I believe there are 6-10 screens here. You can definitely find new movies released here. Its not shabby and they don't really check if you are bringing in snacks or drinks.

But I was worried the seats would fill up, so I went all the way to Causeway Bay and purchased the ticket in person a few days prior. To be frank, I also had trouble finding the place because Google Maps likes to make a fool out of me On the day of the movie, I arrived ahead of time but there were already a lot of people (possibly diehard fans) waiting to be let into the theater. I made my way over to the concession stand and oh my lord, the menu almost brought me to tears. Curry fish balls. Siu mai. I would've ordered all of those if I had more hands and more stomachs. I didn't so I just settled for the good ol' popcorn. The seats inside the theater were so spacious. And the cup holders near the bottom of the seat? Pure genius. Now, I don't know if all theaters in HK are like this but I'd definitely make more of an effort to go to another one when I'm back in HK.

The move price tickets are commensurate with the atmosphere. Tickets for 2D movie run 130 hkd and if you buy online there is a 10 hkd service fee. Definitely not cheap. I usually buy my tickets online because I like to know where I'm sitting. The process for printing your tickets is quick and efficient (just a swipe of the credit card used). The movie theater itself is nice. There is pretty good food options a full stocked bar. Each screening room is fairly compact so as long as you aren't sitting too far in the front you will have a good seat. The seats are wide and comfortable. The screen is big and makes for a pleasurable viewing experience. I have seen a number of movies here and prefer it over the movie theater at Times Square or IFC.

Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold, but I think that's more of a Hong Kong problem then it is a problem of theirs. The popcorn is tasty. You can choose from caramel, chocolate or salt / butter. You can even mix! If you have a Platinum American Express card, it's buy one get one free on Thursdays and Fridays! My only complaint about this theater is how the theaters are separated. They're split between the 6th, 8th and 10th floors of The One. I wish they were just all on one floor. Besides that, I would definitely recommend catching a flick here.

Just watched Jurassic World here (no spoilers below)…read more That's why newer cinemas with smaller theaters are better. Although they are located in different floors, the theaters are all conveniently located next to the escalators. And for popular movies like Jurassic World, they have multiple theaters showing it, so I have options to watch it at 8:00pm, 8:30pm, 9:00pm, 9:40pm... so flexible that it sounds like you can just walk in and there will be seats available. For smaller theaters, there are a few more perks too. Even row E (fifth row) is never too close to the screen. Actually I'd even say row E was perfect. Less people getting in the theater late, too. The sound system was great. 3D effect was okay, as I was never a big fan of it anyway. But most surprisingly, the vibration effect on the seats (which only available every alternate row) was great. You can definitely feel the immersion when the dinosaurs making big steps on the ground (and it does simulate real-life experience too, right? when you have heavy vehicles passing by, you feel the vibration on the ground). Anyway, I'd definitely prefer to watch movies in smaller theaters now. IMAX is great, but doesn't worth the money nor the time fighting for the perfect timeslot and perfect seats.
