We got 4 different dishes: - Curry pork chop (very mid - don't get it, it's not good curry) - Satay beef noodle (ok la, decent) - Scrambled eggs with roast pork (good, runny push eggs and roast pork has good flavor) - Scrambled eggs with truffle shrimp (delicious! Best selection!) Milk tea was ok. Wish it was stronger. #yelpinHongKong

I saw a picture on IG for Cafe Seasons for their pork chasu scrambled eggs over rice with soy sauce. I've been on a cha chaan teng mission so I had to try this. My friend and I shared the chasu and egg over rice and tomato soup macaroni with beef slices. The tomato soup macaroni also came with a plate of scrambled eggs and white toast. Chasu and eggs rice plate: We ate earlier in the day so I wasn't that hungry but I had to try it. I really enjoyed this - another comfort food winner! Eggs were scrambled perfectly and it went well with the sweet chasu and soy sauce. Tomato soup macaroni and beef: I tried a little bit of the soup and I found the soup to be sour and the macaroni too soft for my liking. I believe that this is the Chinese version of tomato soup when you're sick. It's not my thing so I'll pass on this next time. Scrambled eggs with toast: Creamy scrambled eggs on toast was also very good. I managed to eat one slice of toast with the scrambled eggs and couldn't eat any more for the day. Cafe Seasons is well lit (not like the look of the dead everyone has at Australia Dairy Company) and servers are efficient and dare I say friendly. I liked the chasu egg rice plate so much I went by myself two days later :)

I dropped in on a Wednesday around lunch time and it was busy with mainly locals/businessman. I didn't spot an English menu so good luck ordering if you don't speak or read. I asked a businessman who helped me; it's mainly noodles and rice. Most were getting takeout. - Fried rice with ham and egg ($36 HKD) - good wok hei to the rice. It's pretty standard fare but flavour was good and not over seasoned. Pretty solid portion size too. Good, cheap street food. Cash only. 3.5 stars.

I ordered their lunch special of curry beef brisket with rice and a yin yang (coffee and milk tea). The curry wasn't too spicy and there was a healthy portion of beef brisket in it. The brisket was also tender. The yin yang was decent but nothing to rave about. The lunch set was about $43, which is about average for a lunch set. There is plenty of seating which is filled with white collared patrons from the nearby offices. The service is fast and along the lines of don't bother me and I won't bother you. I will probably come back here if I'm looking for a quick lunch option.

My food has always come out accurately so their efficiency has not made them lose accuracy. Food: I like what I've had, which has included steamed fish with rice. I've also had black bean sauce spareribs with bell peppers and onions over thick rice noodles (ho fun) and it was quite good as well. Price: Prices are quite reasonable here with options on the $30+/40+ range.

I would give this place a 1 star but at least we were seated and served and the food was edible. We decided to eat here for an early breakfast to say goodbye to my family members before my flight back home. I ordered satay beef with noodles which came with eggs and a bun. This place is always packed. From what I've seen, every time I pass by the place it is almost a full house whether it is the early early morning (8am) or later in the evening so I can kind of understand not being able to seat 6 people immediately. However the situation was handled extremely poorly by their waitresses. THE SERVICE: First of all, one person from our party arrived early and asked for 6 seats and had stated we were willing to wait a bit since we understand 6 people is hard to seat together in such a busy and small restaurant. Fortunately, there were 6 available seats within a matter of minutes and so the one person from our party was told to be seated and was told that the other 5 seats were reserved for our party. Within a few minutes another group of people were seated in our seats that were reserved (keep in mind this was within a matter of a few minutes and wasn't like the seats were reserved with no shows for hours). Obviously this caused a huge commotion when the rest of the party arrived to our reserved seats being taken when we were promised we would be seated together. After all of this, we asked what happened and the waitress seemed annoyed and asked us to sit away from each other and obviously we refused since we had reserved the seats to be together and it was our last meal before my flight home. This caused a bit of an issue and we wanted to leave and find a different restaurant that would seat us properly, however the waitress became irritated and found us a new set of tables since people had coincidently just left. We finally sat down and decided to order, however, another waitress came to take our order and gave us attitude and grimaced at every single word we said to her. It was absolutely rude and we felt the entire staff was shooting us dirty looks while we ate. THE FOOD: honestly was not very good. Maybe I was already put in a bad mood by the lousy service, but the noodles and beef were oddly greasy (as pictured) and not balanced at all. The beef tasted like it was not even seasoned one bit. I felt like the beef was cooked separately with 0 seasoning and plopped on top of the noodles and the grease just sank into the soup, making the entire dish just a messy attempt at satay beef and noodles. The eggs were also poorly cooked. The only good thing was the lemon tea I ordered. My other family members felt that the food was mediocre as well. I ABSOLUTELY HATE GIVING POOR REVIEWS and I really wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the blatant rudeness and attitude of the workers and the disappointment of the food was just awful. Honestly the city of Hong Kong is known for its amazing food and restaurants and I did not expect my first 2 star review to be in the city of such great food. I cannot believe with such lackluster service and food that it can still function as a restaurant in a city with such iconic cuisine.

The menu here is much more extensive though. In fact, it feels overwhelming at times. Having said that though, they serve any variety of the Hong Kong classics, and they serve it darn well. I've been here twice now, and both times I've been really satisfied with my meal. The first time I had a spare ribs with hor fun with black bean sauce and cream of corn with fish over rice. The hor fun was perfectly stir fried, and I appreciated that there was a healthy portion of spare ribs. The fish was still crispy, even with the sauce on it. The second time I went was afternoon tea time so I had their BBQ pork with scrambled eggs and XO sauce over rice. I loved the extra kick that the XO sauce add, and the eggs were very silky smooth. We also got the beef chow fun which stir fried until it as perfectly dry but not too oily. It had a lot of "wok air", which implies the heat used to cute it was high enough. Lastly, we got the classic scrambled eggs with ham and toast. The eggs here were also light, fluffy and perfectly cooked. One of my favorite things about this place is the model of Hong Kong life! In a display case that spans one of the walls, you'll find what looks like a typical street in Hong Kong. It has the mini buses, taxis, people, short houses with clothes hanging outside. It's super cute! The inside is also decorated to look like a classic cha caan teng. Would I go out of my way to come to this place? Probably not, but if I were in Hung Hom it's definitely my top choice for Hong Kong style cafes.

My colleagues all prefer this shop, and indeed, the chicken was much tenderer and juicier. And also the spciy clam, which serves in a wooden pot, was very yummy. With a bigger group of people, the meal continued after we finished the spicy chicken. By adding soup to the pot with spicy sauce remained from the chicken dish, we now have a boiling hotpot with a nice spicy base. The meatballs are all handmade, and I highly recommend the black pepper chicken meatball :) Nice place for group gathering, some beer, Sichuan chicken and hotpot.

Taiwan Bowl is famous for their deep fried chicken steak so, of course, we had to try that. There was also a set where you could pick 3 toppings over rice. In general, their sets come with rice or noodles and a drink. The price range is anywhere from $46-$64. I thought the chicken steak was well seasoned, juicy, and definitely big enough to fill you up. I thought the minced pork sauce (you can pick spicy and non spicy) that it came with was a little bit too thick but still very tasty. We had a dumpling where the skin is made with egg, pork cartilage, and mushroom and pork balls. Everything was delicious and my tummy was quite happy after finishing it all. If I'm in this area I would consider coming back to Taiwan Bowl, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come here.

The gorgeous interior is matched with equally incredible views of Repulse Bay beach, making this one of the city's most romantic spots. Visually, this is the gem of the Le Comptoir group. As expected, the execution of their largely SE Asian (Balinese) menu is beautifully presented. Higher end Indonesian is serious business around here, commanding a higher price range and instagram worthy plating. During their dinner service, I've only had their beef rendang, nasi lemak, and a sample range of sates (satays). All were on point, even if the portion size leaves much to be desired. I've been told brunch is a good time to come here, but the menu choices (which include poached eggs, fried chicken for kids, and baby pork ribs) seems uninteresting by comparison. At around 130HKD a drink, their cocktails are pricey, but are a good vehicle for playing up the Bali resort experience. The Nusa Dua Grog (rum + lime/grapefruit juice + palm sugar syrup) is sweet yet potent, while the Padang Padang Lemonade (vodka with pimms, sweet + sour) is an easy choice for novice sippers. My favorite drink overall has been the Uluwatu Runner (tequila + maraschino liquor, bergamot juice, grenadine, cinnamon). I wonder if these drinks are actually available in Bali itself. I have had mixed reviews with the service from stellar treatment to slower than expected experiences. Most of the time, the bartenders are friendly and the wait staff is on top of it. Don't worry about mispronouncing the Indonesian dishes / drinks, chances are the staff is doing the same. Note: The massive long table in the main dining room is literally a tree. It is stunning. I wish I could've thrown a party here.
