Shoes off before stepping into the seating area. Menu si known for homestyle cooking and an iconic dish is their pottery kebab. Meat is slow cooked in a sealed pot for 3 hours. The pot is then brought to the table, cracked open, and the contents poured onto a plate in front of you. Very aromatic, flavorful, and tender. They also make their own wine in house, which is a must try. Red wines are served cooler, though not cold. I also recommend the little little on the middle menu item as it consists of a lot of small shareables, similar to mezze, that you can enjoy along with your meal. Staff is very friendly. They even gave us a tour of the wine cellar which was really neat.

My girlfriend ordered grape leaves which were vegan and perfect for my girlfriend and had a strong grape leave flavor. The Capadoccian wine we had alongside the meal was surprisingly good and we were given free tea and cake at the end of the meal. This was one of my favorite meals in Turkey and is no tourist trap. Make sure you come here if you visit Goreme.

They have both table and traditional floor seatings, and we opted to settle onto the cozy cushions on the ground. We ordered the medium mezze plate, chicken and rice, and grape juice. Every mezze was delicious, but my favorites have to be the eggplant and the spicy pepper dip. As for the chicken and rice, the chicken was melt-in-your mouth tender, but what surprised me the most was the rice. Although it may look like your standard rice, it must have been cooked in a rich chicken broth for it was incredibly savory! Overall, this was a unique dining experience. It was a great way to end our trip to Goreme.
