Breathtaking property situated next to the HK Convention Center in Wan Chai, this is probably of my favorite Hyatt Properties in Asia. Nestled in a prime location on HK Island, this isn't exactly the easiest to stroll onto if you're taking the MTR, so be prepared to haul your luggage to get here if you're not arriving by car. The view from the higher floors are amazing during the daytime and nighttime, and the walls are thick so you'll definitely have some privacy *wink wink* The lobby is quite Grand, with marbled and some carpeting flooring that exudes a grandiose welcome or farewell, upon entry or exit, respectively. We enjoyed our one night stay here, and were welcomed with some fruit and champagne to celebrate. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom is spectacular with a separate tub and a spacious shower for ultimate luxury. Definitely on par with what you'd expect from a Park Hyatt, such as the PH Saigon. The grand king bed was extremely comfortable, to the point where we fell asleep early shortly after laying down! Access to the Grand Club lounge was great for appetizers/snacks during the daytime, while the morning breakfast spread was quite extensive. We may indulged a bit too much for breakfast, but I highly recommend checking it out if you're staying here as an Explorist or Globalist. Cheers to my ridiculously awesome dumpling bae for arranging this for our last night abroad before jetting back to the stateside!

From the moment I arrived till the hour in left this hotel is five star all the way. The suite I had was perfection and the staff could not have been better. Not only will I stay here again but I have already told many of my fellow travelers to stay here. Its defiantly worth the money.

Fancy a three hour brunch on the roof terrace of a swanky hotel? Look no further. A friend who lives in HK arranged for a group of 10 of us to dine here one Sunday (it's very popular so be sure to book well in advance). The setting is fairly impressive, located in the centre of a lush garden by the hotel's pool - so expect there to be hotel guests lazing around in their swimwear whilst you eat! The weekend brunch and barbecue buffet includes a large range of salads, grilled meats and seafood, plus mouth-watering desserts - you're truly spoilt for choice. Oh, did I forget to mention the unlimited sparkling wine or Mimosas that are regularly topped up? (Albeit at a HK$198 supplement). The price for the brunch is HK$568 per adult and HK$269 per child. All in all it was a lovely way to spend a lazy day chatting and eating with friends. Would recommend.

If I could, I would rate the Grand Hyatt as 4 1/2 stars. We landed late at night on New Year's, and were really tired from our flight to Hong Kong. Once we arrived at the hotel, however, we were greeted with friendly and efficient service. Since it was the holiday season, we wanted a view. We were given the choice to upgrade to a remodeled room, a view room, or a remodeled view room. We just opted for the view room, and were led to a huge room on the 31st floor with an incredible view of the harbour. To be honest, the only thing that wasn't remodeled was the bathroom: while clean and big, it was definitely dated (unless you are into gold fixtures and black stone). With the view room, we got a front row seat to the fireworks the next night, so the upgrade definitely paid off. While the view was great, the service was great as well. With the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong outside, it was nice to head back to the hotel to be greeted in a friendly and helpful manner each time. In addition, the location is pretty convenient: we walked to the MTR station often, which was about 10 minutes away. If you are looking for a nice hotel in the middle of everything, you should definitely consider the Grand Hyatt,

This hotel was wonderful. Amazing customer service, great restaurants, nice view. Stayed for a week for business and was impressed. Room was beautiful, I would highly recommend! Love that you could lower the blinds down to close off the bathroom or keep it open. Conveniently attached to the convention center as well.

Grand Hyatt was a beautiful hotel! Stayed here for free when I used my Hyatt Credit Card free nights! I recommend getting the card if you plan on going overseas, 2 free nights and no transaction fees! The hotel itself larger then life and the decor is amazing. It was a luxury to stay here. The rooms were clean, large, and really comfortable. They provide free water bottles throughout the day which was great. The provide a cellphone with unlimited data all over Hong Kong for free! Such an awesome amenity. Service and concierge were very friendly and helpful. The spoke really good english. A lot of restaurants and bars throughout the hotel. Located by the shore and walking distance to the ferry if you want to go to Kowloon. Had a great time here and would stay again!

Definitely a five star hotel. The attention to detail is amazing. We've stayed here twice and loved both stays. The location is great - everything is walkable but bring good shoes. Friendly staff who was very attentive and eager to make our stay the best. We used the horizon club and had some really great food with a good selection of both western and Chinese foods. Weather kept us for the pool but it looked lovely. You can't beat the harbor views. They are stunning.

The service is due to the fact that the tourism college is connected to this hotel, so they're very committed to making sure the students know the proper way to treat customers. Secondly, all the amenities that come with the stay were fabulous! We opted for a Harbor view King room on the executive level. Totally worth the extra coin!! Our mini bar was filled everyday and everything in it was delicious and complimentary. The breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor was a real, quality buffet. It had dim sum, traditional English breakfast items and American items as well. There was an omelette station, an udon station and a fresh juice station! This buffet was complimentary with our executive room. You could also enjoy breakfast upstairs in the Above & Beyond lounge, which we tried once. But it was a menu only option and the buffet was too good to forgo. Another perk of the executive room was the complimentary tea time and cocktail hour in the Above & Beyond lounge. The rooms are a little lacking of soundproofing, so I'd suggest earplugs and white noise if you're a light sleeper like me.

The lounge was wonderful for a quiet breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails. And the minibar in the suite was well stocked with sodas, juices, water, tea and coffee. The suite was reasonably priced versus suites in other hotels and allowed an occupancy of two adults and two children. Definitely recommend this hotel.

It's been featured in shows, movies, and music videos and it's semi-old school 80s/90s vibe is a thing of nostalgia. Don't let the exterior fool you, this hotel is still worthy of its 5 star status, where the rooms are super contemporary and modern and run for anywhere from $500-$6000 USD a night. Whether it's a high floor with city or harbour view, it's a guaranteed comfortable stay. The bed is so comfy that I wouldn't want to leave the room either. While some folks enjoy the skyline view from The Peak (#1), I think it could be argued the more impressive view is directly from here. The panoramic views of the breathtaking skyscraping cluster of Hong Kong is perfectly on display from the Kowloon waterfront, which makes for all the reasons TST is the place to be. The breakfast buffet had a huge variety and there was definitely something there for everyone. We enjoyed the various restaurants on the property and a couple of the dishes were outstanding. However, a day into our trip we had a rather big snafu with my father's mobility scooter breaking. Obviously this was going to affect our trip in Hong Kong, but Raymond, the Chief Concierge came to the rescue! He lent us a wheelchair to use and arranged for a rental scooter to be delivered to the hotel. He kept in touch with us throughout the week, giving us suggestions and making us feel like we were the only guests in the hotel. I can't say enough good things about Raymond, except kudos to you, sir. A++. You, alone are a reason I would return. The hotel was packed because of the Chinese New Year. I observed how well the staff worked with each other and the guests; it was a well oiled machine. There were some festivities in the lobby to celebrate and the general manager, Mr. Wipper was there. Ah it all made sense now. The extraordinary attention to detail and exquisite service came down from the top! It was clear this GM had standards and his staff respected that, and him. The airlines had cancelled our flights home because of expected bad weather. Bobby, the rooms manager, whom we had met upon arrival, didn't flinch. Although they were at capacity, he somehow managed to extend our stay for 3 additional nights and then change again when the airlines cancelled us for a second time. Well done Bobby - the airlines could learn a thing or two from you. All in all, we had a marvelous time at The New World Millennium hotel in Hong Kong and I would highly recommend staying at this property!
