There's also a courtyard where local artisans setup carts of their arts and crafts for the holidays. It feels festive when it is decked up for Christmas with drizzles of machine-made snow. There are many boutique shops and restaurants for guests to explore between events. The flower shop alone is worth visiting -- their arrangements are exquisite. The amazing band at the Verandah seems to be able to improvise songs that guests request at random. The most entertaining thing at my cousin's wedding was him singing with their accompaniment. As for the food, it was okay. The Lobster Bisque was the best thing for the night of my cousin's wedding. I am not sure if I would enjoying eating at The Verandah had it not been my cousin's wedding. The Repulse Bay though is worth a visit, for there is many things to see and do if you are tired of the city.

The sauce is not starchy and the pasta is not mushy. The set lunch goes between $42-$48 HKD, which is about US$6, and includes entree plus soup or tea/coffee. They don't charge extra for cold drinks, and the coffee comes with warm milk. Service is very friendly and efficient. They have breakfast for HKD22-33, and lunch and dinner with entrees such as lamb chop, spaghetti bolognaise and ox tail stew. The place is a little hidden away, a short alley walk away from the busy shops, but there is a sign pointing you up the alley. It's across from the Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, which should help you find the place.

It is more relax and chill than the Wanchai location I had been to on this trip. All Day Breakfast is the way to go and probably the best deal if you want to have a flat white and something to eat. For me, coffee though is the star. Piccolo Latte ($36+10% SC) is not something I would indulge myself daily at this price point. My rating is based on the following: Coffee: 4.5 stars Food: 3.5 stars Experience: 4 stars Recommend: the Istanbul (seasonal drink), & iced cappuccino The coffee here is one of the better coffees in town. They have some unique offerings here where you can have coffees flavored with various different sweeteners (agave, Manuka honey, Okinawa sugar). They also offer seasonal drinks which change periodically. My favorite drink here is the Istanbul. The pour over options are done by a machine. The barista claims that it makes a more consistent cup of coffee but it really detracts from the experience and really makes me question the high cost if this isn't done by hand. I buy my beans for use at home here and the offerings they have from Indonesia are my favorite (West Java or blue roca). Price is bit cheaper than other shops especially if you use the prepaid charge card. One complaint is that their beans are not always recently roasted and can be over a month old. The food here is pretty good if you grade on a scale of cafe food. A bit on the pricey end but still nothing crazy. I wouldn't come here for the food but wouldn't mind eating here. The baked goods are ok and not something I would order.
