When I do manage to reach someone from the company, they are very far away and have no idea what i'm talking about when I describe conditions in the national forest. I wouldn't have bothered to write this review after I canceled my contract (after their ridiculous policy that you have to keep them for a whole three years) except for how they responded when my alarm system went crazy after I canceled. I don't know if it's purposeful, but when you cancel, the system that's installed goes into full, deafening, shrieking mode. I called All Protection to ask them how to disable the system and the person answering (on Thursday, November 16 at 2pm) was singularly unhelpful and almost cruel. He said that since i'm no longer a customer they can't help me. He told me that I could look online for ways to how to shut it off. He was so uncaring and rude, even though he could hear the deafening alarms I will tell everyone I know in the San Bernardino National Forest how horrible All Protection is. Don't throw your money away. Go to a security company that actually gives a crap and knows where some of the roads are.

Just wanted to recommend Starbird Security. We bought a home that despite being only 6 years old…read morehad non working security cameras and alarm system. Because the cameras were a hard wired system we really wanted to use them if possible. We were told repeatedly that we should just install a new system at a cost of $3k or more. None of the alarm companies that came out could repair or use the existing cameras. We even got the name of the original installer from the builder. He told us the dvr and power source for the cameras was burned out due to a power surge and couldn't be reused. As a last resort I called Chris at Starbird Security for a recommendation since their website showed they do mostly commercial work. Chris came out and figured out we just needed a new power supply to the dvr ($15) and a new power supply for the cameras ($25). He recommended a high end surge protector so as not to blow out the components again. The biggest challenge was getting remote access since the company that manufactured the original system no longer makes or services analogue systems. Chris was so patient and never gave up. Now have a fully functional security camera system for less than $200 including upgrading the surge protector. Was more than happy to pay Chris for his time. As soon as the contract I have for my security system is up I will be switching that over to Starbird as well.

What stands out most was Rick's accountability to the job and for the work of his crew. He was communicative, kept me informed throughout the job, and made absolutely sure any issues I had were addressed. Rick's team also tested every cable run with a Fluke tester and verified that each run was properly shielded and capable of 10 Gbps performance. They were also attentive to the smaller cosmetic detail requests, including cable color, outlet style, and the specific placement of wall jacks. Although just about everything is expensive nowadays, the pricing for the scope and quality of work was reasonable. I contacted Ricardo after checking out his reviews, he responded quickly and we easily set up an appointment. He discussed possible options of placement of the ports since the roof and outer walling might pose an issue, but he was able to find good placement of my ports. Job was done quick and easy in less than 2 hours. Aside from making a hole in the wall for the ethernet port placement, no additional breakage of the wall was necessary. Ricardo did say that in some cases, depending on the walling and roofs, breakage of the wall would be necessary for some people, but not mine fortunately. Ricardo and is colleague were awesome, professional yet friendly and personable. They cleaned up after themselves and did an overall fantastic job to make any streaks or scrapes anywhere.
