Our family of four and a few friends visited on a Monday in November. The weather was incredibly comfortable at approximately 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius). A thin light jacket would suffice for later in the evening. The theme park is clean and equipped with water stations for people to replenish their bottles. There are also plenty of bathrooms and we did not have to wait in line. For lunch, we dined in at the Plaza Inn. Five of us shared two orders of siu mai with scallop, one order of custard bun, braised e-fu noodles, sweet and sour pork, and stir-fried chili peppers with black bean garlic sauce. The food was freshly made and very flavorful. Service was attentive and friendly. For a theme park, lunch at less than $30 per person is reasonable. For dinner, we dined in at the Royal Banquet Hall. We were not particularly hungry so the five of us shared the baked pork chop rice and sizzling platter with steak, chicken, sausage, green beans, and fries. The portions were fairly large but we cleared everything. The pork chop is very tender. The sizzling platter was mediocre but it was nice to have some greens and the kids would never reject French fries. As for entertainment, our young girls, 6.5 and 5 years old, checked off everything that they liked. The average wait for the rides was mostly around 20 minutes so it was very reasonable and manageable. In addition to rides, my girls also enjoyed the shows, parade, and fireworks. They did most of the walking on their own until the last hour and they fell asleep before the firework show started. We had to wake them up by giving them chocolate so they could enjoy a few minutes of fireworks before we left to get a head start and beat the crowd to the MTR.

After visiting the one in Orlando, I Was very excited to visit another Disneyland. Our taxi ride to the park was breeze, took about 25 minutes from Wan Chai. They have a massive parking lot, took about 10 minutes walk to get to the entrance. It was a hot and humid walk. Umbrellas, sunscreens, hand held electric fans, light clothing, extra shirts (to change) all are highly recommended, if you are visiting during summer months. To enter the park, first we went thru the security line, which was pretty quick. Then was the ticket checking line that was super slow, as they were scanning tickets and taking photos of each guests. This process took about 20 minutes, finally we were in. Just like Orlando, here also the experience begins with lots of gift and merchandise stores, few cafes, a Starbucks, and a Disney themed jewelry store, cause it's Hong Kong, got to have a jewelry store. After passing all this, we arrived at the walkway that led to different sections of the park. We started our day with Agent of Shield laser shooting experience, followed by the Ironman 4D experience where we sit in a battleship that went on a mission with Ironman to take down Hydra. Both were amazing, but Ironman one was too good. Lines moved quickly and for Ironman they incorporated so much of the history and cool tech details of Stark family and Stark industry. Then we went to see a live action Disney characters show, followed by some more rides like Small world (same as Orlando) Dumbo, Merry Go Round, another Mickey mouse movies and Slinky ride in Toystoryland. As the day progressed, it got hotter and lines got longer. We had to wait 35-45 minutes for each ride, and sadly the rides were so short, about 30-40 seconds. They had priority pass for purchase but it only covered 8 rides, wasn't worth for the price. I saw many guests were busy stamping their Disney passport, that offered a special gift for anyone who completed the whole thing. There were also gift shops in each themed area of the park. Around noon we went to the Starbridge restaurant for lunch. The inside of the restaurant was packed, not a single available. Luckily we found a table outside under the shaded roof area. Luckily this place took mobile order from Disney app, that saved us about another 15 minutes of waiting in line. Still we had to wait 10 minutes to get our turn to retrieve our mobile order, as it was put together, only after scanning your order code. They made cool burgers with buns having marvel characters like Hulk, Spiderman, Ironman, Groot. There were selling special drinks that came in a special Avenger water bottle. The food was more exciting to look at than how it tasted. I really thought food at HK Disney would be amazing, but was just average. Dining options were also limited, only couple of others had sit-in dining options, but all those required waiting in line. From an experience perspective, I thought it fell well below than what I was expecting. For the heat and humidity, they installed fans only around the waiting aisles of each ride but throughout park there were no fans or mist sprays for guests to cool down. Most of the on the go food carts and gift shops inside the park, started closing around 6:30 pm, even though the park was open till 9:30pm, and the fireworks was at 9pm. The gift shops near entrance were packed 7pm and beyond. It was difficult to walk through the aisles. And of course 15-20 minutes wait time to get to the register to buy anything. Though the young ones had a lot of fun at the park, for me this park was far away from a magical experience. They have lots of room the improve and make it a far better experience for guests who spend a lot time and money to visit the park.

We have visited other Disney parks in FL and Japan. Hong Kong Disney is somewhat not up to the bar. Along the park or waiting in line, there's no cooling systems like water mist or trees. It's really brutal for kids and elders. We have hats and portable fans but still really bad. I feel they cut the time on all the rides due to high volume of visitors. Each ride is like 30-60secs top. Shopping is pretty good compared to FL and Tokyo. Variety of items and many stores to shop. Food options are good. I like my Ironman burger. Overall a ok Disney park for me.

First time visiting HK Disneyland. It is considered the smallest Disneyland. If you are staying in central HK, the MRT from the main station is about a 45-60 minutes ride and you need to transfer once. It's not bad and if you're experienced with navigating Japan's subway, it's pretty much exactly the same in HK. First thing first, the park is open at 10:30am and closes at 8:30pm. There are no parades but there is a firework show at night which I didn't bother staying for and I will explain why later. I purchased my tickets on Klook beforehand and it was about $90 per adult. I also went on a Wednesday with no holiday for that date. We arrived at the location at 9:50am and there were already a lot of people. The line to get through the security check was very long and there were about 5 booths opened. Each line was equally long. We finally got past the entrance and got into the park at 10:45am. You can bring water bottles and snacks into Disneyland but no glass bottles or containers. They will ask you to throw it away. Also most people in HK speak English very well. They were helpful and friendly when we have questions regarding navigation. Anyways, we quickly walked straight to the World of Frozen which was their "latest" area. The area was disappointing. It was very small and not much to see. Elsa's ice castle is tiny and tucked away in the background that is not accessible. If you are not waiting in line for the rides, it would take no more than 5 minutes to look around. Again, not much to see and the building designs were unimpressive. There are 2 rides in that area. Frozen Ever After is like Splash Mountain/Tiana's Bayou. The other ride, Wandering Oaken's Sliding Sleighs, was the shortest roller coaster ride in the park. It was like a 30 seconds ride and was not worth the 40 minutes wait. It turned to 90 minutes at peak hours. The park has a handful of thrill rides. I enjoyed Hyperspace and Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars. Hyperspace was a classic and was fast. I love fast roller coaster rides. The Hyperspace in Tokyo Disneyland was closed the time I went. The mine cars ride was awesome. Some parts surprised me where it went backwards and then turbo speed. Mystic Manor is a fun twist to the Haunted Mansion. The story is different and the ride was fun. It's not meant to be scary but the ride does get dark and loud. Tarzan's treehouse and raft ride were closed. I only been to Tokyo Disneyland/Disneysea a couple of years ago. I also been to Disneyland in LA but that was 19 years ago. Tokyo Disneyland is my favorite out of the 3. However it is getting very crowded since Fantasy Spring opened up. Whoever said that HK Disneyland is the least busiest and there's no crowds are either trolling or was lucky to have gone on slow day. Again, I went on a Wednesday with no holiday and the place was packed. No different from crowds at Tokyo Disneyland. The lines for all rides and all restaurants were 40+ minutes long. The staffs were also less enthusiastic working there. I have a few cases where some people behind me would try to sneak or cut in front of me. One time a guy boldly just shove through everyone at Mystic Manor because he was tired of waiting. The staffs witnessed it but did nothing to control the line or the people that keep trying to cut in line. Overall, the magic did seem to die down for me after a couple of hours. I skipped some rides because the line was just too long and I do not want to pay extra for the fast pass. HK Disneyland is quite small and each area was small too so we were able to walk around the whole park in an hour. The foods like any other Disneyland is subpar. Cute for photos but doesn't taste good. We left early because we basically exhaust all there is to do there.

Another wonderful place off my bucket list! Got a chance to visit another "Happiest Place on Earth", Hong Kong Disney! We stayed at a nearby hotel in Tung Chung, and took a local tram here from a connecting Hong Kong MTR subway. It was quite convenient. It took around thirty minutes total. Even though Hong Kong Disney was ten times smaller than the Orlando Disney World, it was still a very enjoyable adventure. The park wasn't as crowded like we thought since it started raining during the day, so the rides are less than an hour wait. Precisely around 30 to 40 minutes. But we bought fast passes, (which wasn't really needed) to by-pass the lines even more. So our wait was more like 15 to 20 minutes. The rides here seems shorter and slower compared to the other Disney parks. For example, their Space Mountain which they called Hyperspace Mountain with more of a Star Wars theme, was fast, but not as fast as the other parks, however, very rugged in fast turns, where you might lean more. Lol. It was still fun! So basically all the rides are not as scary (feeling the G-force) compared to Disney World in Orlando, or Disneyland in Anaheim. The whole point of this trip is the experience and trying to get on almost every ride. Yes, eating the food too. People here are very friendly as well. The employees are all smiling and ready to assist. The general public is also nice, but you must accept them pushing you, shoving, and cutting you off in line. They don't mean any harm, but rather it's culturally accepted. Belive me, I was pushed, stepped on, elbowed, by children, and moms at the Fireworks Show during the evening. LOL. The park is very clean. Rarely you see trash on the ground. The irony is there aren't many trash cans around either. I think most families are there to eat and chill out. They mainly go to shows. Because that's where the long lines are located. However, I could also be wrong because it was raining and breezy. Not your typical park day. The food was okay. I dare to say it's more like cafeteria food. We were just there to fill our stomachs with unexciting food. Their Caramel Popcorn was fresh and delicious though! Overall, a great experience. I don't know if I would come back, because I think Disneyland in Anaheim, CA and the Orlando Disney World is certainly much much much better. I dare to say the Tokyo Disney is much better too. So I'll give this place a strong 4 Stars.

So happy I got to experience Disney in a different country! I enjoyed hearing the characters speak in Cantonese too. The lines weren't as long as the parks in the US. But also there weren't a lot of rides either. Park is relatively small. The biggest downside is there weren't many actors to take photos with. I literally only saw Snow White and got a photo with her. The fireworks show was cancelled due to the recent events in Hong Kong. However, they are offering anyone that bought tickets from Nov. 27 - Dec. 1 a chance to use it again within 6 months as a compensation. It's nice and convenient for locals, but if you're a foreigner...looks like there will be another overseas trip for you.

Hong Kong Disneyland is definitely on the smaller side, but it's such a fun spot for adults and especially younger kids. Getting there is super convenient. You can just take the MTR, and the Disney-themed train is such a cute, memorable touch. The park itself felt spacious and not overly crowded. Most ride wait times were around 30-40 minutes, and some had no line at all. (Maybe I went on a day that wasn't so busy.) The rides aren't scary. Very kid-friendly and easygoing. The food? Just okay, nothing to write home about, but it did the job. We spent a lot of time browsing the shops, and I left with some cute new headbands, so no complaints there! If you have little ones or just want a chill Disney day, it's worth a visit.

I paid $100 USD for the premium experience & fireworks area because I didn't know how long the lines would be on Christmas day. On average in the AM it was 10-15 mins because IMO everyone was doing their meet & greets. Frozen was probably the longest with a 40 mins wait. With the premier pass it was just a few minutes. Caramel popcorn was the best thing I ate in the Park. The chocolate covered churros were dry and overcooked. Corndogs are regular size and not the US American jumbo dogs. Turkey legs had no smoky smell and looked baked so I skipped on it. The 20 oz sodas all felt under carbonated but that might be a HK preference. Smaller Park experience with not as many merch stores as I thought they'd have. Had a Sea World feel to it with most of the items being spread throughout the Park and not themed to the location. When we left and planned on coming back the cast member said they were not stamping hands but instead to take a selfie if front of the Park with the Mickey floral. Made us laugh because it seemed so archaic. When we returned another cast member did not honor it and scanned our tickets again.

Just like all the other international Disney parks I had no expectations and enjoyed my time. All of the international parks are smaller than California. This location features Duffy and friends which is popular in Asia, especially Japan. I liked that there was no timed reservation for the popular rides because on the Japan Disney app we had to select a time and once it's done it's done and sold out. This allowed us to finally go on Frozen Ever After!! This was a very fun ride. I also loved Hyperspace Mountain, Iron Man experience, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle. Other rides we went on was Slinky Dog Ride, Mad-Hatter Tea Cups, It's a Small World, Wandering Oaken Sleigh Ride, Dumbo and more. We went for a couple days which was nice to not rush for the rides. We ate at whatever places was near by for each of the rides instead of scheduling a reservation. It felt like there wasn't as many food karts around. We saw the parade, shows, and we saw the end of the night fireworks show. For characters we saw Mickey Mouse, Aurora, Iron man, Anna and Elsa. We were able to celebrate Disney's 20th anniversary for HongKong and the Christmas decor for a magical feel. We went on 1/2 and 1/3 which was little crowds and weather was around 70 degrees for the high so it was enjoyable. Prices are the standard expensive Disney prices! Would come back again!

My first visit to Hong Kong Disneyland was several years ago. I'm an annual pass holder now and I really like this theme park. I heard all of this negativity and kind of still do. I think a lot of it is from people that may not have even been here before though. I've heard someone say that HKDL doesn't have a castle, when in fact the HK castle is much larger and nicer than DL's. I've heard how HKDL is the smallest of the Disney parks. I looked into this and someone even did thorough research on the park sizes. They found that you can't go by Disney's numbers because they strangely aren't measuring the same things for each park. For example, some figures are for the theme park, while others are for the whole resort. After doing more accurate analysis, you'll see that HKDL is actually in the middle of pack for Disney parks (sizewise). Anyhow, HKDL has a great original feel. A lot of it has that nice familiar feel but they are able to still give it its own life.

Hong Kong Disney is quite lovely. Much smaller than the other parks you might visit but still a full day of fun. I liked experiencing Hong Kong's take on Disney's classic Main Street and seeing the versions of It's A Small World and the Disney castle. There are loads of unique rides and areas like the Marvel, Frozen and Moana section that help show both sides - the classic Disney and the more recent additions like you might see at the larger parks. The Bear Mine Cart ride was phenomenal and a must-ride for adults or older children. We had fun with collecting stamps around the park trying to fill out the Disney passport and bought a buddy to ride around on our shoulders as is popular these days. The MTR takes you directly to the park via a special Disney-only train car that lets the fun begin straight from the start. I had heard so much commentary about how this park is so small compared to the others, but we easily found a full day of fun in some ways you can imagine it's actually nice being a smaller part since some of the larger ones really are a struggle to try to see all the things you want to see and do with a short time. The fireworks, light and drone show at the end of the day was phenomenal. I definitely recommend staking out a good spot a little ahead of time and staying doe the show.

Visited HKG this past July/Aug, so I wanted to experience Disneyland here! My bf & I decided to go for a 2-day park ticket because we weren't sure if we'd have enough time & energy to explore the entire park in one day, lol. Unfortunately, on the day of our reservation, there was a rainstorm, so it was POURING for the most part. We did go to HKG at the worst possible time of the year--seasonally, lol. Would I recommend going around this time? Most definitely not. It was so hot & humid even with the rain. Upon arrival, we had to go buy ponchos & an umbrella at a gift shop stand outside of the entrance. Once we made it in to the park, I noticed that there's not much of a difference from this park in comparison to the Disneyland in California, except the fact that this is one whole park itself, whereas CA has Disneyland & California Adventure. Due to the rainstorm, the park was pretty empty, so the wait times for rides were between 10-40 mins depending on attractions. I personally felt like each ride was very, very short. It felt like the rides would last for about less than a minute to under 2 mins. They also require you to remove your rain ponchos for the ride even when it is raining, so that caught me by surprise, lol. I was fully expecting to catch a cold after visiting this park since we were entering & exiting lines for rides that led us into structures that had AC & then back into the heat. Also, I would suggest being aware of your surroundings while waiting in lines. We had an encounter with a young boy who sneakily made his way around cutting every one of us in line when we were waiting for a ride in Toy Story land which caused some groups to get upset. No one really questioned it because you would just assume that he was trying to get back to his family, but this was not the case. He made it all the way up to the front when all of us had waited for almost 40 mins without being stopped by a worker. Because of this, I think it's necessary for them to have more workers on site to prevent this from happening to others. There were no workers to flag down while we were waiting, so he got away with it. During our visit, we decided to eat at a restaurant there. We ordered the Hulk burger meal with a side of potato wedges & apple juice. For snacks, we got corn on the cob, caramel popcorn with dried bananas & pineapples, & a churro. I personally really enjoyed the popcorn. The dried fruit was a plus! It came in a cute 20 year anniversary container. Aside from the rides & food, we explored many of the gift shops. As a hoarder of many collections, I was very excited for this because I know that each Disney has their own Disney exclusive items, LOL. Might've done a lot of shopping here for myself personally & for family + friends, but I have no regrets, HAHA. I can finally cross this Disney location off of my bucket list! Overall, I do agree that this park is quite small, but I have yet to visit the other locations except for the one in CA.

It feels so surreal for someone like me who's always visited the Orlando park. Here, everything is so well organized, the food is fresh and healthy, and the atmosphere feels balanced. The contrast is striking, people are respectful, everything runs smoothly, and the overall experience is genuinely impressive.
Hong Kong Disneyland is very small, compared to the other Disney parks, but it's very easy to do all the rides and see some shows all in one day! We did not need a fast pass (we went during a slow period), though we did do early entry (which cost extra) but probably could have accomplished everything without it. I am a former Disneyland pass holder and have been to the parks in Florida a few times. In comparison, HK Disneyland is very easy to get to since they have an MTR station that stops right at the park. We stayed at the Explorer's Lodge and were able to use the free shuttle bus to the park. With early entry, we were able to do the Frozen Ever After, Wandering Oaken's Sliding Sleds and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride all before the park opening. My daughter wanted to do a character meet and greet, which we queued up for as soon as we got into the park. The Disney parks in Asia have a set of characters unique to these parks and the character meet and greet waits can go up to 2 hours, so this was a bonus. We made sure to ride Mystic Manor, Frozen Ever After and the Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway MineCars twice since we don't have these in Anaheim. Food was a mixed bag. Some places were closed so we ate at the Explorer's Club, which had a semi-buffet. Food was ok but it was nice to have a sit-down lunch. The snacks were better - like the Lotso waffle sandwich, Korean grilled squid and the HK-Style Flavored Tea Slush with soft serve. We even caught a couple of shows - Festival of the Lion King and Mickey and the Wondrous Book. They are both good, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Mickey and the Wondrous Book. If you are a family with small kids, this is probably the easiest of the Disney parks to visit! read more

I came on a Saturday and was very pleasantly surprised by the wait times. The longest lines were only 30 minutes, the average wait time was only 15 minutes. It's a much smaller park than the California Disneyland that I grew up with, but that was really nice as well; nothing felt rushed. We arrived at opening and by 2:30 had gone on just about every ride. They had a lot of character interactions and many shows around the park. It's not as expensive as US Disney parks either - that's a huge perk! read more
Hong Kong Disneyland offers a very enjoyable and unique Disney experience. You can access the park easily by train which drops you off directly at the entrance. We chose to take a taxi instead and the ride was just over 20 minutes across the water which was still very convenient. One of the biggest highlights is the shorter wait times compared to Disneyland in the US. The park feels much more spacious and less congested as you move between each section, even though the rides themselves are just as exhilarating. The region exclusive merchandise is a huge plus and makes shopping feel more special. Unlike the US parks, adults here often dress up and you are allowed to bring tripods and larger cameras which adds to the overall atmosphere. The food, snacks and drinks are also very reasonably priced. Fast passes are relatively inexpensive and can be well worth it on weekends. We were able to skip a few 60 minute plus lines for about 30 dollars which felt like a great value. Overall, Hong Kong Disneyland is a fun, relaxed and well designed park. If you like Disney, this is definitely a must try experience. read more

I skipped some rides because the line was just too long and I do not want to pay extra for the fast pass. HK Disneyland is quite small and each area was small too so we were able to walk around the whole park in an hour. The foods like any other Disneyland is subpar. Cute for photos but doesn't taste good. We left early because we basically exhaust all there is to do there. read more
Another wonderful place off my bucket list! So I'll give this place a strong 4 Stars. read more

It's nice and convenient for locals, but if you're a foreigner...looks like there will be another overseas trip for you. read more

If you have little ones or just want a chill Disney day, it's worth a visit. read more
I paid $100 USD for the premium experience & fireworks area because I didn't know how long the lines would be on Christmas day. When we returned another cast member did not honor it and scanned our tickets again. read more

Would come back again! read more
My first visit to Hong Kong Disneyland was several years ago. A lot of it has that nice familiar feel but they are able to still give it its own life. read more

I definitely recommend staking out a good spot a little ahead of time and staying doe the show. read more

Definitely the world's smallest Disneyland by a significant margin. The cost is not bad for a Disneyland, but you can definitely get through all the rides in a single day, maybe even a half day. One of my favorite areas is the Frozen section, the aesthetics there is nicely done, and beautiful. Most shows are also worth watching. Transportation is a hassle, especially when it is time to leave after the fireworks show as hordes of people try to get to the MTR. read more
Visited HKG this past July/Aug, so I wanted to experience Disneyland here! Overall, I do agree that this park is quite small, but I have yet to visit the other locations except for the one in CA. read more

It feels so surreal for someone like me who's always visited the Orlando park. Here, everything is so well organized, the food is fresh and healthy, and the atmosphere feels balanced. The contrast is striking, people are respectful, everything runs smoothly, and the overall experience is genuinely impressive. read more
Hong Kong Disneyland is tiny compared to all the other Disney locations around the world. This isn't a bad thing but the reality of space in Hong Kong. Growing up I didn't get to go to Disneyland like other kids because I had to study a lot. Sucks being dumb huh? Lol. As I got older, I realized my dad hasn't been to one his entire life so I decided to surprise him and take him to one. We even ordered a Mickey shirt that said "DAD" and some Mickey ears prior to going. Mink and I got Mickey attire too so we could take a nice photo together. Yes, I'm super Chinese and ordered it early to save some money. It's crazy expensive if we purchased in Disneyland lol. At his age, this Disneyland is perfect because he gets to visit and not have to exhaust himself trying to see everything. Thankfully the weather cooperated with us long enough on the day we took him to visit. The Disney themed MTR car was a nice touch taking guests into the park. Cost to enter varies on the day you go and if you're a Hong Kong resident or not. We were able to walk around the entire park, pick up some souvenirs, ride 4 rides and he got to try their famous turkey leg. The last ride was when the weather started to turn on us and it started to pour. Perfect timing as we were already planning to leave. Yes, we got rained on (mainly me because I let my dad, sister and Mink use the umbrellas) but it was worth it to see my dad's face visiting Disneyland for the first time. Priceless memory and awesome place to visit. read more
I never thought this Disneyland is small. Only this time when I brought my kids that I realized it. You can finish all the rides in like 4 hours since the wait is like 10 - 20 minutes. Except for the Frozenland which just opened that the line is an hour. I am not complaining though. My kids have enjoyed their visit and even went twice on a same ride. We waited for the fireworks display. (Which I never did on my previous visits). And It was magical and beautiful. The highlight of our visit. We enjoyed our meal. I tried the Hulk Burger. And It was filling and big. The Theme Park is accessible. *If you're using the Sunny Bay Express better get a ticket when you just arrived. Going to MTR is a zoo just after the fireworks display. read more
I kept hearing that Hong Kong Disneyland is small but I was able to spend the whole day there and still had stuff I didn't get to. I purchased the early entry to get into World of Frozen and it was totally worth it to beat the crowd. I got my ticket on Klook and for $3 more, I was able to get the promo ticket that came with a shoulder plush of choice. I visited on a weekday and most rides had a wait of 30 minutes or less aside from the Frozen rides. Aside from the Frozen boat ride, my favorites were Grizzly Mountain and Mystic Manor. Cast Members weren't as friendly as those in Tokyo, I'd say more similar to those in the States. Definitely stay for the fireworks show at the end of the day but be patient because everyone heads to the exit and MTR at the same time. The park in general can use better crowd control after shows. read more

The girlfriend insisted on coming to Disneyland, but honestly, I was lukewarm about it. After all, we are Californians and lived within a 35 min drive to Disneyland but didn't have the desire to go as i am not into the Disney magic. The girlfriend said this is HK Disney and you only pay 1/3 of the costs & can eat Chinese food instead of the cold burgers & fries they serve you in Anaheim. Turns out i had a good time today. The park was clean. The food was decent. The staff was friendly. Everything is much cheaper even though I was forced to spend money I didn't want to spend on souvenirs & gifts. Sighhh. read more
I believe Hong Kong's Disney is the smallest in the world but it's still worth checking out. Especially with the new Frozen land that we didn't get to see this visit! There's also a huge fanbase for Duffy here so expect a ton of merchandise for the bear. We bought both the ticket and the Disney Premiere Access online on Klook prior to our visit. We went on a Sunday and I was so worried that the park would be packed. I'm not sure what the reason was but it was completely empty! Maybe it had something to do with the typhoon two days ago or the fact that school was starting the next day, but if I had to wait in lines with the August heat, I don't know how long I would've lasted in the park. Because of the nearly empty park, the longest we had to wait for any ride was 10 minutes! Unheard of for the parks back in the States. We didn't even use our Premiere Access for anything because there was no point. So I highly recommend just buying the access pass when you're in the park and you can assess whether or not you even need it. Most of the major rides are just completely unique to Hong Kong's Disney or it's a variation of other park's. Basically everything on the Disney Premiere Access is a must-do and they'll be the most popular ones too so plan ahead. The park does a relaxed rope drop, meaning the park partially opens in the morning and slowly opening the rest an hour later. Because of this, go to Marvel rides first and then travel the park counter-clockwise. Easily doable in a day, at least for us we were able to because of the fast lines. Food was alright...we didn't get to try anything that stood out. There's supposed to be pretty good (and expensive) dim sum in the hotel area that requires advance reservations. There was a dole whip/strawberry float that was pretty good but I'm not sure if it's a seasonal item. read more

A quick MTR ride from Hong Kong to Lantau Island this iteration of the Magic Kingdom is sized down from Anaheim or Orlando, but a good value in comparison. Featuring some unique rides, food and Souvenirs there's easily enough to spend a day doing here. No pirates. No haunted mansion. No goofy. No pluto. A bit too much Frozen and Marvel, and the longest line was only 35 minutes. read more
Writing this from the point of view of an American traveling to HK. Came here yesterday with party of 2, we bought tickets online directly through the HK Disney website which gave us QR codes for entry. Price was $799 HKD (about $102 US dollars) per person since it was a Friday (usually in the $600s if you go on a less busy lower tier weekday). Overall had a really positive experience, we arrived at around 11:15am and stayed until closing, and were able to do all of the following: Mystic Manor Hyperspace Mountain Ant man and wasp Iron man experience Playhouse in the woods Frozen Ever After Wandering Oaken Sliding Sleighs It's a Small World Festival of the King show Mickey and the Wondrous Book Winnie the Pooh Fireworks (but we left a bit earlier to beat the exit crowd rush). So overall, I think you could do the entire park in 1 day if you're a good planner and fast walker, 2 days if you want to do every single show and ride and meet all the characters with your kids. For me as a young adult, 1 day was enough. Pros: - REALLY WELL DONE SHOWS - the shows beat out the rides for sure - the production level of Mickey and the Wondrous book and the Festival of the Lion King were Broadway-level in talent and splendor, strongly recommend attending these. And they're mostly in English too! - really impressive signage throughout the park in a "we are not liable" sense lol, lots of warnings about drops and who should/shouldn't ride rides - pretty good map and HK Disney app - strongly recommend downloading this because it has realtime wait times for all the rides, scheduled showtimes for entertainment, and can show you where you are in the park with the map - free WiFi in the park - really delicious food options that were served quickly - we had sushi at the royal banquet hall and I had udon at comet cafe, all came out very quickly and were affordable park food options compared to Disneyland in America. The soft serve was really good - really kind and helpful cast members/staff. I had a moment where I didn't book a standby pass for my husband for playhouse in the woods, and the cast member helped me do it on the spot and let him in even though it was for a later time, so we could experience it together! And most of the cast members (especially those helping on rides) appeared multi-lingual too, speaking Cantonese, Mandarin and English - very air-conditioned indoor facilities, and every bathroom I used was pretty clean (much cleaner than American Disney parks) - some unique attractions not at other Disney parks, including Frozen Land and Mystic Manor, both of which were very well done. - everything is a close walk from one ride to the next, since the park size is pretty small compared to other Disney parks (smallest in the world I think) - so this is good if you have slow kids or are taking older family members - very accessible by taxi, MTR public transportation, etc. doesn't cost too much to get here from the main Hong Kong island area Cons: - not really a true con - but you may be disappointed if you're used to Florida DisneyWorld because this place is small - small castle and small everything. - my husband is a tall white man and he was pretty uncomfortable on most of the seated rides, since they're not really made for anyone who's close to 6ft tall or taller (tough to put the bar down on the coaster rides like space mountain and the sleighs - the sliding sleigh ride was 15 seconds long, way too short and not thrilling at all (and overall the rides are not "thrilling" despite the descriptions - but this in comparison to American expectations and this is a first world problem. The Chinese and Filipino tourists around me all thought it was very thrilling :)) - if you're mostly a Western traveler, the decreased personal space can be tough, and it can get very crowded and feel claustrophobic in the small spaces (even if the park isn't crowded and wait times are short) - not really a con to Disneyland's fault, but be prepared to come with an umbrella for the hot sun and the random bouts of raining Overall, for the price of ~$100 US dollars per person, it was a pretty fun day and I wouldn't mind coming again - the small size actually made the park easier to do in one day with less pressure to over-exert yourself, you can really take your time and stroll. It's beautiful overall and the food was good, and we stayed ultimately for the entertainment shows. Definitely recommend coming on a weekday so you can make the most of it! read more

tl;dr: Buy your tickets on Klook for a discount and download the DLHL app to get live wait times. Skip Premier Access and make sure to watch Wonderous Book and ride Mystic Manor. Easy to travel to from the MTR. From Central station, it takes about 30min. For those used to US prices, Disneyland HK is much more affordable (~$80 USD) and you can get cheaper tickets on Klook. Also, there's less planning ahead you need as the park is smaller (can probably walk from Main Street to Frozen in 10minutes, which is the furthest line) and lines are much shorter. On busy days, lines might be 30minutes, but 5-20min may be more the average. There is no Genie+, but Premier Access that isn't worth it given the shorter overall wait times. We made the unfortunate decision to go on one of the rainiest days in HK during our stay (amber and red alerts throughout the day). Surprisingly, most rides were open including the outdoor coasters. The silver lining was that lines were never longer than 5 minutes. We went with a toddler and even in the rain, we were able to hit most of the highlights in 6 hours. Highlights include Mickey and the Wonderous Book (6/5!): Simply wow!!! The quality of this production was near Broadway and a nice tribute to the classic Disney movies. It's also inside, which is a welcome escape from the humidity/heat. Do yourself a favor and make sure you attend it. Mystic Manor (5/5): Smooth trackless ride that was entertaining from the very beginning. It might be a bit scary for some kids. Ant-man and the Wasp (5/5): Upgraded version of the Buzz Lightyear game. I liked how much easier it was to aim and to score higher (hit the triangle targets). I wished there was a grade at the end to see how you compare to others. Low lights include Parade (0/5): Parades are usually a highlight for a Disney visit, but this was probably the worst I've ever seen. The float was 3 attached cars and lasted about 1 minute. I'm glad we showed up last minute, but I would have been quite upset if I were one of those waiting 30+min for prime seating. I'm hoping it was just due to the weather, but it would been a more magical visit if Disney just cancelled the parade. Jungle Cruise (1/5): What makes this cruise enjoyable in the US are all the pun jokes that the Skipper tells. However, our guide just spoke in Cantonese with the jokes falling flat. The speakers weren't even loud enough to hear most of what she was saying clearly. I would skip this ride. Overall, the Wonderous Book show was worth the ticket price alone. There's still the Disney magic throughout that aligns with the larger parks in the US. There's a lot of reviews comparing to Ocean Park, but the experiences and target audience are different. The latter is more of an aquarium/zoo meets carnival and tailors more to older kids/teenagers as most "rides" have a height limit. It's also less accessible friendly especially the Summit that has more incline. Disney is certainly more "magical" and the layout makes it easier to explore the park at a leisurely place. read more

Did not have the best experience on my first visit to Hong Kong disneyland. To start upon arrival I was told there was a T8 Typhoon I had not warning or update from disneyland or the resort little sad as I had a reservation and everything. The day I had planned on visiting the Typhoon was a big problem resulting in the park opening late and me not being able to use my early admission ticket. I was staying at the the Disney Explorers Lodge the check in staff had recommended me save my tickets for the following day so I would get the full value, not mentioning I would have to pay a upgrade fee from level 1 to level 2. So the day of the typhoon I bought a same day ticket to save the pre bought one and early admission like the check in staff recommended. Sadly the typhoon was very mild barely and rain or winds but all the outside attractions were closed ( i was bummed). The next day I get ready to use my early park admission but on arrival they said I have level one and needed level 2. I let them know what the hotel resort told me and they said sorry we cant help you need to pay the upgrade. I was furious, your partner resort hotel told me I did not need to pay and now your charging me. I showed the receipt for the day before letting them know i didn't get to ride all the rides and now i have to pay even more. Laurel who is guest services and states she is the supervisor was of no assistance. Charged me more and tried compensating by offering one free ride pass. Thanks but I'm sorry it's not good enough. Thankfully upon returning to the explores lodge the check in supervisor was able to bring the Disney magic back and refund me my level 2 upgrade that was unnecessary he understood the error that was caused and fixed immediately as should Laurel from guest services should have. There was many people having the same issue at disney guest services all I can say is book with the resorts directly and take the issue to them they are more problem solvers then disney guest services. Disney please learn from this and do better, and talk to laurel about the proper way to resolve this problem like explores lodge did. read more

Pro: Barely a line anywhere, new castle, easy to get around, Sunny Bay express. Con: I can see Frozenland, but it's not open yet. Still my favorite over sea park. It's just easy to get in and out from HKIA or even the city. Tokyo may have better quality CMs and rides, but also comes with mass lines and stress from the size of DL and SEA. Not HKD, this is a perfect relaxation resort to kick back in. Unique rides - Iron, Ant Man and Wasp, Mystic Manor, Grizzly Gulch, 3 language jungle cruise. The food in this park are still top notch, especially the firework show view packages. read more

I just want to say that I LOVE DISNEY! I've been to all of the parks now except Paris and Shanghai now. I was so excited to add HK Disney to my list. I didn't have high expectations because I knew it would be smaller than Disneyland in Anaheim and Disneyworld but I was pleasantly surprised how much they packed into a such a small space. I loved that so many people were dressed up and wearing Disney gear just like the parks in the states. My highlights: 1. Loved Toy Story land because it's so unique and I just loved the decorations and how unique it was. I loved the unique headbands like the slinky dog and Rex ones that I've never seen before. 2. Items are so much cheaper than in the USA. The headbands are $150-250HKD which as like $15-30 USD. I haven't seen anything less than $50-60 USD here in the states. I ended up buying 3! 3. Hyperspace Mountain was such a pleasant surprise that it had a theme! I've never experienced that before and wasn't expected it. 4. Mystic Manor was by far my favorite ride! It wasn't scary and had more of a mysterious theme and had an actual story line which a lot of Disney rides don't have a clear plot. 5. Grizzly Bear Runaway Railroad was also mega fun! My gf literally screamed out mid ride "Man this ride is so short! It's shorter than the Thunder Mountain railroad at Disneyland (US)" and then the ride continues which was so unexpected! I had so much fun on it! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall, the theme pack can definitely be done in 1 day. I love how festive everyone is at the park and the park items are a lot cheaper than the US. The "common" food items aren't as good here however BUT the restaurant foods are AMAZING but unfortunately they aren't in the park and at the resorts/hotels (which can be a good and bad thing as you can eat there without a park ticket!). I had so much fun here and I'll definitely be back! Not as much do to as the US parks but also I didn't feel like it was lacking in any way and better than most theme parks I've been to. Must do if you're a Disney Fan. read more

The smallest Disneyland Theme Parks out there and also has different characters from what I grew up knowing. Asides from Mickey and Minnie, there are other characters I have never heard of or seen in my life. The food here is mediocre at best and the rides here only have one car, whereas other parks have at least two or three to get the line moving. So expect to be waiting an extremely long time at each ride because there's only one car per attraction. read more

I had Hong Kong Disneyland as one of the places that I wanted to go to, but I was fighting the rainy season and the humidity of late May Hong Kong. It just so happened that it was the first day of my trip that I came over here (use the MTR stations to get to the Disneyland Line, and the train itself is kinda cool because it is Disney themed with the Mickey ears as the handles and Mickey ear-themed windows, along with statues of Disney characters as well). Enter and enjoy! I feel like the walk from the station to the park entrance was just a tad underwhelming, with just a water feature in the front and then park entrance is right there- felt like they could add a little more Disney.. music? After getting a ticket (yeah I bought directly there, but you can also get on Klook for a tad cheaper), it got more familiar. The front and town hall area have the Disney feel, and even a Starbucks too (yo Starbucks, where is the You Are Here Mug for here :P ) , but going in, Sleeping Beauty Castle is small, tiny, and covered LOL. They're currently remodeling it but you can tell the size of the original... not that great. I went over and picked a random direction to head towards and off I went! I had heard amazing things about Haunted Mansion .. I mean Mystic Manor but it turns out I went the exact opposite direction of where that was (It was in the SW side, I went NE). Tomorrowland it was! Their version of what used to be Astro Blasters (does that even exist anymore whoops) was now Ant Man and the Wasp. I feel they made it easier for people here because my number was way higher than I expected it to be haha. Iron Man Experience was also in the area and took you around Hong Kong with Tony Stark; going to the ride was a lot of fun because it had a lot of decorations and prototypes throughout. There was a Tech Showcase here that I didn't make because it was one of the longer lines here. Oh, lines on the day I went were mostly less than 15 minutes, so going on the ride and re-riding them were really fun and made things enjoyable. Hyperspace Mountain was nearby and even that ride was less than 15 minutes and no discernable differences here. There was also an "It's a Small World After All" that actually didn't go too too bad, along with a Winnie the Pooh ride which was pretty fun (wish they had a Peter Pan's Flight to go with it here, but alas no). They have a Toy Story area if you walk far enough in the back and the only ride that intrigued me was the Toy Soldier Parachute Drop (this area is mostly for the children). The last areas here are for Jungle Cruise, Mystic Manor, Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars (which was not working when I went). Do ride Mystic Manor, it's pretty interesting! The other things here (the shows, experiences, etc), I didn't prioritize but I did hear that I should have tried Mickey's Philharmonic as a show. Oh wells. Lunch here was kinda cool; they have a mess hall area where you can get food! I had an abalone fried rice which was a bit overcooked for I wanna say $20. Hahhahaha. Yeah, HKDL is kinda small and you can get through maybe in 3-4 hours, depending on how long the lines are. I think I was in around 11a, out after the 3p parade, so I was there for a half day. It's kinda cool not having to wait in long lines and just being able to go to whatever ride you want. However, Disney did cheapen out here and now with Shanghai Disneyland open to mainland China, droves of people are gonna head there (it's way bigger over there). They're trying to expand and make new areas/lands here, along with expanding the castle, but it'll be a few years away. Might be back though. Probably. It's a cool and fun way to spend a half day or day here. They also do have a dim sum place, Crystal Lotus, so I do have a few things I need to do when I come back haha. read more

Old photos! Just wanted to post before I forgot. The ice cream was so good I miss it! Rides were fire. Not sure why most rides were in mandarin... Hong Kong is Cantonese... you can see the communist china takeover. ANYWAYS this is a place loved by all locals but it is small and you will finish quickly. You don't need to speak Chinese however, 最好至少有一位識講中文嘅人為細路仔翻譯一些遊樂設施中嘅情節,例如漫威鋼鐵俠遊樂設施!! read more
The highlight of my trip in Hong Kong! I love being able to experience different Disneyland parks in other countries. Out of the other Disneylands I have been to so far, Hong Kong is my favorite! First, this Disneyland park is the least crowded that I have been to. This made my time here so much more enjoyable. I believe the longest I had to wait was about 15 minutes and that was only for the Cinderella Carousel. All other rides were about 10 minutes or less! Not to mention, the shows were great. I highly recommend the Lion King show! Secondly, all the employees my boyfriend and I encountered were friendly and welcoming. We received little freebies from staff members throughout the day such as stickers, pins, and postcards, while others were extremely helpful in answering our questions. Additionally, everyone spoke English. Lastly, I thought the food the park offered were good and reasonably priced, and that is also the same for merchandise. I was able to snag a new set of sequenced Minnie ears for $13 USD. I recently checked out the Disney online store for the same exact ears and they were going for almost $30! Although this park is my favorite so far, there are some drawbacks. Compared to other Disneyland parks, Hong Kong Disneyland is smaller. As a result, there aren't as many rides, so you can easily cover the entire park in half a day. Also during our time here, the Cinderella castle was under construction, so they did not have the firework show. Lastly, unlike other Disneyland parks, this one closes fairly early. All in all, my boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Hong Kong Disneyland! I would highly recommend opening up some time in your trip to check it out! read more
We visited Hong Kong Disney on our first full day in Hong Kong. It was a huge priority for us. I have now been to the Disneyand in Hong Kong, Orlando, Anaheim, and Tokyo DisneySea for some perspective and this is my take from HK Disney... (+) The least crowded Disney property I have been to by far. This made the whole experience so much more enjoyable for me! We were able to casually stroll through the park and never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes at a time for any ride during the entire day! Oddly enough, the Winnie the Pooh ride had the longest wait for us! lol We were able to ride several rides multiple times! Really adds so much to the fun factor here! (+) All employees were friendly and helpful and all of the ones we interacted with spoke perfect English! Made it so easy to get answers to questions! (+) We had so much fun on Hyperspace Mountain (a must for any Star Wars fan!), Mystic Manor (although I still prefer the Haunted Mansion), Iron Man Experience, and especially Big Grizzly Mountain Mine Cars(so much fun we rode 3 times!) (-) The park is small by Disney standards. This could be one of the reasons why were able to ride several rides multiple times. We literally walked around the park twice and spent maybe a total of 7 hours at the park for the day. Tokyo DS was at least 3 times the size!(with about 8 times the crowd! :P) (-) Large areas of wasted space IMO. Large spaces for "gardens" and manicured lawn areas could be much better used for more rides and attractions, IMO. Although one day here will be more than enough time here, you still owe it to yourself to experience Hong Kong Disneyland when you visit! 4 solid stars! read more
I'm from SoCal, so I'm very much used to my version of Disneyland. This Disneyland is a bit smaller, but still had a lot of things that were new to me. Here's some of the major differences we noticed: Unlike Disneyland & California Adventure, this Disneyland has Toy Story Land! It's pretty much is modeled like California Adventure's "A Bug's Land" in a way where it's decorated to make you feel "small" like the size of a toy. I liked this land the most! There was also a ride called Mystic Manor, which is essentially the same ride as The Haunted Mansion, but it's monkey and magic themed? It's hard to say because I wasn't familiar with its theme... was it a show? A movie? In any case, it moved a lot faster than The Haunted Mansion and the animatronics were really impressive. This ride is also a lot louder and maybe even a little spookier than THM in my opinion (which is ironic). We also did the Iron Man experience, which is located near Hyperspace Mountain. There's a young woman that comes out in a lab coat (as if she works for Iron Man) who gives a little intro in Cantonese, and then the man himself steps out--but he can only stay a few pre-recorded phrases in Tony Stark's voice. Lastly, we saw the Lion King show. I believe I've seen this show before at Disneyworld in Florida, but it was cool to see how it was different in Hong Kong. The show is spoken/sung in English and Canto and the setting is in Africa (lol). It was a very worldly experience to say the least. Definitely try the Disneyland snacks that are unique to HK! I wish I got to try more, but I only ended up getting the dried squid, which was pricey ($8) but hit the spot. We came on a weekday when it was rainy (just after a typhoon), so there weren't a lot of long lines, which meant we got to see most of the park since it was smaller anyways. The ticket is also cheaper than Disneyland in Anaheim. It also closes earlier than the SoCal one, probably because it's on its own separate island and you need to be able to catch the subway back. If you stay until closing, the lines for the Disney subway back will be pretty long. Overall, it will definitely be a good time. I believe this is the smallest Disneyland that exists, but it's worth it to enjoy all the little things that make it unique to Hong Kong. read more
It's not as big as Anaheim Disneyland, but it was enough to spend the entire day or possibly two. I really love this park for it's uniqueness of certain rides, language and a flare of Asia. English and Chinese was spoken interchangeably at the shows, rides and announcements. A foreigner who only speaks English can surely survive here. Exclusive to Hong Kong Disneyland is Hyperspace Mountain, Toy Story Land (suppose to open one in Anaheim in SU 2018), Mystic Manor (alternative to Haunted Mansion), Iron Man Experience, and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (I heard it's also opening in Anaheim). It was a great experience for someone who's been to Anaheim Disneyland more that 10 times is really an interesting perspective. If you decide to take a vacation in Hong Kong, be sure to go to Disneyland. Plus the admission tickets is half the USD price than of Anaheim Disneyland. My favorite ride is Mystic Manor. It still gets your heart pumping like Haunted Mansion but the theme is a bit different. My favorite in this place is being face to face with the infamous MONKEY KING. I swear Disney is so genius with their animatronics. Smooth movements and almost lifelike even though they are cartoonish. Also what I like most, we went on a weekday and it was easy to get on rides quicker. SWEETTTTT! I definitely recommend everyone to visit this Magical Place! read more

Hong Kong Disneyland is a charming and more affordable alternative to its American counterparts, offering a full Disney experience in a smaller, more manageable park. While compact, it features many classic attractions alongside unique experiences, such as the thrilling Iron Man Experience, which brings a Marvel twist, and Star Wars-inspired rides that appeal to fans of the franchise. The park's dining is excellent, with a variety of options ranging from quick bites to themed meals, all of high quality. Currently celebrating its 20th anniversary, the park showcases exclusive merchandise, festive decorations, and special experiences that make a visit feel extra special. The day culminates with a stunning nighttime drone show, lighting up the sky in a memorable display. Overall, Hong Kong Disneyland combines familiar Disney magic, innovative attractions, great food, and festive celebrations, all at a more approachable price point, making it ideal for families and Disney enthusiasts alike. read more
Hong Kong Disneyland did not disappoint! The park was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. The cast members were friendly, the attractions were fun, and the overall atmosphere had that classic Disney magic. One thing that really stood out was how clean everything was.
