I never thought I would review a place like this but actually, there are a couple of things to note…read moreabout it. Yeah, it looks crappy and in fact, it is crappy inside, but it's tidy and it sells some good stuff. I only walked in because there was a bunch of people at the entrance crazily buying something and was curious to find out. It's a pretty big space (a lot bigger than the ParknShops and Wellcomes around) and it sells fruit, vegetables, frozen meat, fish and processed foods (for frying), milk, oils, canned foods, sauces and pasta, mainly. The fruit and veggies section could make you cry though - they always look so...'expired' really. So please head to Causeway Bay wet market, 5 minutes walking, for those. The big deals here are the oils (olive oil - extra virgin, 500ml for 37HDK...!!), the canned tuna and possibly the milk. I also found some very cheap smoked trout and Anchor butter (from New Zealand, grass fed). These items are not only cheaper than in other supermarket, but they are also good quality so their value for money is really amazing.
If you are into frozen foods, this is your paradise then as they have huge counters around the shop floor...I am not so keen and I would only buy some fish, every so often. It's definitely not a place for weekly shopping. I never buy everything in the same place - but for those items above, it's the best place.
