Introduction classes taught me routines, steps, the basics of ballroom overall, and higher-level courses taught me further nuances with more detailed patterns. I highly recommend private lessons from this studio - I saw immediate results, with massive improvements to my posture, balance, steps, and the subtleties of each kind of dance. The studio has a wonderful sense of community, with a large number of events throughout the year; On Friday nights, the studio teaches a dance workshop accessible to all levels, rotating between several fun routines - this is followed by a dance party in which the floor opens to general dance with a great atmosphere (lights, music, etc). As a plus, at the time of this review, the dance party is free to anyone who attended the workshop just prior, so you get two experiences for the price of one! The studio offers more than just ballroom itself, with classes in technique, fitness, strength, ballet, line dances, and more. Variety is nice! The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly, and the atmosphere is always positive. For anyone who wants to try out ballroom dance, whether experienced or entirely unfamiliar (like I was), I recommend Arete!

Victoria simply let her sit there and observe. 3 years later, my daughter got her skills as well as her confidence from Victoria's ballet. She practices 3-4 times a week but never complains. In fact, inspired by her I started taking the adult class from Victoria this year and so far really enjoy it. I love the fact that she deeply cares about her students, kids or adults, and she wants to let everyone truly understand and appreciate the beauty of ballet. Before going to Victoria's , I was looking for a place that would teach the right way to use/train muscles and breathing instead of just focus on techniques and fancy moves, and it has been a difficult search. I am so glad I found her. Her teaching is unique and precious. I made tremendous improvements in my dancing skills and body shapes. Okay, as far as I know, it's the only place that offers adult contemporary. Luckily, it's a great class. Adrienne Foley is a beautiful, relevant, and attentive instructor. I am thrilled to have found her class at Zohar. Kristine Elliott's ballet class was challenging and fun. Unfortunately, I'm usually unavailable during her classes. After Adrienne's class on Mondays, a group of flamencos wait to start their class. It's so great to have a studio nearby with several options of dance styles. The studio is down the long drive off of Middlefield and left, once you get to the parking lot. Parking can get hairy at 6pm (parents picking up their kiddos), but if the large lot fills up, there's plenty of street parking.

Nadeen and all the teachers inspire and invigorate their students--highlighting the importance of confidence and believing in themselves--all the while motivating them to do their best and achieve excellence. The choreography and range of technique is amazing. More importantly, the social emotional learning is very special - especially in dance. The recitals are so so well put together, with professional sound, lighting, costume, and choreography, which is surreal considering that it organizes hundreds of kids into so many back-to-back ~3 minute dances. Luna also feels like a space for inclusion whether the kids are rapidly advancing in skills and there to be with friends and have fun. My daughter has done 4 recitals, and I've done 8 (in the adult hip hop class). We've loved every minute and can't recommend it enough!

I am relatively new to working out - 17 weeks of consistent exercise and still going strong! Let's…read morejust say I am on the large size, and I don't always feel comfortable dealing with fitness people, but this has not been the case at all with FIT. I am working remotely with their trainer Jeff. With a relatively small investment I have all of the equipment I need to transform my family room into a workout space each morning. I work out through face time with 3 other women, each of whom are in much better shape than I am. Jeff tailors a program for each of us, so that we are doing similar exercises at the same time fitting each of our needs. He has been particularly good at helping me find ways to continue to work out despite some knee issues. He is amazingly responsive. What I'm enjoying most is the balance in the workouts between strength training and cardio. By the end of every workout I really feel a sense of accomplishment and have worked up a good sweat. I feel that great feeling of having worked hard and accomplished something, but I don't feel so exhausted the rest of the day that my day is shot. I feel revved up rather than beaten down. If your looking for a way to workout from your home, I would give FIT a call. I find the cost reasonable. You don't need your own home gym just some weights, an adjustable weight kettle ball and a mat will get you started. I highly recommend.
