Went here for a quick bit to eat for lunch with some work colleagues and was pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality.
This is a Chinese style vegetarian food where they use meat substitutes to look and taste like real meat. Normally I am not a fan of this, I love vegetables but if i want some cha siu pork, I'll buy the real thing.... In saying this, the food was delicious.
We ordered five dishes to share between the four of us. Their fried rice was delicious, it was an interesting mix of asparagus, egg and avocado. We also ordered a plate of cha siu "pork", Peking style sweet and sour "steak", taro "fish" cakes and and an egg, broccoli and "crab meat" dish. All came out hot, in the Chinese style of when they were ready and not all together. All the fake meats resembled the look and taste and texture of their meat equivalent except for the taro cakes. They just tasted and felt like taro, not fish like at all. This was fin as they tasted delicious as taro cakes.
I would recommend coming here with a group as it will be hard to order a variety of dishes if you have no one to share them with. read more
