Unlike standard hot pot which starts with a pot of broth, here you first received a sizzling, spicy chicken pot. The waitress asked us to wait a few minutes before lifting the lid, so the chicken gets to caramelized and the aroma to intensify. After you finish the chicken, they pour some broth into the almost empty pot to deglaze it, and viola, a flavorful broth is ready for you to begin your hot pot experience. This place offers a lot of varieties of ingredients for dipping into the pot, as well as a variety of drinks. Even though the place is really busy, the staff is pretty nice. The walls are decorated with cute cartoons and even the placemats too has a cartoon showing you how to properly enjoy your chicken hot pot.

You eat the chicken first and then your server adds in the chicken stock so you can hot pot with stock that is now flavored with leftover chicken juices and yummy sichuan spices. Honestly, this should be the only way we should hot pot from now on. But then again, Hong Kong is already on top of it. I'm American. It hasn't reached our shores yet, but it damn well should. On a Monday night (8PM), the wait was an hour long for our party of five. We ordered more food than we can handle, including a whole chicken, and paid HKD $200 (USD $27) each. Notably delicious foods included the chicken (duh), yin yang cuttlefish paste (very bouncy texture), and herng lings (deep fried soybean paper rolls that you dip into the soup for a second). This location is a little weird in a small street, but if you have Google Maps, you should have no problem finding it. Also, this is a chain so you can find one closer to you. P.S. Dishes are half off after 10PM. Ask your server for clarification.

We ordered two flavors of soups: Thai soup and tomato soup, which I usually ordered. What stood out most was the service. Everyone was welcoming from the moment we arrived, and our server was incredibly attentive throughout the meal and they were always quick to help with anything we needed. The food was solid and they have a lot of options to choose from, and all the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. We ordered a large Wagyu beef and it was melt in my mouth tender . Their veggies were fresh and delicious Overall, we really enjoyed our hot pot dinner with excellent service and yummy food . I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Hong Kong.

One of my chopsticks was dropped on the floor and before I had a chance to look down the floor, I already got a new one. They also offer rounds of hot towels and a wipe to wipe your glasses in case the steam gets in the way. Besides the impeccable service, the food was also very fresh. Half portion was recommended so we could get a variety of food. My aunty ordered a toad (??) for me to try. Super tasty like chicken. You can choose up to 4 broth ranges from water to super spicy. The restaurant gets very crowded and busy and they do not take reservations. For dinner, we arrived at 530pm and there was no wait. The restaurant environment is very lively. Serving robots moving around, face-change performers, dancing noodles, happy birthday song singing... My eyes were very busy! If you end up having to wait for a table, they serve you fruits and tea while you wait. I even saw a manicure station there! Some locations open 24 hours a day so give it a try when you are in town.

It was bustling and brimming with the sound of happiness and good food. It was an amazing experience. Now, apparently, they are no longer able to set up tables outside. What a buzzkill. It's definitely hurting this neighborhood hot spot. I talked to the owner for a good while about it, among other things. He's opening up another location, so I don't think the al fresco crack-down will have a long term impact. On my last visit, the meal started off with a mystery chip like appetizer. The owner brought out a basket of something he promised my co-worker and I would enjoy. Only after we agreed to eat it, did he agree to tell us what it was: fried fish skin. I love being surprised like this. I always go with the peanut satay soup base. It is the most amazing broth I have ever had in my mouth. Utterly to die for good. If you've never been to a hot pot restaurant, basically you pick your soup base and then a bunch of veggies and/or protein that you will cook in that soup right at your table. One thing I love about this part of the world: the vegetable selection. Damn, do the Chinese know how to eat.
