Finding this place can be tricky as the lobby is not on ground floor, but you have to go up stairs to get there. To get to the hotel from the airport, take the A11 or N11 bus which has a bus stop right across the street. It's $40 HKD, exact change, and your stop is number 13, Wan Chai Fire Station. After getting off, go towards the crosswalk in front of the bus stop, make a right across the street, then make a left before the building that says "Yesinn." Go up the stairs, and if you see 1F, you need to go up 1 more floor to 2F in order to get to the lobby. There's a $100 HKD Cash deposit upon checking in, so bring some change. Also, bring your own towel as the place will charge you for using a towel. The common room is pretty chill and there are almost always other english speaking solo travelers as well if you wanted to meet with people. Room is big, clean, and quiet while the bed is light for solo travelers, but it's not bad. The place has a locker for each bed and there's a reading light. Note that there are no outlets except the UK outlet, so US and EU plugs will not work. List of things to bring: Soap Towel $100 HKD UK Style 220V plug Overall, 9.5/10 great place to stay.

Anyways, I first went to this place because my friend was visiting Hong Kong and he found this place and asked me to go check it out. Surprisingly it is located in the centre of Causeway Bay and just 2 minute walk to Time Square and the rate each night was just around HKD$200. I probably will give it a try if one day I am homeless as it is definitely a bargain for all. The common room is very cozy and as a hostel, it is where you will get the information where to go around Hong Kong and meet up with people. They have computers and printer for use; and a kitchen right next to it. The staff are very young and funny which is also a plus. The room was rather nice, the only disadvantage might be that you have to remain your curtain down as it is in Causewaybay and you should know about the seriousness of light pollution in Hong Kong, but it could be easily fixed. The room was very nice and definitely not noisy at all. But given everyone comes here to party, so who needs to sleep anyway? And the highlight of this place is 100% the rooftop. It is like a free beer garden. Of course you need to buy your own beer but supermarket is just around the corner. The rooftop is very spacious and nicely decorated where you can chill, get drunk and meet up with friends. I highly recommend this place for tourists as it is definitely FAR BETTER than other hostels in Causeway Bay.

Nathan did a fantastic job of showing us around HK and introducing us to the cuisine. The small…read moregroup setting is nice as it allows you to interact with others throughout the day. The stops included a traditional dim sum restaurant (average), a bbq pork spot (very good), a noodle shop (ok), a milk tea vendor (ok), and ended with an egg tart (worth skipping). I actually didn't feel like I ate very much on the tour. The dim sum spot offered the best chance to fill up but it was first and we were advised to pace ourselves. My advice would be, order lots of pork at the bbq place and don't be shy about what you want at the dim sum spot. Food wise I don't feel you get a great value on your tour but you do get your money's worth from the guide. Nathan's emails after the tour were a huge help in planning the rest of our trip. He provided lots of recommendations for bars, restaurants, day trips, etc. During the tour he was very informative and I learned a lot.

Niya was an AMAZING tour guide. She showed us the real Hong Kong and brought us to several food and…read moredrink spots that I would have never thought to stop at if I were on my own. Her food and drink recommendations were spot on as well. She gave us all kinds of facts on the local culture, the history, Chinese medicine, and backgrounds of all the places we visited. She also followed up with emails of our great photo moments and lots of info on spots to visit and nightlife in HK. If I didn't know better, I would have thought she lived her whole life here!! It was a pleasure spending the day with her eating, drinking, and running around the city. I'd recommend this tour to everyone with a few hours to spare while in HK - it's something you'll never experience on your own.

Competition in South Korean aviation is intense that's why standard with these airlines are often high. Operating with a fleet of Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 777-200ER (Extended Range), these aircraft were transferred from its parent airline, that's why the interior is similar to it, only the head cover is different. I got to fly on this airline twice from Gimpo to Jeju and return on both 737-800 and 777-200ER and here is my observation. The Boeing 737-800 type dominates the fleet and it flies on Hong Kong to Seoul Incheon sector. I wanted to book with this airline but the airfare is quite expensive. The seat pitch is the standard for LCCs, a tight 30' inch so don't expect much. You can pay for entertainment by renting a mini tablet and in-flight meals, there is a menu on this on the seat pouch. Service - you can expect a set of professional and friendly crew taking care of you. As for the airline's Boeing 777. It flies on longer routes and also on Gimpo to Jeju route, but not to Hong Kong. What is unique about this aircraft is it has both 2-5-2 (first and second section) and 3-4-3 (last section) seating configuration. So if you get to fly this aircraft, I recommend the 2-5-2 if you are flying solo or with a partner. Overall, my experience with this carrier is an excellent one and I highly recommend this airline for its efficiency and excellent safety record.

They have a…read morenumber tours, which tend to be either based on a particular location, or based on a theme, like urban myths, festivals, or even the cemeteries. The tours are usually about 3-5 hours, and take place day and night, depending on the theme. They are conducted by a English speaking local, which is great as they understand the history, language and culture, and impart this to their guests, but can be sometimes a bit bothersome, as their English isn't 100% fluent, and you have to get over that odd meter of Asian speech. The guides are very friendly and knowledgable though, so you should have a good, informative time. On these tours, they provide radio headsets, which is a really innovative touch, as you can spread out a bit as a group and enjoy the scenery, yet still hear the stories and lectures. Group sizes are moderate at about 20 people, of course depending on the popularity of the tour. As well as the sights and sounds of modern HK, the guides also bring some props, historical photos (via iPad), and other items to enrich the tour experience. The prices for tours are around HKD250, which isn't cheap, but for an occasional "different" activity (we can't always eat out and go to the pub!), I think it is well worth it. When considering tours, you may prefer to go on one of the more established routes, whether it be location or theme based. I went on a recent Ghost Festival tour, and whilst it was fun and engaging, I didn't feel it was very well structured. It felt like it was a first draft speech, and this was probably due to this tour only running twice a year.

The meals provided during the 14-hour flight were fresh, hot and the serving sizes were very reasonable. I also appreciated the options during each meal presentation. Oooh and the snacks and alcohol beverage selections were great! One challenge that did present myself was the full flight and the lack of comfort for rest. Guests were given a thin/light blanket and pillow but there wasn't much room for seats to be tilted or leg room; I wasn't able to sleep well. I wasn't extremely satisfied with the entertainment with the few options for movie and television show selections. But I was grateful and watched Goodfellas TWICE haha . Top notch service was given by the flight attendants; very kind, patient, helpful and very respectful. Overall the aircraft was clean, reasonable temperature.

They were very kind, and walked around often. Very good service. Now the bad. I few on Philippine Airlines to go to Hong Kong, and had a lay over in the Philippines. The plane took off over an hour late, and had to land somewhere else to refuel. We were stuck there for over another hour or so. My flight came into the Philippines over 3 hours from when it was suppose to arrive. That made me almost miss my connection flight to Hong Kong. On the way back, the plane took off over an hour from when it was suppose to. If you need to be on time, do NOT take this airline. The plane there was a much older plane and not as comfortable. The plane back was somewhat newer but still older then the more recent planes that I have been on. Again, the service of the cabin crew was amazing. BUT, if you need to be on time getting somewhere, do NOT use this airline. First time flying on Philippine Airline, and will be my last. The tickets may be cheap but they are cheap for a reason.
