so for 550+ per night in Lodi Ca.. you would expect an easy five star review. nope we were gassed out beautiful and convenient location...check on site services are ok. dinner took way longer than it should have ... granted I did order the wagu steak and I believe they had to fly it in from Japan the room was clean and the beds were comfy but.... the floor was large pebbles..not the shaved off kind but the really bumpy ones. using the rest in the middle of the night was torchere. the worst part was... our beautiful balcony was unusable due to the natural gas smell that overpowered us. we called to let the front desk know. they said they would check it. since they didn't smell it too bad so we had to sleep in a room with all the windows closed. the general manager was an unfriendly unconcerned person who could care less that our stay was no up to par.... no even an I'm sorry. I WOULD HIGHLY NOT Recommend this place the Motel 6 is much classier and actually care about their guests. in asking around the next day, the locals just rolled their eyes and nodded to surprised by experience. one even said yep that why I don't work there anymore.... just fyi read more

Wow - what a wonderful place in Lodi. We booked three rooms at this hotel for a family wedding. Pulling up - the place surrounded by a residential housing, doesn't look like much, but once you get indeed it's truly spectacular. You are first treated to a beautiful modern check in desk and great customer service. The grounds are full of large beautiful trees and pristine landscaping with ample shade during summer days. The premises also includes cages full of parrots and birds. FYI - giant park is next door to the hotel. Our room was very big with all up to date amenities including huge child proof balcony - wonderful treat for our little guy. Zero complaints about the great room. The pool and the gym are fantastic and the restaurant food is delicious. We can't wait to stay here again. read more

For the hotel part: Stayed in a one bedroom. Room had a lovely balcony, that was large enough to have patio chairs and a table for us to sit and relax in the beautiful outdoor scenery. The bed itself was very comfy with plush pillows and a nice cushiony headboard. I fell asleep instantly when my head hit that pillow! The only odd thing about the room was the headboard and bedskirt. They were of a frog pattern that did not match the classy, upscale motif of the hotel. The frog pattern made me feel like I was in a Super 8 looking at it. However, the bathroom was large and very upscale. It had a nice shutter window and a huge tub. I was happy because the water heated up quicker than my own house when I was showering. Other pluses: I did not hear any foot traffic from the other guests, except for when I had the patio door open. I know the hotel was booked solid so it was nice knowing we didn't have thin walls between us. Also, room comes with a refrigerator and complimentary water. Just be prepared that there are no elevators and only stairs to the second story. It's fine if you're going up and down maybe once or twice. But lugging a whole bunch of stuff up and down can be a hassle. Overall, really enjoyed my stay. Recommend if you're coming here for an event because it's so convenient! read more

There's a lot to love here. It's quiet. The interior has been fully remodeled, to a modern & polished finish. Even without having seen it before the renovations, it is an impressive upgrade. The exterior says winery, & the interior says spa or lobby rather than staid hotel room. Too much water pressure?! The happiest "problem" I've ever had at a hotel. And an easy adjustment to fix. The bed was uber comfortable. With the window open, you could hear the waterfall that was right outside of it. So tranquil. I wouldn't leave it open though; no screens to keep out mosquitos. The restroom was about the size of a studio apartment in SF. Beautiful location. You're surrounded by gardens & trees. It's very serene. Stylish, modern, & classic at the same time. Even the coffee was good. Only negative? The gardens aren't lit up at night. It's pitch black before 10:00. So upon returning from dinner, we couldn't take a tour. A gem. 4 stars. read more

Let me start out by saying the grounds are nice & clean. The staff at the hotel is some what friendly. Here's what I have an issue with. I'm paying over $300 per night in Lodi...and your room service takes an hour +? Room service is short sided to say the least. 3sliders, 6 shrimp & small cheese plate $80? I get this place is popular wedding venue, we aren't here for a wedding, but damm the whole operation revolves around this wedding. Rooms are sub par at best, nothing great, clean, but nothing great. I'd love to give this place a better review because the potential is there. I don't think this place is worth the $300 + a night. More like $75....... read more

My review is for the restaurant. I've only come for pharmacy dinners and have always only had to pay $5 for a three-entree dinner + wine. Life is unfair, isn't it? + The beautiful scenery will be sure to impress your date + Dessert was delicious + Wine was delicious! - The circular tables are squished into the dining area so it's not convenient to walk around. Probably not the best spot for a meeting, really. Now, if we were in any of the other rooms with the square tables that would be a different story. Nice, but not a 5 star in my book since I couldn't remember any of the dishes or if I liked them. My little has been wanting to come to this spa for a year so I guess I will be back soon! read more

Nice place but one glaring omission. I was all set to give this place 5 stars but I returned to my room today and it was not made. Towels on floor, bed unmade, etc. I called the front desk and was told they don't make your room unless you request it. I write this review with a heavy hand because I absolutely love Wine & Roses. My family and I have celebrated countless events at this wonderful place. The staff, restaurant & landscaping are exceptional. My 75 year old father is a huge fan of W&R so I decided to celebrate his 75th birthday with a spa treatment, drinks and then dinner. While we were eating, the restaurant manager (blond middle-aged lady) came to our table. We were happy to see her and tell her how happy we were with everything. I assumed she was going to ask about our tasty meal or if we were happy with service. No. The sole reason she came to our table was to reprimand us for our cell phone usage and that she received several complaints about our cell phone usage in the restaurant. My parents and I were disappointed and our birthday celebration was no longer a happy experience. Let me state that I am 100% sensitive about cell phone usage in public places. The restaurant at W&R is very loud but even so I kept the volume on 3 while showing my father the 10 second video of my brother saying, "Happy Birthday Dad". That video was 10 seconds! After playing this video is the moment the manager came to our table to reprimand us of our cell phone usage and that she received several complaints. We were stunned. All this happened in 10 seconds? I informed the manager of my displeasure for being reprimanded and pointed out the high noise level and several people on their cell phones. I asked her why she targeted us. She just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I HATE actually despise playing the ole' race card. Were we targeted because we're Black? Because my Dad is elderly? I just don't know. I do know that I spent $500 that day to be treated so poorly. I'm not upset but just hurt that in 2020 I can't simply enjoy a meal at a nice restaurant. I sent a letter to the head honcho of the restaurant (name withheld for privacy) and guess what? He called me! How wonderful is that? The manager was very gracious and stated he would use my story as an employee training tool. He also said if I'm in town to say hello. My family and I own a business. We have 3 steps when a customer is unhappy: 1) listen to the customer 2) apologize 3) ask the customer what we can to make this better. W&R only completed steps 1 & 2 hence the reason for this review. There was no offer of, "Hey, stop by for a complimentary appetizer." Remember, I paid $500 for a few hours at W&R. At this point, I've just resigned that this is not an establishment that does not value patrons even though they say they do. Actions always speak louder than words. read more

This is the location of the annual Taste of Lodi festival. Parking is limited but there is ample street parking within short walking distance. The grounds are divided into different areas and this is especially nice for a large event. The vendors were spread out nicely. It has been very hot the last two years of the festival so I appreciate that there are lots of trees and shaded areas. "Real" bathrooms are available near the hotel check in and at the rear of the property. Wine and Roses was also serving some appetizers and they were very tasty. I especially liked the chicken and asparagus in puff pastry although it was a tad dry. There was also a bite with sundried tomatoes, anchovies and goat cheese that was awfully good. read more

We do have the luxury and curse living spot on in the middle of Northern California wine country. Nested between Alexander, Sonoma and Napa Valley, one would like to venture out a bit. My Wife said "let's fly to Lodi, I think I found a place". Loaded the plane and 30 minutes later we landed at the local airport. Ubered to Wine&Roses and what a delight. 4 star resort. Spa, Pool, Parrots, Restaurant all on a well maintained property. Classic Provence style resort up to standard with the fines. Compared to the Fairmont in Sonoma this one is new, 1/3 of the price, friendly, personal and perhaps at a higher standard. The dining experience was fantastic and the meal exceptional good. I would give it a even higher rating if there would be a nicer outdoor launch/bar setup. That said, I guess it would upset guests due to noise. read more

I came here for a friend's wedding. The place was easy to find but parking is all the way in the back. It's a very lovely space. It has a nice area for an outdoor wedding, but there is a weird green shack next to that area. It seemed out of place. There's lot of outdoor seating for guests as well as people to enjoy drinks/food. The bride and groom had their tea ceremony inside along with more food. It was spacious, lovely and good amount of shade. I felt the staff was really courteous and nice especially when it came to bringing out food and picking up the dishes. The whole place is taken good care of, everything looks like it was cleaned and the plants didn't look dead. I also love the paper towels in the restroom, it didn't feel like the cheap ones I'll get at some other places. If anyone is consider getting married here, I would definitely recommend it. Had drinks at their restaurant/lounge. It was a nice change of scenery for myself. The place felt as if you were in someones really nice and expensive house! Unfortunately, places that cater to more affluent and older crowds usually have a hard time taking younger clients seriously. That's exactly the service we got here. We came here for "Martini Mondays", the waitress seemed a bit shocked and upset when we asked for the jolly rancher martini that my friend had seen on the list before... she insisted that they didn't serve that... Well, she brings us the martini list and there it was, right smack in the middle. She apologized and asked for our ID's. I'll keep this short... she basically thought I had a fake ID because I had brown hair in my picture and it was out of state, she told me by ABC law that they couldn't accept it... but that she would this time and I should really update my ID because I could really get in trouble..... Just give me my damn Martini! She comes back with two half full glasses, says she "ran" out of ingredients....... I might come back to try their food, I heard that the other waitresses were really nice.. I guess we just got the bitchy one. I have been a long time customer of Wine and Roses. My family and I use the spa services, we have lunch, breakfast or dinner there at least every other month. I also got married there. After today I'm not ever planning on going there again. A man possibly in his 40's who said he was the manager asked us to leave. The man said that we couldn't take pictures. We were taking pictures of my daughter for prom. I said I didn't know and apologized. I was talking to another parent in the group to give him directions to the park next door. The man said we had to leave now. We were already leaving and he pretty much shooed us out. He said people pay a lot of money to keep the place beautiful and pay to take pictures there. My husband and I were going to have dinner there after pictures, he was almost there when I asked him to meet us somewhere else and told him I don't ever want to go back again. This experience was a horrible way to start my daughter's prom night. I'm sure it will be remembered by us all for years to come. Every time I went there before, I would remember happy memories over the years. Many celebrations, anniversaries and birthdays were spent there with family and friends. I'm sorry Wine and Roses employs people who are rude to customers. I never experienced something like this here. I'm telling everyone I know about this horrible experience. We came here on Christmas for dinner not knowing what to expect and were very impressed with Wine & Roses. First, the event space was beautiful. We had to walk around after dinner to enjoy the scenery. Inside was also nicely decorated and they had a live piano player during dinner. The food and wine at the Town House restaurant was very good! The lamb shank was perfectly cooked and the seared salmon was among the best one of the guests had ever tasted. They have a fantastic assortment of appetizers (Dungeness crab cakes, Taste of Lodi sampler), great collection of local wines, and delicious dessert. From the moment we arrived the staff was phenomenal. They welcomed us, took pictures, provided solid recommendations, and were friendly, relaxed, and fun! Last weekend my fiance and I attended a wedding at Wine Roses. Of course my friend has amazing taste so we knew it would be a beautiful wedding, but that didn't stop us from being completely 'WOW'ed as we entered the property. We immediately saw chairs and people sitting for the ceremony on a lawn in front of a large tree, it was a little close to the parking lot for my taste but a lovely setting nonetheless. We found a seat and after a while realized that we didn't recognize anyone and the guests' age bracket seemed a bit off. So I quietly asked the gentleman next to me if we were at the correct wedding...low and behold we had unknowingly crashed someone else's ceremony! Oops! If you're going to have more than one wedding on your property at the same time, you should really consider putting up signs like 'John and Mary's Wedding Right Here' and 'Kyle and Sarah's Wedding Over There' LOL. Naturally, we got the heck out of there as fast as we could and found the wedding we were supposed to be at. Lucky for us they were running behind schedule or else we would have missed a good 10 minutes of the ceremony! Now this ceremony site definitely made a lot more sense to me. It was tucked away into a more private, intimate location with parking lots out of sight and no loud noises of passing cars. The landscaping was beautiful and the trees provided plenty of shade on a very warm day. After the 'I Do's, we walked 50 feet away to cocktail hour under a jazzed up tent with the most amazing built-in fans. Servers brought around wine, beer, signature cocktails, and yummy appetizers. And we were soon ushered into a gorgeous room for dinner and dancing. The room was spacious with a beautiful fireplace that made the otherwise large space feel very cozy. And then, the highlight of the night arrived with a fork and knife. I'm not sure if Wine and Roses does their own catering (I'm guessing they probably do) so I don't technically know who I should be giving this praise to, but seriously this was hands down the best wedding food I have ever eaten! I had Chicken Balentine which was wrapped in prosciutto and baked to moist perfection. My fiance had a Mushroom Ravioli that I can't stop raving about...it was rich and the texture was perfect! Anyways, we didn't get a room here that night, but we did hear from other guests that the rooms were beautiful and we are looking forward to coming back for a getaway at some point. I don't think I had ever been to Lodi before but I would definitely come back just to get the full experience with some spa treatments and wine tasting! This place is hands down the nicest spot in Lodi. While the Spa and Townhouse Restaurant are both excellent, this review is for my experience with the hotel only. My boyfriend and I visited in the month of February, during which the ran some romantic getaway specials on their website. I called to book in December, and many weekends were already filling up then. Here is what was included with our stay: - 1 night in a room with a king bed (beautiful!) - local bottle of wine (pleasant) - box of cookies (meh) - $230 of spa credit (best part of the stay) - wine tasting at the visitor's center (great!) - breakfast at the Townhouse the morning after (also great!) When I called to book the room, the front desk was well aware that the spa appointments book far in advance, so they actually transferred me to the spa to make my appointment there first before booking the room (just in case the spa was full for the service I wanted). I thought this was a nice touch and spoke to their knowledge of business as well as experience with customer service. We arrived early on check-in day, but our room (minus the wine and cookies) was ready, so we dropped off our stuff and went to the spa for a few hours. We came back to our wine and cookies laid out by the entrance. Our room was right by the spa, and it overlooked a garden with a little fountain. A cobblestone entry way/bathroom were unique little touches to the room. We did some wine tasting at the Visitor's Center, which is conveniently located right on site. They also have some cute wine- and olive oil-related knick knacks for sale. Our server there recommended a great sushi restaurant that we went to for dinner. After dinner, we walked around the grounds, which are beautifully decorated and well lit. They have many bird cages around, which my boyfriend loved looking at. They even have parrots that will carry on a short nonsensical conversation with you. Unlike the parrots, the employees here are super helpful and efficient. Great interactions with staff are important for every hotel stay, and I certainly appreciated that here. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Hotel Registration is at a more logical location... occupying a third of the building space where the Lodi Wine & Visitors Center ( http://www.yelp.com/biz/lodi-wine-and-visitor-center-lodi ) is situated. Where Hotel Registration / Restaurant Host used to be is now a formal Lounge / Bar - the space in front and East of that is a cozy, warm, fireplace lit area. Despite the attempt at organization, the entrance to this area will consist of entering / exiting Hotel Guests, Loungers & Bar Guests, along with Restaurant diners. Should have left the Bar where it was - at the rear of the Lounge, near the Fireplace... Wine - The last three times I've been here with my kids, we've always ordered a magnum bottle of White Zinfandel from Vino con Brio ( ***** http://www.yelp.com/bi... ), a local winery. Great! Appetizer - Tame & Wild Mushroom Veloute (**** 1/2) Very generous portions, with huge slices of Mushroom... HUGE slices! Commented to my kids that the Mushrooms do have a consistency like Abalone (that's good, BTW). Wine & Roses Autumn Salad (**** 1/2) Very impressive looking sweet salad from it's size to it's colorful presentation. Bread consisted of Rolls of two kinds - Ciabatta (****) and Multi-Grain (***) Rolls in a napkin-lined basket. The Ciabatta was the more popular Bread amongst our group. Butter must have been the unsalted, lite variety - lacking any Butter flavor. After the first basket, though... the busser was assigned the task of handing out single rolls to anyone needing more, which was me. Had to call him back for another re-fill of Bread... Message to Wine & Roses: Just leave the basket, next time. Entree - Pasta alla Carbonara (*****) Duroc Pork Smoked Breast ( www.compartduroc.com ), Fresh Egg Yolk, Pecorino Romano & Black Pepper. Not an entree for the meek and mild in the audience... very large strips of wide Noodles, generous portions of Smoked Pork... with an Egg Yolk in the half-shell atop the bowl of Pasta Carbonara. Half-portions available and suggested for most people... except me. You're assured that the Carbonara is made correctly in regards to the mixture of Raw Egg Yolk... because you are actually performing the mixture of Raw Eggs yourself! Carbonara comes in 1/2 Portions $10 or, if you're the Truck Driver type in fhe family... Full Order $18. The very Best Carbonara I've had... Duroc Pork slices thick with some fat left... which is how Carbonara should be made... and what I liked most - humongous portions! Drunk Short Ribs (*****) with Polenta & Carrot Vichy. You do not even need a knife for these Ribs! Wow! Scallop Sandwich (**** 1/2) A daily special... portions in line for the smaller appetite. After the meal... Creme Brulee (*****) A very tangy and citrus-y Creme Brulee, which was different but effective. Made superbly, with slices of Citrus Fruits atop the Creme Brulee. Nice. Coffee (****) Regular Coffee was better on previous visits. Service (****) - "Every time my kids and I have come here, either for Lunch or Dinner, the waiter has been congenial, conversant, and very, very friendly!" - This was the sentence I used when describing the experience with the waiter at our table in our previous visits. Wine & Roses, it seems, has hired a younger wait-staff... generally in their 20s, with the bussers just kids in college or high school. Our waiter consistently made suggestions on entrees and / or appetizers as in the first-person narrative... which turned me off completely. Phrases began with prefaces such as "I have tried...", "I have..." or "I suggest...". Otherwise she was totally unknowledgable and distant about anything else other than the Wine & Roses menu... But, I have to give her this... she was right-on on everything she suggested... The Busser took away my cup of Coffee after my first cup after the Lunch... but I usually have a couple of cups after a good meal. It wasn't until a few steps he took towards the kitchen that he realized his mistake... "Do you want another cup?" Nah, it's okay... Wait-Staff are dressed in small Gray vests, with pants and shirts in complementary Euro-influenced gray-green colors. $ (*****) Total: You've heard the phrase... "If you have to ask the price, you... ". This is as appropriate phrase you would use for any 5-Star up-scale restaurant. Average prices for Lunch Entrees $18, for Lunch Appetizers $14. Reservations highly suggested... restaurant filled up to 2/3 of capacity by end of meal with more people arriving... Also recommended... Dress-Up... we were the commoners in terms of dress during Lunch. My daughter-in-law, Robyn, recommended that I, on occasion, ride over here on my Bike and partake of the great entrees and dessert here... Indoors, the Garden Ballroom was lovely and spacious with a nice violet-based color scheme and open bar in the corner. Lodi is an up and coming wine region with many great little wineries. Wine and Roses Hotel is the perfect place to stay while visiting. The hotel grounds are beautiful and lush and well manicured. Our room was on the second floor and had a large private balcony. The room itself was painted in the colors of wine, deep purples, greens and blues. The rooms were comfortable, cozy and yet modern. We had a nice fireplace and plenty of room to be comfortable. The hotel was very quiet while we were there, yet most rooms were filled. The staff is great and our room was spotless. Attached to the registration office is the Lodi Visitor's Center with a tasting room. The tasting room offers 1/2 price tastings to hotel guests and they pour different wines from the wineries in the area. We loved walking the grounds, found some beautiful birds, gardens, big trees and gorgeous flowers. I highly recommend the Hotel while in Lodi. read more

They do a fabulous job of creating that perfect ambiance both indoors and outdoors. The restaurant has top quality food in the small historic house. You can dine outdoors on the patio when the weather is nice. There are rooms in the house you can stay in as well as more modern rooms. All are quite nice. This is a lovely setting for a wedding. To Russ and Kathryn Munson, I'm very disappointed to have experienced the apparent disregard for guest safety at your resort. I stayed at your facility four nights and enjoyed the nicely maintained facilities but key staff including management either are not aware of emergency protocols, don't know such protocols exist nor understand how to deal with a a potential fire, as alerted to by a fire alarm going off. This is a commercial establishment, apparently the fire alarm is not tied on to the Fire Department nor was the facility cleared. Instead, the alarm was merely shut off, again rooms were not cleared, nor were the guests advised. The lack of having a safety protocol, or if there is one, a protocol that was not followed is concerning as it left guests not vulnerable but potentially put in harm's way and potential fatal risks. Neither the night crew nor the day crew knew how to deal with a fire alarm going off, evacuate guests, steps to take to investigate, resolve, and communicate with guests. I relayed my concerns and was told twice that higher ranking management was informed; in fact the day supervisor assured me that she personally spoke to her Director, Art, who she stated would contact me. Art instead chose to ignore the voiced concern - feedback, if followed up on, that could and should be used as a learning opportunity - never contacted me. Spent two nights in April earlier this year and have mixed feelings about this place. The older portion of the hotel (upfront) has some nice gardens and areas to explore. Some nooks are quite pretty, but not very expansive. We didn't, however stay here, instead we were in the far back "newer" section. The decor looked brand new. Paint smelled new. Everything looked new! I generally love new things, except when they are done too quickly leaving quality in the dust. The bathroom can -lights, for example, looked very shoddy. The hole cut into the wall was obviously too large for the lights and instead of repairing the wall there were huge gaps between the can lights and wall. Yeah, I know. I'm nitpicking, but as a hotel you'd think they'd notice things like that. The furniture was also very cheap and mostly thin veneer. I don't imagine that to hold up well to many visitors. Overall, it looks like they tried, but the design elements just didn't match, which was peculiar. The parking lot/dumpster view also didn't help. Certain aspects of this place were fine, while others just seemed odd. It didn't help that they charged us twice after we specifically said to bill our business one night and our personal card the other. read more

The property is lovely, restaurant cozy, servers friendly. Prices are upscale as you'd expect at a place like this. The menu doesn't have a lot of veg/pescatarian friendly options, but there were enough to pick from. I wanted to love this place, but was left feeling meh. - Started with the Caesar salad- nice crisp romaine spears and love the white anchovies. I had asked for dressing on the side, was told no problem, but my salad came coated with an amount that was way too heavy for my taste. - I ordered the salmon thinking it would be a veg-forward dish based on the description. The rich veloute tasted of butter and cream, but no hint of cauliflower. The cream sauce and generous amount of potatoes made for a heavy dish that I didn't want to finish. There were a few tiny beets and carrots, and the sprigs of kale were so few and hidden that I wouldn't even call it a garnish. Fish (served skin on) was cooked well and though the presentation was pretty on a tear-shaped plate, it's not one I would order again. - I let my dining companions select dessert. The apple tart was good for one bite (a bit too sweet for me) and the buttermilk ice cream had an icy texture that I didn't expect. If there was honey, I didn't notice. The coconut cake was cupcake shaped and VERY dense with a super sweet cream on top. I did enjoy the coconut ice cream- not too sweet, nice and creamy. Since I was staying for a few nights, I also stopped for breakfast one morning. I was underwhelmed by the $6 cup of fruit with a few thin slices of apple and a couple of berries. Though the ambiance is wonderful at this resort, I'd venture off site next visit to try a different restaurant. read more

Meet up with a girlfriend for brunch. We were greeted and seated right away and choose to be seated outside. The surrounds at Wine and Roses is breathtaking and provided for a very relaxed experience. I ordered the french toast and coffee and my friend order something with eggs (?). The food was severed within about 15 minutes and was beautiful displaced. The french toast was okay, nothing great nothing nasty. Almost tasted as if it was made with stale bread pudding. The pricing was bad and the customer service was good. read more

I had some spa services here and it was great. I paid cash and gave the lady 2 $100 bills, 2 $20and 2 $1 (total was $142), when I thought I only gave her one $100 bill. I left and went straight to get gas, realizing I was missing a $100 bill. I freaked, looked all over my car and thought, crap, I accidentally gave it to the lady at wine and roses. I thought "theres a high chance they might not even say its there, cuz it's cash" I called, and McKenna (who answered), told me that "yes my $100 was there). I am super thankful that they are a honest business. The people at the spa are amazing and welcoming. Will definitely return. read more

Over the last few years my company has put on a product show here. We needed a place that was not only available but was well priced and had great facilities and service.... well we found it...What a great place in Lodi... Wine & Roses is top notch!! The grounds are beautiful, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the restaurant and bar is great. Honestly there isn't much in Lodi but Wine & Roses feels like a little oasis in the middle of a small town. The rooms are very well designed and have great finishes and are super cozy. I haven't had a bad stay here yet and we are slated to be back in February and I'm looking forward to my stay again. The room pricing isn't too bad considering the quality of the hotel and the town it's in. They also have a top quality spa so book yourself a massage when you come here. See you in February and go Mohawk Flooring!!! read more

I love coming here because of the masseuses and estheticians- my favorites, Lorraine and heather. Only complaint is, the FRONT DESK! I come once a month or every other month, it's always new people who don't know how to service. Maybe they need more training? read more

I love wine and roses! The ambiance is always great and the rooms are awesome! It's the perfect place for a quick getaway if you live in the Bay Area or surrounding cities! Lodi is so accessible! I especially love the fact that the proximity to downtown Lodi is close and the staff is always helpful with helping to find nee wine tasting places! This is really a combination review of both the hotel and the restaurant. W&R is truly a special place. It's certainly the nicest place to stay in the central valley, and serves some of the best food that we've had in Northern California. I can't say enough about how polished and on point this place is, and it really starts at the top with the owners. They just know how to run a great service business. HOTEL: We've stayed here a bunch the past few years. Everybody at the front desk has a smile, super cordial, accommodating, and helpful. Excellent service, especially from Beau...that kid just knows how to treat his guests. I doubt there's much he wouldn't do for someone. The rooms are always in perfect shape, super clean, warm, inviting. There's a modern touch to the rooms which we like, comfy beds, clean simple lines, bright and wonderful. Usually we don't want to leave our rooms...but how am I NOT gonna take a trip to the spa or the restaurant and bar. The amenities are wonderful, spa, resto, bar, pool, and some of the most beautiful, well cared for grounds we've been to in Northern California. Attention is clearly in the details here. RESTAURANT: If you need a restaurant with a clear vision of who they are, and what they're trying to accomplish in the kitchen, then this is place. And it starts with Chef Didier. The guy is world class, super imaginative, extremely precise, careful, playful, borderline wine genius, and a real steward of Lodi. There's no way to review my meals, because I've had so many. But each one is crafted with local Lodi produce, and wonderful foods sourced within a few miles of the restaurant. And that includes the wine and beer as well. Such painfully careful attention to this craft, its always a pleasure to dine here. Staff is the best, pianist Kim is magical, and the owners Russ & Kathy can always be seen hanging out for a laugh and a glass of wine. What a great way to spend some free time. Get here. read more

I can not say enough about this venue!! My oldest daughter got married here last Friday! From the word Go, Charina was amazing. Then we got our wedding specialist Patti!! Wow, Patti is an amazing lady! She is there for you every step of the way! Everything beat our expectations!!She runs a tight ship and keeps us stress free and the wedding flowing and joyful!! I stayed here for a quick getaway and the customer service was great the lady who booked my hotel was very helpful. The hotel we stayed in room 50 was clean and I absolutely loved the water fall off the patio, but what I hated was the sounds of the washing machines running all night I just couldn't sleep I'm assuming they were washing machines, they were so loud. We had a girls night here and it was amazing! We arrived and checked in, the front desk gal was really sweet and went over the map of the property and where to find things. The room was very spacious and had a cute porch with chairs and a table. I slept so good, super cozy! We had reservations for the spa and what a treat! Kelsey was my therapist and it was heaven. I enjoyed every minute, you are amazing! All of the staff at the spa were very friendly. After our spa we went to have dinner at the restaurant on-site and our waitress Maya was spectacular!! She made all of the dishes sound so good and had great ideas for pairing wine and other drinks. Very attentive even while serving a large party. Sadly we only got to stay one night here but I can't wait to come back!! Amazing staff and the grounds are breathtaking, all of the fresh flowers and manicured bushes.
