The problem is that, well, the shops, or should I say kiosks, down here are all geared towards takeaway (or rather grab and go) so their isn't really any place to sit down.

Lei Tung Station is a South Island Line Station that serves a predominantly residential area. The station connects to severals malls that surround a bus terminus. The bus terminus itself is served by cross harbour bus routes and buses that take people to the city centre and other nearby neighbourhoods, so it seems that they are operating in direct competition with cheaper, albeit slower bus services. The station itself is reasonably pleasant. Being one of the newer stations in the system, it uses MTRs newest ticketing equipment. This station is wheelchair accessible, and offers one elevator from the concourse to the platforms. There is also one escalator going down and another one going up, and a flight of steps at the south end of the platform. You can strategically place yourself near the correct escalator via the Fast Exit function on the MTR app.

One of the MTR's newest stations, the HKU stop on the MTR debuted a little over a year ago. Whatever the case, it's great to finally have a dedicated station to HK's most recognized university. What's important to highlight is that it is modern and supremely clean. The walls are spotless, the bathrooms are cutting edge, and even the info booths look as if in fingerprint free windows. There aren't a lot of exits at the station, which makes it super easy to navigate and there are elevators aplenty. For being the biggest station, it doesn't feel windy or hilly like some others and is fully air conditioned during all hours. Even during the rush hour of the morning, the station never feels too busy. It could be due to the fewer folks on the west side of the island, but I've really never had to deal with crowds like some of the other popular stops along this line. Despite the lack of rush hour crowds, the attendants are still at this station directing people traffic like no other. In all, I look forward to stopping at HKU. It reflects the quiet nature of the neighborhood and will hopefully maintain that "new car smell" for the new few years.

Mind you, it was kind of tricky because I had visited most of the stations. Yeah, this wasn't bad, and it was a nice trek to get there as well.

The thing that I noticed about stations in Hong Kong is that they are pretty much all the same,…read morethough the tiles on the walls do have different colours. I guess that is one of the reasons they managed to build such an extensive metro system so quickly. The other cool thing is that there are multiple exits, making it a decent way to get to the station without having to brave the elements, or have to deal with waiting at lights. Sure, they aren't impressive like some, but they are functional, and the trains are pretty frequent as well.

Wan Chai MTR is central and bustling. It provides access to the harbour side and mountain side…read moreattractions of Wan Chai, like the computer center, Star Street, Wan Chai Street Market and wet market, Johnston Road tram stop, Southorn Playground, Immigration Tower, and Wan Chai Tower and ferry terminal via the raised walkway above A1, A2, and A3. Exits are pretty central to the station so there aren't any looong underground tunnels, but the design of human traffic is poor. In fact, one wonders if it was even considered at all. Paths cross in crazy snarls. The platforms can get very busy at rush hour so leave yourself a few extra minutes. Also, there are many phone-gamers, slow-walkers, and standers-on-the-side-of-the-escalator-meant-for-walking. So prepare to be annoyed. Pushing always helps! Inside the station there are the usual 7-11, Circle K, Mrs. Fields, and Hang Seng. And now with Kennedy Town service, the station is busier than ever! A note: the only escalator to street level is at A3.

Causeway Bay is a primary shopping district in Hong Kong that has plenty of retail stores as well…read moreas other shopping to offer like department stores (Sogo, etc.). There's even an Ikea. Also plenty of restaurants nearby that you can eat at. Even an Outback. You won't be disappointed. Trust me! It's so easy as the first when you get off is signs. I had to go there to ask how to add an app. It's where I usually go to.

Definitely take the time to take notes because the U.S.A can definitely learn something from this amazing, convenient and efficient transportation system in Hong Kong! Prine Edward seems to be the transfer station for Kwun Tong Line but also the station to get off if you are interested in doing some market shopping! Flower Market, Bird Market, Meat Market and Ladies market is located on this line! Very convenient and a short walking distance from each other! Make sure to exit B. This area also has some great food joints located nearby. Its also walking distance from the Mong Kok station as well! My first time visiting Hong Kong and I was able to go everywhere I needed by using the MTR. Never did I have to use a Taxi because the trains come every 2-3 mins and it opens super early and closes super late! Trains here are very convenient and easy to navigate, please note that during rush hours it does get crowded and people are crazy! Whoo. They push, tug and shove you to make sure they can get into the train. The signs and maps are all in English as well as Cantonese so it's really easy to get around on your own. The MTR seems to go all over the Hong Kong Island. There does seem to be a lot of walking when changing line so be prepared to walk. They are NOT lying when they say that Hong Kong has a huge population! There are people everywhere at ALL times of the day and night. So be prepared for the crowds and you may miss a train or two because of it being over crowded. Don't worry, they come very frequently! OCTOTPUS CARD: This was the BEST thing Hong Kong could have ever thought about! Get an Octopus Card as soon as you arrive and you will good after that! What is an Octopus Card you may ask? It's a card that you can store money and use on buses, trains and in convenient stores such as 7-Eleven! This saves you so much time during the boarding time. You purchase one during your stay in Hong Kong and before you depart you turn it back in and get your refunds of your deposit back when you return the card. (Not a bad deal!) TIPS FOR FIRST TIME RIDERS: When going up the escalator, walk on the left and stand on the right. This will help risk people motioning for you to move out the way and the risk of the displeasure of everyone behind you! I am happy to say that I have witnessed the most AMAZING transportation in the world! Hong Kong indeed has the BEST transportation!
