WE have been anticipating trying this place out for a while and this is a review based off of my boyfriend and i who are HUGE foodies, constantly try new places and we both have a sweet tooth. And it's hard to say as locals but I feel disappointed in the lack of flavor in BOTH ice cream and donut. We'll start with Ambiance: SUPER CUTE place, love the aesthetic and the vibe is welcoming. This is definitely a fun place to hang out with your family, grab a treat and enjoy in house. Service: GREAT service - very welcoming, offered samples, answered any questions we had. I felt very comfortable and treated very well by staff. Food: Again, this is coming from very big foodies... we didn't feel like the donut and ice cream flavor was there. Mind you, we have been really excited to try this place out. The Carrot Cake not only had a weird taste the SMELL was almost as if it had gone bad. I had to spit it out. The rest of the 1/2 a dozen donuts we got, all had the SAME taste. none of them gave us that WOW flavor effect and every one of them had more of a stale taste and not very fluffy like a traditional donut but favors more of a sweet bread. We tried two ice cream flavors and they both favored a vanilla taste rather than chocolate or any of the flavors selected. We don't mind the prices for everything. i've heard people say that it's a little pricey which is understandable for us it's not a traditional shop it's more of a donut boutique lol but we would expect it to have so much more flavor and freshness to the donuts. Sad to say, we didn't finish any of the donuts. we ended up throwing everything out along with the ice cream after trying everything. With all that being said, we always like to give places a second try. things happen, might have been bad batch a bad night, we give the benefit of the doubt. We will be in again to try another round and i'll be sure to update this review after that visit. read more

Incredible vibes, decor and ice cream! Going out for ice cream is finally fun again. A whole experience when you step into 1/2sies. From epic merch and instagrammable moments to the cutest half donuts, beautiful cakes and incredible ice cream flavor options with the most creative names. La Quinta really needed another ice cream place, one that draws you in for post dinner family time on the hot summer evenings, date night spots and friend meet ups. And the location is perfect because that shopping center was missing something. I'm so excited to see this place thrive! I had half Melanin Beauty which was a rich chocolate and half Cereal Milk because it gave me warm fuzzies of home. My kiddo had pomegranate ice which they loved! Mine was super creamy. The place is very trendy and has a cool vibe. We ordered half a dozen of their "donuts," but if I'm being honest, they had more of a muffin consistency rather than a traditional donut texture. Paying $18 for six half donuts felt a bit pricey in my opinion. The staff was sweet and welcoming, which I appreciated. The maple and glazed flavors were my personal favorites, but overall, the texture just was not what I was expecting. I was hoping for more of that classic donut feel. This place was actually very delicious. You can easily share one with your partner since they are fairly big. A bit pricy but they are very yummy. My husband and I got two 1/2sies and 4 donuts to take home. The employees were really nice and gave us samples of their ice cream to try which was great because I would have went with my usual but instead opted for something else. Ok, I saw this place in Instagram and it's right around the corner from my work. Had to try it. So, here goes! These are the best donuts I've EVER had!! WOW!!! I got a six pack and bought the almond croissant, 2 strawberry crunch, regular glazed, bread pudding and triple chocolate. EVERY one is amazing! If you're a fan of Krispy Kreme because of the light, fluffy texture, these are better. Give this place a try, it won't disappoint! Ps, they make their own ice cream. Donut was good, ice cream was alright! couple suggestions: - Jam of the Desert ice cream (yummy) I think has peanuts which should be labeled as it's not in the name. - The line wasn't clearly marked and people were filing in very confused. Pretty chaotic. Would be better if the door was on the other side of the shop but I assume that wasn't possible. They need a big "Line starts here" - Menu is a little confusing? They've got a lot of product in there and very little indication of what you can get. They do have paper menus that helped. read more

We asked about any custard filled doughnuts, they had none ready, but were accommodating to make one on the spot. Chocolate covered, Bavarian cream filled excellence. Incredible. We sampled a few ice creams and were delighted with how they didn't taste like frozen sugar. Tasted like rich, iced, cream. Depth in flavor was perfect. Place is super cute ! I went with my husband it was our first time, staff were honestly not very friendly, and seemed like they just did not care, and not attentive. There was a selection of flavors to choose from for the doughnuts and ice cream but when we asked about flavors, it almost felt like we were bothering.
