Pros: Beach front. Inspira suite room 1603 is big and faces the water. It has a beautiful view Staff is friendly Room service 24 hours. Arrives within 30 min. You can find the menu on your TV guide. Lots to eat and drink during the day. Close to the airport. Cons: Housekeeping: they were the only staff members that weren't great. One day they took all the towels and didn't replace them, the next day they didn't throw any of our trash out, etc Mini bar in the room only has non alcoholic drinks and one bottle of water. Black out curtains are needed. No chance of sleeping with the brightness and the noise from housekeepers moving furniture around so early in the morning. Bars close at 10:30 and only on bartender at night. Arrived via pre arranged transport from the airport. The hotel is only a 15 min ride away from the airport. Check in took longer than expected. You will have to sign a few covid forms. We arrived at 9:30pm. They had a bottle of champagne chilled on our room as a welcome gift The room: spacious. Clean. Some wear and tear noted. The bed was super comfy. The bathroom was big with a nice rain shower. The bathrobes were a perk. They only leave two towels at a time, but you can probably ask for more. FYI: we were both at one time locked in the bathroom even though we didn't lock it and the only way to get out was by someone unlocking it through the outside. The AC was not the best. It was always humid in the room. Without my personal fan, I probably would have been too hot to sleep. The pool: small, but big enough for the amount of people there. They have a hot tub, but every single day we were there, it was congested with children. They have towel service station, but except for one day, we had to go to the lobby to actually get our pool towels. The swim up bar is a plus. They have lounge chairs available and some times at the snack bar. The beach: beautiful. Clean. We never had problems accessing lounge chairs. For those in the inspira suites, they have a special section at the beach for them. Bar and snack service is available on the beach too. They do have a lifeguard on duty. The bars: by far, the pool bar was better. The inside lobby bar was always slow. They only had one bartender. They really need at least two. Especially in the evenings. Once again, why close the only place to be at 10:30? Try the chamoyada drink. That was my favorite. The buffet: lots of food to choose from. Two nights in a row, they had a lady making fresh tortillas and quesadillas. The pools snack bar: my #2 place to go. Loved their food. You must order the fish tacos and the al pastor tacos. I think I ate my weight in tacos while there. The Mediterranean restaurant: more a sit down dinner with a set menu. They have a dress code, but nothing fancy. Just make sure men have sleeves. Food was ok. The Greek salad was probably my favorite dish there. The Japanese restaurant: my least favorite. The good thing is that the portions were small and I was able to go eat sushi afterwards. They also have a set menu to choose from The sushi restaurant: #1 in my book. Loved the shrimp roll. I have to admit that sometimes I ate there twice in one night. They have a display case inside with extras that aren't on the menu. Don't forget to check it out. On our last night, we were treated with off the menu sushi. A nice plus is that this is right next to the bar and the waiter will bring you drinks along with your sushi. Starbucks: this isn't included in the all inclusive unless you are staying in inspira suites. If you are staying in the inspira suites all the drinks and some of the pastries are complimentary Entertainment: not a daily event, but we did get to enjoy two performances. One was a Latin band and the other a saxophone player. Both were great. The staff: everyone was great, but I have to say that Hector treated us like no other. He deserves kuddos. The sushi chef was also the best. At the pool, Jonathan did a great job. Check out was fast and easy. We opted for their late check out for $20 an hour. My stay at Oleo was not planned but I am so glad it did. I ended up renting an Airbnb that is located on a building within Oleo. We were told that we could enjoy the benefits of the hotel if we purchased the day pass. We ended up staying three days and purchased the day pass for two days out of our three. We fully enjoyed the benefits. They have two pools connected, which one of them has a pool bar. I was shocked by how yummy the alcoholic drinks were. I have stayed at bigger all inclusive hotels and the drinks taste watered down, but these were delicious. They don't have many restaurants since they are a micro hotel, but the three they had served very yummy food. The beach views were spectacular. We even got to see baby turtles hatching at night and turtle coming to lay their eggs. This place is a good choice for Cancun. read more

Sometimes I swear they can slide more than on a slip and slide; trust me that's hard to do! A slip n slide is specifically made to slide on! The bus stops right in front of the hotel and we have the whole tourist area at the tip of our fingers. I snap my fingers and boom a bus! 12 pesos and you can get to downtown! 12 pesos and I am at the clubs! 12 pesos and i am back at my hotel passed out on the beach! They do not have lifeguards at night and they do not recommend you swim at night, but I did it anyway! The water was so nice and the waves were so calm! How could I not??? Or How could I, yes! My favorite food was at Almar, and the restaurant in the hotel was pretty good most of the time (I'm also a picky eater to be fair). The kind workers in the check in area were warm and friendly, and Marcos A. and Gustavo were our guys. My favorite servers during my one week stay were Gabriel, Roger, and Lilliana. A solid 4.5 stars! A large part of this rating is based on my experiences with other all-inclusive resorts: I've been to one in Cabo 9 years ago (don't remember much from this - heck I don't even remember what I did 9 days ago), as well as to an all-inclusive in the Dominican Republic last year. Just as a preliminary matter, Oleo seems to be one of the better resorts in the hotel zone of Cancun. It is also one of the closest from the airport - maybe like a 12-minute drive. Everything at Oleo is fairly compact - that is good if you are a lazy ass and don't want to walk that far. There is a buffet style restaurant that is walk-in pretty much anytime. Two other restaurants are also on the premises, one Mediterranean one and one that does Japanese cuisine (Hakka). Mediterranean was decent. Hakka is a multi-course meal that requires a reservation (not a strict dress code though). Some dishes were alright (tempura vegetables and this cooked fish dish), but having lived in Japan before I've had better. A snack bar is also on the property with FOODGASM level ceviche and fish tacos. Just FYI that opening hours are limited. Oleo has 2 bars: a lobby bar (as you can expect, it is at the lobby) and a swim-up pool bar. The latter offers frozen/blended drinks, while the former does not. However, the lobby bar has longer opening hours and closes around midnight or so. Our room was fairly standard. Nice and clean, view was alright. There is 24-hour room service, which I thought was awesome. Room service (when I ordered it that one time) was relatively quicker than I imagined (though based on the other reviews you should expect it to be slow). One major gripe I have is the entertainment, or lack thereof. Again, one's assessment of Oleo will depend on their experience with all-inclusive resorts. During my DR trip last year to Punta Cana, my resort had a casino, a nightclub, many more restaurants and bars than Oleo, movie showings, and live performances. Oleo had a few live performances (e.g. dancing and singing) in the lobby area, but nothing great. Then again, the DR resort was HUGE and required taking a shuttle to get from point A to point B, whereas as indicated above everything in Oleo is compact and within close proximity to each other. If you haven't been to an all-inclusive resort, I highly recommend this one to whet your appetite for these sort of experiences. People are super friendly here, and remember to bring multiple U.S. dollar bills to tip the bartenders/servers. When you check in, you might be asked to attend this presentation the following morning. Don't do it. It is a timeshare presentation where you sit there listening to them talk about how wonderful their other new resort property is and then want you to buy in. This is more for Oleo than anyone else: please stop doing this. People go to Oleo to sit and relax on the beach, not listen to some presentation that ultimately is to entice them to take out their credit card. Just my 2 cents. read more

I stayed there from 10/16-10/19/23 no pool entertainment or night . Around 9am they are cleaning the pool .Bar at the pool only opens from 10am to 6pm . Food it's alright only 2 restaurants . They were always cleaning, floors, windows. The place is a little out dated. The check in was great. We got our room quickly. They try to get you to do a "video sit in" to get a free spa. We were like no thanks, if we want to do a spa, we will pay. They never looked at us again. Food was excellent. Whatever we are was very good. No complaints there. They do need more variety. Every day at breakfast, it was the same stuff. I noticed NEVER any bacon. The buffet area was tiny, and never crowded. I know it's a boutique hotel, but it needs more options. The Mediterranean restaurant Almar was very good. I had the short rib. Then we tried to get in a few nights later, and we had a long wait, the hostess actually took people before us, so we left and went to the buffet. The japenese Hakka was excellent!! Very very small portions so double up. Brown Bag was awesome for coffees. The fish tacos by the pool were amazing! They are will bring them to you at the beach. That's El Botanero. They had food out and it was all excellent. The lobby bar was not good. Drinks were terrible. The pool bar, I don't know WHAT they gave me, I asked for a double shot of vodka (their top shelf is Absolute) I wanted to add it to my crystal light, drink, and I had to throw it out. It smelled like RUBBING ALCOHOL! Wow. This hotel, needs lessons on making drinks. I guess if you drink beer or wine, you are safe. The entertainment at the pool was good the day we sat there. The lobby bar is where they do their entertainment at night. I went to the casino night, that was ok. The night of Michael Jackson, they had no seats The water pressure in the room was good, but never any hot water. We even called the first day we got there, I felt like a liar, bc when maintenance came it was hot. But this would happen it would come and go, mostly go. This. Am no hot water. No nice machines around, you need to call room service for ice. The towels in the bathroom are all frayed. Room was cleaned everyday. I guess early. We were out all day. This is an All-Inclusive Boutique Hotel. Despite not being a mega large hotel chain, the area to access the beach is quite expansive. Overall, my family and I had pretty good stay here... **Check in/lobby** It's strange how the lobby HAS NO AC. It's not your typical lobby where there's a large desk to check in. You sit down on the couches. Somehow for us, the check in gentlemen knelt down next to us. Awkward much? The views are nice since the walls are made of glass so you can see the ocean, but it was getting hot in there. Though we got cool sparkling wine so that's a cool treat. We talked to three people total and the last person asked us to come the next morning to review some benefits. Instantly, I could tell that it's the dreaded timeshare presentation and didn't bother coming back. I mean if there are benefits, why not just say it upfront? Of course they won't because they want you to go through the presentation. Good thing we avoided it. **Rooms** Very contemporary focusing a lot on whites. We got the Inspira Superior Ocean View. The view is...really superior. We were on the highest floor available (9th floor) and we got to see both the lagoon and the beach. When it's not raining, we can also see the gorgeous sunset. The room itself is very spacious but the restroom area is small. I didn't like how the toilet paper is in the back. Shower area isn't too small but I felt the water always leaked out. So we always had a mini puddle, making the floor dangerously wet. But hey, there was running hot water in both the sink and the shower! The curtains didn't cover the sides well so the room gets bright in the daytime. You best bring an eye mask if this is a bother to you. The rooms also aren't super soundproof as you can sometimes hear folks in the hallway at times. But, the sliding door and windows are definitely the high quality kinds that reduces noise and improves insulation. Lastly, the bed and pillows are comfortable. Somehow, it just gets really hot using the sheets. My feeling is that the room is also a bit humid so maybe the AC system should also include some dehumidifier. Room service is great. You just dial 0 and ask them to give you want whether it be food or just an extra towel. **Restaurants** They're all great. Modern, clean, and professional. My favorite is Almar followed by the Azul buffet. Not too impressed by Hakka except the main entree, but I'll write that in a separate review. The fish tacos at the snack bar are also amazing. **Service** Everybody is warm and friendly (if you avoid the presentation). From the point we got dropped off at the front to visiting our rooms, we were well taken care of. The Bellboy was very friendly (he helped us on Monday) When at the resort, the entertainment and snack bar staff are also approachable as well. Lastly, some of the hours listed on the schedule pamphlet are wrong. is wrong. Pool closes early at 9:30 and the afternoon tea time is gone :( Overall, it's decent resort!! Like any Cancun hotel, just avoid any presentation. You can get great discounts but don't think you can leave after the standard 90 minutes presentation unless you've got a strong will. read more

Beautiful property with walking distance to the beautiful beach. The pool HS a bar in it which was nice. There was also a "jacuzzi" type pool but the water wasn't hot. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was easy to catch a bus here and across the street there were 2 restaurants and a convenience store which was nice to be able to buy snacks. Our room was a little small and dated compared to the rest of the place but we were still comfortable. I would recommend staying here. This is really a 4 1/2. I'll explain to you why not 5 at the end of the review. When we arrived, the staff greeted us with open arms and made us feel welcome. 3 different people helped upon check in. One to tell us about the resort and for paperwork, one to make a reservation at the "reservation only" restaurant at the resort and one to show us to our room. Once we got to our room, which wasn't a far walk from the elevators, it was spacious, clean and had a great view. We had a view of the ocean and of the lagoon. Amenities are provided for you. The room has air conditioning and a ceiling that worked wonderfully circulating the humid air. The faucet water is only for bathing and they tell you not to drink it, so they have lots of bottled water available to you. The food is really good!! I wasn't excepting much for an all inclusive. But everything was really tasty. The menu is small, but every meal we had was amazing. They had everything, chicken, pork and beef, all cooked to perfection. Not overly seasoned and not sauced up either. Hakka, which is their "reservation only" restaurant blew me away and my review is under that restaurant. The drinks have no shortage of alcohol. My husband and I are in agreement that the Pina Colada here is one of the best we've ever tasted. Now, why not 5 Stars. At check in, it took kinda long. We had one person checking us in and for the paperwork, which was fine. The next person to give us the overview of the resort didn't get us until at least 15 minutes later. There was only 2 other parties that came after and at least 8-10 staff members at the desks and standing around. Once we got the overview of the resort, the bellman that showed us to our room took another 15-20 minutes beforehand re getting to us. I was even thinking of navigating through the hallways myself trying to find our room. Once they have this whole check in process running more smooth, then this place would definitely be a 5 star resort. read more

COVID-19 Masks are required at the restaurant and when entering the property. There is sanitizing stations and all employees wear masks. You can also schedule your covid test quickly and they offer rapid tests. It was a struggle to locate it though and extreme language barrier when we kept asking for assistance. Cleanliness- Initially firing the check in process and entering they were sanitizing and doing temperature checks so I assumed the full resort would be clean. The elevator not only took over 4 minutes but was dirty and smelly. Room- Was okay. Spacious and the bathroom looked nice as if remodeled. The walk in shower was okay but ackward to enter because too close to the toilet. Also the shower had mildew down in the corners and the sink was loose and if touched to hard it would have come off completely. ( I'm not your average and have extremely high expectations) Most people would be okay with the room. Food- The Italian restaurant I didn't care for too much I tried breakfast and dinner. The chef in the back must grill a mean breakfast burrito but the line was too long and at first I was unsure if the wait would be worth it. Japanese restaurant was good and also the service was great and I liked the setup. Spa- I didn't get to experience it but it is available by appointment or the private pool can be used for an additional $15. View It was everything and more. When we arrived at Oleo it was clear to see the boutique vibe that the company was going for. The entrance is gorgeous I love the glass lobby and the Oleo insta sign! We were welcomed with fruit and Champagne, nice touch! I love how your wrist band also serves as your room key! Our room wasn't ready immediately so we checked out the property! When we were assigned a room we had some issues because of elevator problems. If you have any kind of issues with stairs request a low room. Elevators are being worked on and they go out fairly often right now. Someone is always there working on them but at times 0 elevators were available and that was an issue for me. We were moved to another room closer to the first floor. Our new room over looked the ocean and was more spacious! The view was amazing. The climate control and ceiling fan worked great. Our only issue was that the type of doors used do not have rubber around edges. The banging loudly when the wind was strong. We still sleep like babies. The beds and furniture were comfy. The decor is cute! The safe is appreciated and the fridge is always filled with soft drinks, beer and bottled water. Back to checking in, near the check in area is a lobby bar. It's nice but they do not make frozen drinks there :( I hope this is reconsidered because it's a fun area to go sit, make friends, and get your drink on! The bartenders were friendly and many group shots were consumed in this spot! The pools here are a gorgeous and make for fantastic photos. There are 3 total for everyone and an infinity pool with 3 hot/cold tubs in the spa area. The pools aren't huge but they were never over crowded. Frozen drinks are only served at the pool bar. I suggest top secret! It's s fantastic drink! The pool side tacos are AMAZING. There is a limited pool grill menu but trust me you need to not skip the al pastor. Let's talk about the spa! We paid only $110 for an 80 min massage and facial experience. If you dat through a time share presentation you got it for 1/2 price. We did that but the sales people were incredibly rude and i would not recommend sitting with them. Christine, Saariam, and Josephine in the spa..those ladies make a girl feel like a queen! The massage was one of my best. I didn't know what to expect for the facials but it complete with everything including extraction. During the facial I was enjoying a head massage when suddenly I realized my hair was being braided. I love that nice touch they add! Sadly not if the hyro jetted pools were working but we still enjoyed the infinity pool and got some epic photos while we Luxuriated. There is entertainment every night and extra entertainment on rain days. We missed two karoke nights but opted to try casino night! I'm so glad that we did! 4-5 tables were set up with different games and fake money. The person with the most amount of fake money at the won a prize. We didn't need a prize! We really enjoyed our table! I drank a Havana Lights drink that night and it was incredible! Try it! The people are this resorts best asset. They willl legit do anything for you! They work hard! You will see the managers working at various jobs in the resort. All of the staff members do not speak English but they are learning and will gladly get someone who can help. Special shout out to Marcus Rodriguez. When we checked in we had some issues and at first intended to leave but he promised me I would enjoy my stay and I'm so glad I listened to him! Also we had two Victors we loved to run into. Marketing Victor and bell man Victor. Thank you so much for helping us and making us smile so much! Diego also was the best at helping to accommodate 1 am chips and guacamole requests multiple nights. My final comments are about the food. The breakfast and lunch Buffets are good. There is an omelette and fajita station. Lots of options. The dinner buffet was not something we enjoyed. We opted to do reservations at Hakka and Almar. We ate at Almar twice. Alamars appetizers and soups are served buffet style. Entree and dessert and by waiter. The Seabass and Rib-eye were delicious and highly recommended. We at Hakka once. It was empty in the restaurant and the meal was a little two drawn out for my liking. If they just made Hakka a sushi bar it would be incredible. Room service was also included but the options were so limited. It would be great if the pool side grill items could be ordered as room service! In summary, I would stay at Oleo again! As regular visitors to Cancun, we have stayed at several hotels; mostly large all-inclusive resorts. This time, we wanted to try something more intimate, where you don't have to spend a lot of time walking from amenity to amenity; restaurant to restaurant, etc. Not to mention, if you forget your sunscreen or something else, large resorts require a serious trek back to your room. What the Oleo lacks in infrastructure (they continue to work on this place), they make it up with the highest quality service and food. In addition, everything (small pool, great restaurants, main bar, beach, and lobby are all so close to each other. It was very refreshing. Here are some additional observations: LOCATION The location was perfect. The Oleo is located near the beginning portion of the Hotel Zone and close to the airport. A bus stop is located right outside, and you don't have to walk a mile to get to the street. The bus is less than one dollar. FOOD The food was excellent. Each day, the main eating area, called Azul, offers buffet breakfast, lunch, and a different themed dinner. Although Azul is mostly buffet, a cook is always present to make fresh eggs, omelets, grilled chicken and beef, and even fresh tacos. The food here was excellent, and the staff was awesome. There is also a Mediterranean restaurant called Almar. Amazing quail, chicken, and beef was being prepared when I visited. Our server, YADIZ, did an outstanding job for us. The Japanese restaurant, Hakka, was very impressive; as was the staff. The chef, ALEJANDRO, was spectacular. He even made a signature dish for us which was a detailed tuna plate. He also delivered our meals to us at our table. I appreciated learning about his experience and taking a picture with him. Alejandro is a true asset to the Oleo. In addition, all of the Hakka staff members were very good. The pool/beach restaurant was also very good. They had the best tacos, wings, fries, quesadillas, and more. I did not get the staff members' names, but the cooks and the servers were spectacular. Lastly, there is also a sushi bar, and it too was very good. BAR, POOLS, BEACH, AND ENTERTAINMENT There is only one bar at the Oleo, and it is small, which we liked. They had nightly entertainment, and each act did a great job. The bar staff did a great job too. Regarding the pools, there are two small ones with a swim up bar. Again, intimacy is king here, and we liked the small scale. The Oleo occupies part of the best beach. The servers from the pool/beach restaurant were quick to take drink and food orders and return to the beach quickly. Again, another advantage of being a boutique all-inclusive. We also enjoyed interacting with the entertainment staff, especially JESUS. SPA Excellent spa at the Oleo. We took advantage of it on two occasions; including two massages. The facilities were very nice, and services were reasonably priced. ROOM The Oleo was completely booked when we arrived, so our room was located on the very top of Tower 1. After getting off the elevator on Floor 9, two flights of stairs led to a wood spiral staircase. Although odd, this room had a 360 degree few of the beach and Cancun; pretty cool. The minibar only had soft drinks. The cleaning staff cleaned our room each day. We had a few issues with this room; the mini bar fridge did not work upon arrival, and the entry door did not lock. The hotel is older but clean and well maintained. The views are phenomenal. The beach was well maintained. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We received exceptional service the whole time we were there. Five stars for the staff!! Downside is the food isn't that great. The tacos at the pool side restaurant were the best thing we had while there. We ended up going off site for food. There are tons of kids that pretty much control the very small pool. If you and your family are looking for a get away it's great. As a mature adult looking for great food and quite time, this is probably not the best place. read more

Please consider staying elsewhere. Oleó is one of the worst resort to stay at. I wouldn't even consider this a resort. There is nothing to do here and the pool closes at 8pm with nothing else to do. Besides that, my husband and I experienced an extremely horrible time staying here for a week. The food was subpar and the only decent food is the bar food. Now, let's get started with issues that we had. We paid for the inspira-VIP and we were treated even worse than regular general guests. We ordered food at the bar and waited almost an hour and realized our food is still not being made. Normally it takes 10-15 mins max. When we went to check in Ruben pushed us away and we just checked in about the status of our food. He kept using his hands to shoo us and kept saying they're closed, Carlos was very nice and tried offering us old wings that were not given to the other guest; however, we didn't want old wings. So we received horrible customer service from Ruben. Secondly, there was the hurricane that was heading towards Cancun. Our room was filled with water..we called the front lobby to let them know and we were told "there's nothing that we can do, just stay on your bed" what?... we asked for towels and we were told no. We asked for the sand bags that they had placed outside by the exit door and we were told no. My husband and I didn't sleep throughout the night to ensure for our safety. In the morning, our room was filled with water. We went to talk to the manager to see if we can change rooms, they said no. There's no rooms. We then asked if they can come up to help clean the water, we were told no. We were told other guests are dealing with this. Which we completely understand. Not until Diego (one of the lead/manager) got upset and then made one of the workers to come up with towel and a mop. The worker mopped the dirty water into our bathroom! Which was the one place that was dried! What?! Then we went to go to talk the manager, Julia. She's very kind and she listens however there were no solutions. I explained that I understand that there are 500+ rooms and there's not a lot of employees available. She then shared that there's only 166 rooms and only 6 rooms are experiencing what we are experiencing-that made it worse!!! So you're saying only 6 rooms are experiencing what we are, shouldn't our safety be your priority?! Shouldn't you send the available maintenance employees to ensure our room is stable? We had to constantly go and tell you guys? It took 20 hours until you are going to expedite this to upper management? You're only doing this because we are coming to voice our safety and well being? They truly do not care. We could have fallen and gotten seriously injured. They do not take any preventative actions. They truly do not care even though they say that they do. I saw and watch a kid fall due to the water that was not mopped. Please stay else where if you want to be safe and be taken care of. Please spend your money elsewhere. I was very pleased with our all-inclusive stay at Oleo! This was our first time to Mexico and we were very pleased with how we were treated during our stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly and the hotel layout made it easy to enjoy the Oleo area - pool, beach, swim-up bar, restaurants, gym, etc. I have to say, one of my favorite parts of this hotel were their amazing pork tacos. We made it a point to enjoy them a few times on this trip! For the price, this is a solid selection if you're seeking an all-inclusive in Cancun. Recently stayed at Óleo, and as it was my first time visiting Cancun, I can't say much in regards to comparison with other resorts. However, it was very beautiful and the private beach was gorgeous! The hotel is very close to the airport as it is at the beginning of the hotel zone. It's far from the clubs, but you can just hop on the bus and it's an easy ride over! Overall, anything on the hotel zone is easily accessible with the bus. The staff was very friendly! They took our suitcases straight to our room upon arrival and we were given some welcome cocktails, such a nice treat after a day of flying! We didn't get the all-inclusive package as we wanted to explore and try other restaurants. The only downside of that is they don't accept cash or card at any of their bars! We wanted to buy a drink at the swim up bar in the pool area, but since we didn't buy the all-inclusive, we were unable to do so. Really such a bummer! Anyways, other than that it is a nice property! The infinity pool and the beach are very clean and well-kept, and we also really enjoyed the hammocks! read more

Wowie! Booked this place for my husband's birthday for August 16 ! We got the oceanfront jr suite. Absolutely beautiful, spacious, and the view is incredible. Upon check-in, we were greeted with happiness & kindness by Febie, and then we dealt with the customer manager Julia she is a star ! They made us feel so comfortable & they explained everything very clearly. The Pros so many, the spa beautiful, the massages excellent. The restaurants we choose Hakka & Meaterianen restaurants were delish. Room service was timely, and the food was ok. If you like boutique hotels, you will love this one. We can't wait to go back. There is no hot water in our room, there is sand all over the floor ( we haven't been to the beach yet) they are in the middle of construction.... there is plenty of food options but they're all equally as bad. Lol even the chocolate milk was bad.... how do you mess up chocolate milk? There is jack hammers going off, the indoor restaurants are still so hot you have sweat dripping down your back. It's very hard to find peace and quiet, people's Walky talkys we're going off in the hall ways at 7 am, people screaming in the Halls at 2am. In our bathroom you can hear the music and people talking through the walls. It's not very private or peaceful at all and we were really looking forward to relaxing for my husbands birthday. I left a review before based on my first impressions of getting here in the beginning and now I can say without a doubt, this is a "David and Goliath" situation.....and I LOVE IT! This is a boutique hotel that's all inclusive and as you may know, sometimes all inclusive resorts don't offer the best food for shat they charge. I absolutely CANNOT say that about this place. The food here is DELICIOUS!!!!! The waiters in every restaurant were sooooooo kind, helpful and patient with questions and or, needs. The time in between appetizers and the main entree is very fast and everything that I've had here has been nothing less Han hot and ready to eat. I'm used to the larger hotel such as royalton or Panama jack or sands but this place here is without a doubt, my new favorite. I don't know where to begin. This is one of the best experiences I have had ever!!!!! It was me and my sons first time to Cancun and I wanted to choose a resort that was family friendly but also not all about kids. And this place was perfect. They had activities for all ages, and they had shows almost every night. on the nights where there wasn't a show going on it was karaoke night. The man in charge on the entertainment was super friendly, and was so awesome. Everyone called him el chocolate. When reading the reviews for this resort, they kind of throw you off because there are some that are not so good and some that are like mine, which is five star really good review. But when coming here I wouldn't pay attention too much to the bad reviews because this resort was perfect. There was nothing the matter with it. We had an amazing time. The servers were amazing, room service was outstanding, housekeeping was so on point, the resort was super clean. They cleaned every single day. like there is nothing I can complain about from this resort, but if you're somebody who likes to party and clubbing, things like that yeah this is not the resort for you. Their shows typically end around 10 PM or 10:30 so if you're looking for a late night resort where you know shows are going to be late or they're going to have parties and things like that, This is definitely not the place for you. But that's why this resort work so perfect for my family because we are not early birds but at the same time we don't like to go to sleep too late so everything ended up working out perfectly. The pool is opened I believe until 11pm and they have an outdoor bar at the pool which is very convenient, they have a bar inside the lobby which is open to I believe 1 AM. One other thing that was very misleading about some of the reviews was when they were talking about the Buffet. The reviews that I was reading said that the Buffet served the same food every single day, which is a lie. Every night was a different themed night for dinner, they had Italian night they had Spain night. They had Mexican night they had Asian night they had just different themes. Every single night. It was so good the food was so amazing. We never had any problems. Our first day getting there we arrived around lunchtime, and their menu was good, but my son's a very picky eater and so he didn't really like the food that they had out, so one of the servers actually came up to us and said "I'm noticing that your son is not eating, does he not like the food that we have, is there something that the chef can prepare for him?" and so we told her that he likes mac & cheese and she went to the back and told the chef which he than began to prepare the mac & cheese for him which I thought was very kind and very amazing of the staff to be able to accommodate my son like that. We enjoyed our vacation. They have a 3 restaurants with amazing food. If you want to stay at a resort that takes care of you this is the place to go. They do also have a kids club that is open from 9 AM till 5 PM and Abi is the one who runs the kids club she's so kind she's so sweet. She has lots of activities for the kids to do & snacks for them.Another thing that we really liked at this resort was they had their own personal area for Photography. They have the professionals that will take pictures of you and they do a free session and then you just pay for whatever package you want to get. The pictures were outstanding. I am so in love with the quality and just how everything looked, Sandy is the one who took my families pictures. She was super amazing & so calm with my son while taking the pictures. I have a three-year-old, she was super awesome with him & so patient just such an amazing experience. I know my review is long there's just so much I want to say about this resort it was just one of the best experiences that we've ever had. It's a clean fun resort. With the best staff. First - this is a 3 star resort - not 4. Some the rooms have beautiful AMAZING ocean views, but everything else needs help. If you plan to never leave your room and just want an amazing view of the ocean - book the oceanfront rooms and call it a day. If you want delicious food, great wine, great customer service, a great beach experience, or literally anything else..... book elsewhere. The food is not good. I understand that it is still Covid times, but what does that have to do with the taste of the food. They only have 1 or 2 of the restaurants open on a given night - in addition to the buffet spot which is always open - and not good. There's wanna be sushi bar restaurant that is a joke - how do you mess up a shrimp tempura roll...its not even 'real' sushi. . All the food I had was not good - not terrible, but definitely 2 -3 star hotel food - not 4 star food or food that even 'wanted' to eat. They have 2 wine options (a white and a red) which is the standard, but both of them are terrible and tasted cheap. I understand that this is not a 5 star resort but this tasted like old $5 wine that had been left open for 2 days. Oh and side note - room service is 24/7 but be careful (the phone jack in my room did not work smh) and they don't deliver wine or liquor as part of the room service, so much for having a mimosa while getting ready in the morning. The beach was just sad and the wanna be tent cabanas - they shouldn't have even bothered. The beach area is tiny, and they have literally fabric and sticks available on the beach to make some kind of shelter - look at the photos and they don't clean up or remove the seaweed from the beach, they just sweep it into piles. Sigh. I know some places charge an extra feed of 4 -6 dollars to 'clean' the beach - not here. The resort is small - hence the word boutique, but it has so much potential if they focus on the little things. For example, the jacuzzi and the pool is open until 9 or 10pm, but they don't put beach or pool towels in the room and the outdoor towel station closes wayyy before 9. Same thing with the outdoor bar. The jacuzzi is in the cut - corner of the outdoor deck and there's little to no light and no camera. There don't have slippers (there is a robe), the bathroom mirror is peeling/chipped pieces, the TV in the elevator isn't turned on - even better there's no separate up or down button for the elevator literally just one button and whatever shows up, shows up. A lot of ppl at the resort are learning English- aka there may be some struggles if you don't speak Spanish and some ppl will just ignore you (one guy literally waved me off when I asked where the pool towels were one night) so feel free to practice your Spanish. There is a younger gentlemen that works the concierge that is the best thing the hotel has going in terms of customer service. Other than that' it's hit or miss or....miss and miss smh. The servers in the restaurants try - you can see them making an effort (aka trying to learn and remember your name). Believe the other reviews the check in process is sllllloooowww for absolutely no reason. There's one unexciting bar thats always open, and you can see sleep/drunk people scattered in the couches around it. Sigh. There's no smoothie bar, the coffee/Starbucks station is extra $ and not included, but there is an omelette. station. The location - It was windy and the water was ROUGH. I realize it was March but the week prior I was at another hotel further north and the wind and the water wasn't as intense as it is here. Also, if you want the option to leave the resort and just stroll down the sidewalk to a bar or a shop this is not the place for you - you will need a cab as this is near nothing.
