None of us were familiar with the area or restaurant. So let's do a "why not"?!? Lunchtime makes this a popular spot! Many locals- both adults and kids were on their lunch breaks filling up the tables. We were lucky to be seated right away at a round table! The little things, but it did make our conversation so much easier! Our server spoke clear English and was nice in helping out with menu items as well. Drinks were immediately served, as we were all thirsty and we gladly sipped our ice cold Singha beer! A small pitcher of water was also on the all the tables which was so much easier than asking for a water refill 10x in the miniature cups. Our 5 dishes came out quite quick for the amount of people there which was a nice surprise! We ordered a little bit of a few things so all could share family style. *Fried rice (in a pinneaple) with shrimp- (definitely the show stopper with a beautiful presentation. Taste was good but nothing over the top. A little sweeter than I was expecting. *Shrimp spring rolls- nicely cut up and perfectly cooked with a fresh filling * Regular spring rolls- hard to go wrong on these and very flavorful and delicate *Kale dish with pork- not like the kind of kale I was expecting, but pleasantly surprised, very good and crunchy with a nice sauce * Curry dish- I don't recall the actual type of curry but it wasn't the normal ones like red, green or yellow. It wasn't my favorite but it was ok. I wasn't keen on the meat which was in it. My verdict: it was way more food than the 5 of us could handle but we thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and company. If in the area again, I'd definitely come back to try my favorite, pad thai! Plenty of seating, clean restrooms, great service, good food/presentation and decent prices! (Also to note, the seating is outdoors but today the weather was great with a less humidity and they also have plenty of fans.) It was a great "Why not?!?" Life should be about more of them!

I started off with their Tom Yum soup and boy was it amazing. Some places tend to serve it too creamy, too spicy or too sour/tart but this places does Tom Yum soup proud with the perfect mixture of harmony. I don't personally usually order Tom Yum soup at Thai places because how easy it is to screw it but my Aunt personally recommended that it's good here and I'm so glad I got to try it. Highly recommended. Next came something I never had before, it was raw shrimp served dressed with some chili and garlic slices. Also to accompany the shrimp was a spicy sauce which looked to have some vinegar, cilantro, green onions, chili peppers, and other spices. It had a nice clean kick to it. Next was the pork shanks simmered in what looked to be five spiced broth with Chinese broccoli. The pork was very tender and full of flavor. Definitely worth trying here. On came the skewers, we got beef, chicken, and pork. This was pretty decent but the meats could have been more tender. Out of the three, the pork skewer tasted the best as it had more meat flavor compared to the others. Next came some garlic bread which was good but what made it stand out was the curry that you had to dip with it. Amazing curry! It was a little sweet and reminded me of Malay curry. Then came a whole perfectly cooked chicken. It was so fresh and tender. It was so good that I ate the bulk of it! The white meat could almost be confused with the dark meat in a blind taste test. That's how good it was! Next came the Egg Plant but I'm usually not a fan of Eggplant but they enjoyed it. Then because my Aunt knows the owner, we got a special off the menu item which was a Pumpkin Prawn curry with noodles (yee mein). One of my favorite kind of asian noodles. It went so well with the curry. Definitely recommend ordering it if you can haha. Next to lighten up the already huge amount of food we ordered for 4 people lol, we got a salad with consisted of little Pomelo pulps, cashews, small dried shrimp, chili peppers, green onion, and baby shrimps. Chicken wings were deep fried in light batter, came with a sweet and spicy sauce. Crispy and juicy but a bit too oily for my preference. Morning glory could use a little more salt, it was a good portion. We actually ordered the crab fried rice but got the shrimp fried rice. It was still very good but having some basil would of been nice. Tom yum was delicious! Pot came with fire to keep the soup hot. Staffs were friendly and I would defiantly return!

We live in LA where there's a plethora of Thai restaurants on every block, and LA is known for their large Thai community. While they may not be the most authentic food, it does familiarize us with the smells and spices of Northern and Southern Thai cuisine. Having said that, we felt this little joint was just a cut above ALL the Thai restaurants we've had. With a group of 6 people, we ordered somewhere around 10 dishes. It was overkill but soooo good and I still dream about the food to this day. I highly recommend getting anything with seafood in it. They're right next to the ocean and all their seafood tastes super fresh and so juicy. My favorite dishes of the night were the Penang seafood curry that comes in a delightful coconut shell, the Satay skewers, the spicy beef salad/larb, and the fried prawns with fried onions and sweet/sour sauce. It was amazing! The only dish that I would say to avoid is the pad Thai. We get that a lot in America so I just wanted to see how it's done abroad. Other recommended dishes are the pomelo salad with prawn, Tom Yum Soup, grilled pork neck, curry dishes and the sweet & sour steamed fish on a stove. Once in a while, their fresh young coconuts are on sale for a discount of something like buy one get one free. Watch out for their special deals on the wall!
