I am a huge fan of anything tea, and my favorite tea is Tin Kuan Yim. I told my cousin, that and…read moreshe took me here with her family to get Tin Kuan Yim Ice cream! Are my friends in the states reading this? Yes, you read that right, Tin Kuan yim Soft served Ice cream. It was every single drip of ice cream you dream of! it was so tea-ish! It was more than amazing!! I was completely obsess with this afterwards. I wanted it everyday! i wish they had this in the states!!!

Nice, Ten Ren Tea Station basically for Hong Kong, dubbed as 天仁喫茶趣. Based on multiple visits in the…read morelast 2+ years (plus having had Ten Ren drinks in Taipei) I have to say this location comes pretty darn close. Comparing Ten Ren tea drinks in Northern (and Southern) California to this Hong Kong location: Prices in Hong Kong are dirt cheap in comparison, nothing really above US$2 on average. Quality is easily x2 to x3 than that in NorCal (and quite possibly SoCal) Thus we pay x2 to x3 as much at 1/2 to 1/3 of the quality, bottom line. Employees are very efficient. A ten minute wait for a drink after paying, is considered a hellish wait even if the line seems long. Even if one of the employees is slacking off, he or she is washing/rinsing cups or blender vats in one hand, and surfing social media/checking texts with the other. Multi-task slacking and getting drinks out the door. And some of you out there have no qualms about 1.5 hour wait for ramen (or a food truck), or 45 minutes for a watered down tapioca milk tea drink. Sigh. This Ten Ren also has a limited selection of imported Taiwanese tea, tea snacks. Octopus (MTR/subway/public transportation) cards accepted for payment (stored value card). You can sip on your drink while browsing books and magazines in Eslite bookstore. Honey green tea, some matcha based drinks, even a classic like Chrysanthemum Pu-Er, are all very good. Honey green tea, even if semi diluted, is still better than the crap in the States....the Wattes....(like Lattes in coffee shops, except Watte is water with a shot of tea). What more can you ask for?

Sharetea is a big and successful franchise in Hong Kong and I can tell why after trying their…read moredrinks. First of all, for $20 HKD and such a large size for both milk tea drinks, it was an amazing deal. And for $22 HKD the kumquat lemon drink was also refreshing and fragrant. Sharetea impressed me so much because of the variety and the quality for the price. The amount of items you can choose from at a low price is awesome. And the milk teas actually taste like tea and not just milk like most boba places. Their milk tea and green milk tea were both sweet and milky while retaining the true taste of each type of tea. This combination along with the tasty texture of the boba really sells it for me. Their boba is a good size and flavor + there are so many!!! I've never gotten so much boba in a boba drink in my life! Secondly, the kumquat lemon drink was impressive because of how fresh the taste was. You can really tell it's made from real fruit and it's a great drink for sunny + humid day in Hong Kong if you're looking for something light. It's very sour though so make sure you like the taste of both kumquat and lemon before you order this drink. I'm so glad that sharetea is a chain in Hong Kong and hopefully they extend to the US where I reside because their boba drinks are phenomenal!

Oh, Sharetea. Thank goodness I can count on you to be good. Milk tea+boba = thumbs up. The…read moreworkers here also speak English, so HUGE plus. All the other customers that were there when I was there were English speakers, so I think they're used to tourists (especially since they're so close to Times Square). Only downside is you gotta wait on a crowded sidewalk for your tea....
