my changing schedule and because of some bad weather Cincy had while I was in town. I spoke with Cliff and John from the local office and they worked with me to lock in new appointment windows (they work in 2 hour time windows). The two guys who came to do the job were professional and careful not to damage any walls or doors while removing the junk. Prices vary by region and office, but the price structure is always clearly explained by the guys before any work begins. The trucks are on the small side but this company literally does everything from removing the excess junk to making sure it gets disposed of and recycled. They accept credit card and booking is all a very easy process. read more

After a recent long distance move I found myself with a few pieces of IKEA junk that needed to be removed from my home. After a quick search online I found 1-800 Got Junk. I setup an appointment online quickly and easily and presto I was done. Setup was easy and hassle free. When the day came for the junk removal, they were just as fantastic. The gentlemen who came to pickup the goods used shoe covers, to make sure they weren't bringing in a bunch of dirt and gravel. Overall they were very considerate of my home and me. They truely made things easy! That being said, you might be wondering why the -1 star. Overall while they were great, I felt that they were a little pricey. I found a $10 coupon off online, but still I think $30 or $40 less would have sealed that 5th star for me. read more

Packrats like me need I-800-GOT-JUNK to get them motivated and also because some stuff is too heavy to lift. They have clean cut professional crews that get the job done fast. No time wasted , out it goes onto the truck. And the funny part is that you won't miss all those boxes of "stuff" you've been saving to go through "someday". Or items you mean to fix or giveaway someday.... BONUS: More living or work space for you and decluttering is emotionally rewarding to let go of spacetaking junk. I would highly recommend them;they have seen WORSE so don't knock yourself out trying to get ready for them. Just point and "Poof", you are free of it! **I am leery of ads like Craiglist. These guys at 1-800-GOT-JUNK are checked out and bonded so no creeps who may come back univited to rob you. read more

This service did not work for me. They called within their 2 hour window of time to tell me their arrival time. After I got to the house to meet them, they called back to say they were running late. I agreed to wait an hour. After an hour they called back again and wanted to push time back another hour to 90 mins which I could not do. The original window was 3-5, the first set arrival time was 5, pushed back to 6, then asked to push back to 7-7:30. We agreed to try again the next day with a firm time, but the same thing happened. They called at the agreed upon time and needed to push back the time again. read more

This was my second time to use this company. They are one of the best companies around and I would recommend them to everyone! These two young men arrived looking so professional and polite! They took everything away that I asked and even tidied up! My team was Brian and Java's !! read more

While they do their job of removing junk, the TWO separate occasions I've used them has been frustrating. I told them the first time, September or so of last year, that I had a large deep freezer and old fridge, along with a ton of other little things that needed to go. Two college kids, male and female, show up and don't have a dolly to haul the big stuff from the basement! They said "the tire popped" on it. Fast forward to today when, after calling 2 weeks ago and saying "we have a HUGE deep freeze and fridge that need to go, we need strong adults," and being assured we'd get that, two people show up again - without a dolly because "the wheel popped!" So it sounds like that company either owns only 1 dolly, or they only own 1 excuse. They also had to go get another crew to do the job. It's like they don't value my time or come prepared. It's a junk removal business. I'm disappointed that two separate times they show up without junk removal equipment. From now on I'll just get friends to help me and save $1000 bucks. read more

I recently used this junk removal company to assist me in getting rid of items from an empty home. Mattress and box spring sets are difficult to get rid of since the bedbug crisis. They took them and they are licensed to dispose of them. That is a huge help. They also took other miscellaneous items as well. They are efficient and on time. They are neat both in appearance and work. I was very impressed. They gave me time to look around and see if there was anything that I missed during our first walk through. Upon their arrival, they walk through with you while you point out what they are to take. Then they give you an estimate based on "eyeballing" the junk. They charge by the amount of space you take up in their truck. They give you a high end of low end of an estimate. Happily, my junk could be compacted down to a space costing me less than the original low end of the estimate. I would use this service again, I was very satisfied. read more

I am responding to the post that was written by the local 1-800-Got-Junk office here in Cincinnati. I think it is great that they donate to local agencies. I know for a fact that they do sell some items that they have been paid to pick up cause as I mentioned a friend of mine bought something from the local Sharonville office. I am not saying at all that they are not nice people with good customer service skills. I am just pointing out the fact that they do sell items that they do get from their customers homes. This is very dishonest!!! My friend bought something and I know for a fact at one time they had a upright piano for sale at their Sharonville office. They do sell items. If they indeed donate items that is great we should all give back one way or another. As I stated my friend did purchase something from the local office and she told a friend of hers and they also bought something, the piano..... They can deny this all they want. I have seen the proof. My friends would not and have no reason to lie to me at all. Like I said, this is double dipping. If you are a consumer think where they go with the big items that they are paid to remove from others homes. I volunteer at one of the organizations that the owner mentioned that they make donations to and we have never received anything worth wild from them at all. Like I said, if you want to do business with them go ahead. If you want to get rid of items and make sure that someone else can use them who needs them call one of the local charities and they will pick up your items and not charge you. St. Vincent DePaul just came to my home yesterday and picked up a old stove, and two boxes of house hold items. Also the resell store through Habitat for Humanity is also a good one too. These organizations do a lot of good in the community. Give your items to these organizations don't pay someone to pick them up when there is no guarantee that they are going to be giving it to one of these worth wild organizations. read more

We're getting ready to move out of state and had a lot of stuff to get rid of... beat up furniture, old rugs, broken things, boxes, bags, trash, junk, etc. We decided to try 1-800-GOT-JUNK here in Dayton, OH. They were PHENOMENAL! We couldn't be happier with their service. We arranged the appointment over the phone and the guy who booked it told us how their pricing works up front, but explained the actual quote would be given once the guys were here and did a visual estimate. You basically pay for the amount of space your stuff takes up in the truck. We had an appointment window of 3-5pm on Saturday, but this is nothing like the cable company. They called at 2:30 as scheduled to let us know exactly when they'd be here. They gave us a 3:45-4:15 window and arrived on time at 4pm. Joe and James were GREAT. Very nice, personable and professional. I showed them what we needed to take away and they pulled out the pricing sheet and told me what range it'd likely fall in with a bit of a buffer in case they were wrong. We agreed with that estimate and they proceeded to load up. They got everything we wanted out of our second floor apartment and onto their truck in about 30 minutes... which was 5/8th of a truck, so they were VERY efficient. They also were very neat... they took care not to scrape up the walls or anything on the way out. When they were done they showed me how everything fit in the truck and it was the higher end of the estimate, but that's because we tacked on a few odds and ends from the garage as well. The amount of space we used is what we were charged... they weren't trying to up-charge at all. We paid by check, and got a receipt in quick order. All in all this was a GREAT experience. The company itself probably is over-charging you for the service, but the convenience and their employees more than make up for this in my opinion. They should probably pay their folks more if they're all as good as these guys were. Thanks, James and Joe!! read more

Had a team (Kyle and Danny) come out and get everything (and then some) out of my house/garage within an hour! They were kind, patient of my lack of prep work, quick and didn't scratch up or mark anything! I think the pricing is quite fair... especially since there is no way I am removing any of that on my own!! Thanks again! read more

Great experience. James and Solomon were friendly and very fast. They did a terrific job, would definitely use them again.

Got junk is junk! I was given a quote n when they showed up they said it was incorrect and it was going to cost me another $100 plus a disposal fee. Then they tried to get me to sign a liability waiver for any damages they might cause. After I said no they moved 1 piece to the bottom of basement stairs and then told me it was late in the day and they couldn't move the piece up the stairs (worn out). They put it back where they got it from but totally wasted my time. Customer service was going to waive the additional charges and told me I would receive a call from the local office plus the customer service rep would call me back. So far no call. This company is a total SCAM!!!!! N n read more

1-800 Got Junk was the answer to my basement prayers. Two friendly and strong fellows- Josh and Phil, carried an entire truckload of stuff out of my basement and into their truck in about an hour. The were courteous, efficient and very professional and gave me an estimate before getting started. They also have a St. Vincent DePaul truck on their site, and will donate usable items to charity for you. I highly recommend them. read more

I do not recommend. I was given a 9 to 11 AM window for pickup. I rec'd my first phone call at 8:11 AM where I was given a 9:15 to 9:30 arrival/pick-up time. 8:50 AM they phoned and said change of plans it will be 10 to 1030 AM. At 10:47 AM (17 min after expected arrival) they called and said 11:30 to 11:45 AM arrival. At 1230 PM I called them and I was told they were 20 minutes away. They arrived at 1:00 PM -- 4 hours after the original arrival time I was given on the first phone call. Also on the last phone call they made to me I was told I was to receive $25 discount for the delay. When they arrived I showed them a coupon and was given an estimate and told it would be $50 off ($25 for the coupon and $25 discount for the 4 hour delay). After everything was loaded they would only give me the $25 off. They only positive is the three gentlemen were polite, friendly and conscientious about getting furniture out of the home without damaging the home. Do not use this service. read more
